Section F, Chapter 52: The Attack (Anusen)
On the first floor of Cold Snow Castle, next to the statue of the dragon god.
The secret passages are once again opened, and corruptors wearing the armor of the Eurasian Empire continue to emerge. The few remaining guards in the hall have been killed, except for the knights who have gone to the kitchen to fetch food for the mad dogs, who may later wake up under the treatment of Dr. Enis. Because he planned to help Eddes and them after delivering the food, Anusen didn't change the shield sword on his body at all. And that's what saved his life.
A sword slashed through the Corruptor in front of him, and the knight crossed his shield and resisted the hammer.
Seeing that there were more and more enemies and that they were about to be surrounded, Anusen suddenly pinched the amulet after deflecting off the enemy's attack, and quickly prayed for the power of the guardian angel. In an instant, a pure white shockwave spread out from all around the body, shaking over many of the Corrupted. However, some of the soldiers stabilized their center of gravity with their powerful armor and shields, and were only pushed back for a short distance.
Without missing the opportunity, the knight immediately enchanted the shield with the impact energy, and the shield slammed into the enemy formation at high speed. The Corruptor who tried to intercept them were all shaken back by the blast energy emanating from the shield, and they couldn't get close to the man at all. Rushing all the way to the stairs before the brief enchantment of a few seconds was over, Arnusn hurried up and nearly crashed into the guards of Snowcastle who had come to reinforce him.
"Quick, gather all the staff to block the stairs on both sides!" yelled at a soldier, who stood still, just pointing to his face, as if asking something. Impatiently raising the long sword in his hand, the knight shouted in a rough voice: "What are you grinding?
It was only after saying this and the other party still did not act that Anusen suddenly realized that he had made something wrong: he was excited, and he was speaking in Eurasian language.
However, no matter how anxious he was, he could not make such a complex sentence in the knight's broken Brna language. Fortunately, the other soldiers except the man understood what the knight was trying to say. After a few quick local words, the guy ran to the end of the hallway - presumably to deliver a letter.
While losing face, the knight finally understood why Captain Eders had specially selected and ordered a few riders to follow him. The reason for this is definitely that they can understand Eurasian language...... It's no wonder that I didn't feel disobedient before, but the man yelled in Eurasiatic, which must have something to do with the fact that I was used to calling all the way before.
The enemy was slow to rush up, and seemed to be waiting for reinforcements to arrive before attacking in unison. Several soldiers around him took out their shields and swords, but they kept staring at the white robe on the knight's body with uneasy expressions: it must be because they felt strange because they had too much blood on their clothes, right? If they had been careful when fighting those two monsters before, maybe they wouldn't have been so embarrassed.
Damn, it's a secret passage under the statue again! Aren't these people out of a new trick? Despite all the angry cursing, the knight had to admit that the enemy had not expected this move: most of the guards of the Cold Snow Castle had gone out to fight and blockade the woods, and the internal defense was empty. It is not too easy for the current Cold Snow Castle to be captured.
However, a fierce fight and shouting soon dissipated the knight's thoughts. Listening to the noisy noise, it dawned on Anusen: Could it be that the guards in the Highland Barracks had noticed an anomaly and kicked open the locked gate to come to their aid?
Before the knight could imagine whether the soldiers could control the situation and report the news, the soldiers around him rushed down the stairs and rushed to support. One of them tapped the knight on the shoulder before leaving, and shouted something at him in Brna. Vaguely recognising that one of the words was "we", Anusen followed the group in a daze: there was no need to understand this kind of words, but they probably meant both.
First, join us in killing the enemy. Second, we'll leave it to us. Now that the weapon has been taken out, the knight himself will definitely choose to ignore the second option.
Rushing down the roundabout staircase in three steps and two steps, the knight soon joined the flank, outflanking the enemy. Reinforcements from the western staircase also appeared at the first time, and although there were only three of them, they could still play a leading role. The entire hall was bustling with enemies, and the space for each person to move was very narrow, with only about two positions.
The guards inside the gate were engaged in a fierce battle with the enemy, but the outnumbered and the immense psychological fear caused by the Corruptor's eyes caused them to rout in just a minute, and retreated outside. Enemies poured out of the hall in droves and began to rush towards the towers and walls.
Once the gate was lowered by the enemy, the soldiers who had been driven back from outside could no longer support the heights, and could hardly take the gates - not to mention, the abutments at the bottom of the long steps of the heights had been modified to have the gates on the east and west sides and the fortified battlements. It's extremely defensive.
Last time, I had Guladan to help, but this time I won't...... Suddenly remembering that he hadn't seen Lucina at all, the knight parried the enemy's attacks, trying his best not to let his eyes fall on the pair of Yulan's pupils: where can that guy go? Could it be that he couldn't sit still before, so he went to find Lusa? With her frizzy personality, it's entirely possible.
I've got to get to the control room in a hurry, or the enemy will be able to lower the floodgates first, and it will be difficult to get back in the way...... Seizing the moment, the knight swung his shield in reverse with the Corruptor's powerful slash, slashing another enemy who was about to stab his comrade to death.
After the man's shouting of gratitude, but completely unintelligible, the knight stepped back nervously and surveyed the battlefield: there was still some distance from here to the door. You have to find a position with fewer enemies and rush over as soon as possible......
Looking around, he finally found a marginal route that few enemies were guarded against. Although he felt sorry for the soldiers who remained here to fight, the knight had to leave.
Holding the amulet in his hand again, the knight slowly moved to the edge of the hall and silently prayed. After a burst of white light, he enchanted the blast energy on the shield for the second time, and then strode desperately to the door.
However, just as he dashed through several enemies and rushed out the door, a huge air flow of weapons suddenly came from the back of his head. Hurriedly rolling on the spot to dodge the attack, the knight caught a stunned glimpse of what flashed overhead: it was an ancient giant with blocks of ice still on it.
