It's December 13th, National Memorial Day!

Eighty-one years ago, on December 13, the invading Japanese army captured Nanjing and carried out a terrible massacre. After six weeks of purgatory, the lives were devastated, the blood stained Qinhuai, the water was red in the Yangtze River, and 300,000 of my compatriots were brutally killed by the Japanese invaders.

Let us take a minute to observe a moment of silence for those who died 81 years ago, on the way to work, during the after-dinner walk, and before the good night break.

Please leave a minute for our nation and the pain of this nation.

Today, we commemorate the compatriots who died with a national memorial in order to protect the memories that cannot be forgotten and to safeguard the hard-won peace.
