Section B, Chapter 6: The Corruptor (Cyberdart)
His mind went blank, and Cyberdart instinctively rolled on the spot, dodging the slash.
The Corruptor let out an angry roar, picked up the hollowed-out giant with one hand, and dragged it behind him as he slowly walked towards Cyberdart.
Damn feet...... The elf struggled to his feet, stepping back as fast as he could.
How did he get out of the ice? A puddle of broken ice swept over the corner of Cyberdart's eye: it looked like the ice that had frozen him had broken on its own......
This means that there is likely to be a resurgence of other Corruptors. A sense of dread gripped him: he was surrounded by an army of ice.
The surrounding environment is very cramped...... Cyberdat looked nervously and quickly around his surroundings: the gap between each soldier was narrow. Such an environment should be conducive to the local use of long-handled weapons.
He's slow and I can pull the distance far enough...... Nervously staring at the movement of the Corruptor's elbows, Sebodat almost crashed into the ice sculpture behind him.
The Corruptor picked up the giant sword again, and Cyberdat ducked it and drew two daggers.
The act of bowing his head caused a pain in his brain again, and Cyberdat stared intently at the enemy, who was only four paces away.
I can't fight him in my physical condition...... Cyberdat stared at the armor under the Corruptor's cloak: besides, the enemy had an armor advantage.
The Corruptor leaned slightly, and after two quick steps, the Yu behind him slammed into the elf's body.
Not at all expecting this quick attack, Cyberdat stepped back slightly, barely dodging.
Why is the action so sudden so fast...... The elf looked at the giant cypress inserted into the ice in amazement: it had noticed it from just now...... What kind of strength can be used to do this?
With the sound of the giant axle pulling out the ice, the elf barely managed to dodge another top-down slash on its side.
Ignoring the pain of his foot injury, Cyberdat quickly deviated from his backward trajectory and circled behind an ice sculpture.
However, to the elves' surprise, the Corruptor did not care about obstacles. He half-turned and slashed sideways, slashing the ice sculpture with a single blow.
Retreating one after another, Cyberdat stared nervously at the enemy's movements, ready for the next dodge.
There is no end to this...... The enemy is an undead and cannot use these to consume his stamina.
The headache has subsided, and the side effects of the quick spell are subsided.
Tried to channel the mana in the body, but as expected: the magic in the mana net was still depleted.
The enemy's movements became faster and faster, and Sebodart's dodge became more and more difficult.
With the momentum of the charge, the Corruptor unleashed a slash with unstoppable force. The elf barely dodged, but was knocked to the ground by the enemy's swift left fist.
Rolling on the spot to dodge the slash, the elf trying to get back up is picked up by the Corruptor with his left hand and thrown onto an ice sculpture.
Holding back the sharp pain in his back and the vertigo caused by the impact on the back of his head, Cyberdat crossed his twin swords and tried with all his might to block the Corruptor's slash.
The weight of the giant sword itself, combined with the incredible force of the swing, knocked the two short swords to the ground in an instant. The elf's arms were also numb by the impact of the block, and they were almost broken.
The elf that tried to crouch and slip away was picked up by the Corruptor who had dropped his weapon with his right hand and choked his neck.
His feet were lifted off the ground, and the elf, unable to breathe, desperately tried to break the hand that was holding his throat. However, the strength of that hand was extremely amazing, and it became tighter and tighter.
The Corruptor and the Elf stared at each other, an ethereal, low sneer coming from within their helmets, and their eyes seemed to grow brighter and brighter.
Dagger...... My dagger ...... Cyberdart, who had already developed a hypoxic reaction, suddenly remembered the small dagger pinned to the back in case of emergency.
As if grasping at a life-saving straw, he desperately reached for his left hand and untied the dagger.
Spotting the gaps in the armor connections on his enemy's arms, he stabbed his weapon into it.
With an angry roar, the elf was brutally thrown to the ground.
Taking the opportunity to pick up the two daggers that had fallen, Cyberdart stepped forward and stabbed at the Corruptor. However, the elf's body was still weak, and this counterattack was easily crushed by the enemy's kick.
The dagger was drawn, and the enraged Corruptor snapped it off. Picking up the giant axle again, he angrily walked towards the elf.
Several slashes in a row, Cyberdat spotted the weapon's trajectory and dodged: he had decided not to use his weapon to block the attack. What's more, dual-wielding short swords is not conducive to parrying.
However, after a few dodges, Cyberdat felt his left foot getting heavier. But the enemy did the opposite, and his movements became more and more rapid.
After another massive swing, the Corruptor with his weapon suddenly stopped moving.
Noticing the Corruptor's helmet, the elves who wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to kill their enemies chose to distance themselves: their eyes glowed with icy blue and cold light were now burning with ice flames.
Soon, a thick chill emanated from the Corruptor's body, and the white and unbearable cold made the elves shiver.
Twisting his head, the Corruptor whispered eeriely picked up his weapon and clenched it with both hands.
It was changed to a normal grip for both hands...... Slightly surprised, the elf raised his twin swords and continued to retreat.
He had pulled far enough away that the figure of the Corruptor in the snow and mist was hazy: he hadn't caught up.
If I continue like this, I'll be able to quit this group of ice sculptures in no time...... The elf looked behind him, still not daring to be careless: he had to keep his eyes in the direction of the enemy.
The enemy still had no intention of moving, he just stood in place, as if he had been reduced to an ice sculpture again.
The speed of retreat increased, and the figure of the enemy gradually disappeared in the snow and mist.
Seems safe...... Sebodat relieved himself slightly, and turned and walked forward: he didn't know why he stopped suddenly, but he was able to break away from the frozen army.
But the strange whisper kept ringing in his ears, and it made the elf creep.
Just in case, Cyberdat was still holding a dagger. However, after getting out of the tense battle, the swelling pain in the left foot became more and more intense.
Can't stop here...... Fearing the possible resurrection of the Corruptor next to them, the elves decided to make a quick escape despite their foot injuries.
Just as they were about to step out of the frozen army, a slight click made the elves' minds go blank. After the first sound of the ice breaking, a continuous clatter came from all directions.
Immediately realizing what this meant, the panicked elf forgot the pain and limped away.
The ice sculptures beside him began to slowly shatter, and the whispers that hit the soul gave the elves a headache.
He could feel the unbearable chill coming from behind him, accompanied by the sound of muffled footsteps and ethereal laughter.
The dazed girl kept walking, longing for the light at the end of the hallway.
However, the door seemed to be getting farther and farther away from her......
There are still seventeen years and two hundred and thirteen days left at the end of the world.
