Chapter 551: Hufflepuff and the Tail Snail
If Harry thought things would get better once everyone got used to him as a player, he was very wrong.
Since coming out of the owl room, Harry has been in the middle of a whirlpool of public opinion, and no one can help him.
As soon as he went back to class, he inevitably ran into other people. Apparently like the Gryffindors, the others thought it was Harry who signed up for the race.
Unlike the Griffons, they are not happy at all.
Normally, the students of Hufflepuff get along well with the students of Gryffindor, but now, they are all very cold.
A class in herbology illustrates all this.
Clearly, Hufflepuff's students felt that Harry was stealing the limelight from their competitors. It may be because they don't get any accolades, so they have a hard fight for Cedric, the man who won them honours by beating Gryffindor in Quidditch.
Macmmy and Frary usually get along well with Harry, and now they don't talk to him anymore.
Even though they were still playing bouncing ball on the same plate, they would laugh sometimes when Harry's bouncing ball jumped out and hit him in the face.
Ron didn't talk to Harry either, and Hermione sat between them, forcing them to speak. Although the two answered her as usual, neither of them looked at the other. In the end, Vanlin had to take Hermione away.
"These two people are hopeless. β
Harry felt that Professor Sputlaw had distanced himself a lotβshe was understandably the head of Hufflepuff.
Normally, Harry looked forward to Hagrid's lesson, but taking a lesson in the protection of magical creatures meant meeting someone from Slytherin. It was the first time he had met them as a player.
Unexpectedly, Malfoy arrived at Hagrid's cabin with the usual sneering look on his face.
"Hey, look, the contestants are coming. He deliberately said to Kra and Goyle where Harry could hear him.
"Do you have a signature book? It's better to get one now. I'm worried he won't live long...... Half of the Three Witches players died...... How long do you think you'll be able to make it up, Potter?, I'm guessing you'll be playing in less than ten minutes from the first mission, but my father doesn't agree, he thinks you're less than three minutes. β
Kra and Goyle burst into laughter, slapping Malfoy's ass. Malfoy said no more, for Hagrid spun out of the back of the house, holding a crumbling tower of wooden crates, each containing a large fried tail snail.
Frighteningly, Hagrid began to explain why the snails were slaughtering each other, because they were so energetic in their confinement.
The solution is for each student to tie a belt to each whelch and take him for a walk.
Van Lin didn't dare to imagine what kind of leash he was going to use to lead these fire-breathing shellfish with their tails for a walk.
Hagrid thinks it's a golden retriever?
Is this teasing them?
Of course, this is not without its benefits.
The only good thing about this plan was that it completely distracted Malfoy from Harry.
"Take this thing for a walk?" he looked into the box, disgusting. "Where is the strap to be tied to, around the sting, on the tail, or on the suction cup?"
"Tied in the middle. Hagrid said, demonstrating. "Well, maybe wear dragon skin gloves as a special precaution. Harry - come over here and help me look at the big ......
Actually, he wanted to talk to Harry alone.
After everyone else had left with the snails, he said to Harry very seriously, "Harry, are you going to compete as a school player?"
"One of the school's players. Harry corrected him.
Hagrid's short-sighted eyes under his thick eyebrows looked worried.
"Harry, do you have any idea who put your name in?"
"You believe I didn't do it?" Harry struggled to express his gratitude for it.
"Of course I do. Hagrid snorted. "If you say it's not, you're not you. I believe, Dumbledore believes, everybody believes. β
"I wonder who did it. "Harry is in pain.
The two looked at the lawn, and the class spread out, and with great difficulty, the snails were three feet long.
Strong and powerful, no longer colorless and shellless, a thick layer of shiny gray armor has grown, and they look like giant scorpions and elongated crabs. It's a pity that there is still no head and no eyes.
Now they are robust and almost unmanageable.
"Hermione, be careful......" Van Lin shouted in the distance.
Van Lin directly grabbed the tail snail with his magic power, and then slowly moved to Hermione's side.
The damn thing was so strong that he and Hermione had been pulled down several times, and Van Lin had completely lost his patience.
"Looks like they're having a pretty good time, huh?" Hagrid was happy.
Harry thought he was talking about fried snails. His classmates must be unhappy, because any fried tail snail can jump away with a "whirl", usually a few yards away. At that time, the person who pulled it was miserable, and it would be pulled down by it, and now there are already a few people lying down there, struggling to stand up.
"Perhaps, I hope they don't freeze......" Harry sighed.
"Frozen?" Hagrid, a little confused, "you mean ......"
"Nothing, Hagrid......" Harry shook his head, staring at a few of his best friends.
"Ahem, Harry, I don't know. Hagrid sighed suddenly, looking at him worriedly. "The players of the school, why did you run into everything?"
Harry didn't answer, yes, it seemed like everything had caught up with him. Somewhat as Hermione had told him during her walk by the lake, as far as she knew, that's why Ron stopped talking to him.
But the same is true of Van Lin?
However, the relationship between Van Lin and Ron has not been particularly good...... Moreover, Van Lin is usually very low-key at Hogwarts, and no one thinks he is a celebrity, of course, before the Quidditch World Cup incident.
The rest of his life at Hogwarts was terrible for Harry.
He had been in a similar situation before. It was in second grade, and during those months most of the school suspected him of assaulting his classmates. But there was Ron by his side to support him at the time.
But now, he thought, if he had Ron's friend by his side to support him, he would be able to handle all the other students in the school.
But if Ron didn't want to talk to him, he wouldn't try to convince him to talk to him. Still, he felt lonely, and it felt terrible to endure disgusting stares from all sides.
He didn't want to trouble Van Lin, he wanted to be on his own, and Hermione.
He was glad that he and Ron had such a sober pair of friends, but it was ...... after all
