Chapter 792: Upstairs and Downstairs
Meanwhile.
......
"I think Dumbledore thinks it's safest for you to stay with your Muggle relatives—" Ron began.
"Really?" Harry's eyebrows raised, "Have any of you been attacked by Dementors this summer?"
"Yes, no, but that's exactly why he's sending members of the Phoenix Command to follow you all day......" Ron said.
Harry felt a violent shaking in his legs, as if he had just stepped on an empty step as he had just descended the stairs. So everyone knew that he was being followed, but only himself.
"But, they didn't do a good job, did they?" Harry did his best to calm his voice, "I still have to take care of myself, don't I?"
"He's so annoyed," Hermione said in an almost awe-inspiring tone, "Dumbledore. We saw him. He almost panicked when he found out that Montungus had left his post before the shift was handed over. ”
"Well, I'm glad he left his post without permission," Harry said coldly, "If he hadn't left his post I might not have used magic, and Dumbledore might have left me in privet road all summer." ”
"Aren't you, haven't you been worried about the Ministry of Magic's hearing?" asked Hermione calmly.
"No," Harry lied in a challenging manner.
Harry stood up and looked around, Hedwig standing comfortably and contentedly on his shoulder, but the room didn't seem to be cute for him to purify his soul.
It was damp and dark. A white canvas was set in a beautifully decorated frame, and the peeled walls were exposed everywhere, and as Harry passed by, he thought he heard something lurking out of sight, smiling secretly.
"Then why is Dumbledore so eager to throw me into the darkness?" asked Harry, still trying his best to maintain a casual tone, "Did you—um- not ask him at all?"
Harry glanced at it, and saw that they had exchanged glances, telling Harry that what he was doing was exactly what they feared to happen. Nor did it improve his mood.
"We told Dumbledore that we wanted to sue for the operation going on," Ron said, "and we tried, man. But he's really busy right now, we've only seen him twice since we've been here, and he doesn't have much time, he just wants us to swear not to tell you anything important when we write the letter, and he says that the owl might be intercepted halfway through. ”
"He can still inform me if he wants to," Harry said succinctly, "don't tell me that he doesn't know any way to pass on information without an owl. ”
Hermione stared at Ron and said, "I thought so too. But he just doesn't want you to know anything. ”
"Maybe he thinks I can't be trusted," Harry said, looking at their expressions.
"Don't think so," Ron looked panicked.
"Or maybe I can't take care of myself. ”
"Of course he wouldn't think so," Hermione said nervously.
"So the next question is, why do I have to stay at Dursley's house while the two of you are able to participate in everything that is going on here?" said Harry, the words rushing out one after the other, and his voice became louder with each word, "Why are you two allowed to know everything that happens here?"
"We didn't!" Ron interrupted Harry, "Mom wouldn't let us have access to the meeting, she said we were too young-"
But before he could understand it, Harry had already screamed.
"That's why you didn't come to the meeting, dear Ron! You're still here, aren't you? And Van Lin and Hermione, you're still together! And I, I've been left at Dursley's house for a month, and I'm better at dealing with problems than you two, and Dumbledore knows that—who saved the Philosopher's Stone? Who uncovered the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets? And who rescued you two from the Dementors?"
Every bit of pain and anger that had erupted over the past month, his anger at the lack of information, the hurt that they had left behind together, the anger at being followed and not being told—all these feelings of shame that had made him break through the boundaries and finally burst out beyond boundaries.
Hedwig was horrified by the roar, and flew back to the top of the closet, the piglets chirping warning and hovering faster over their heads.
"Who passed the dragon, the Sphinx, and a series of other disgusting tests last year? Who watched Voldemort recover? Who escaped from him? It's me!"
Ron stood still, mouth half-open, visibly startled, unable to speak.
"You have to calm down, Harry, anger doesn't solve anything. Hermione said.
"But why shouldn't I know what's going on? Why does everybody hate to tell me what's going on?"
"Harry, we wanted to tell you, we really wanted to-" Hermione said.
"You don't think so, and Van Lin, you can, or you want to send me an owl, but Dumbledore wants you to swear—"
"Yes, he did—"
"I've been left on Privet Road for four weeks, rummaging through boxes and cabinets to find out what happened—"
"We want to—"
"I guess you're just trying to laugh at me, aren't you, just here you guys come along-"
"No, honestly—"
"Harry, we're really sorry!" Hermione exclaimed desperately, "You're absolutely right, Harry - if it were me, I'd be furious, but you have to calm down, we can go and look for it, although I don't know much about it, but we can face it together, but for now we have to solve the problems that have happened, no one wants you to be attacked, Vanlin and I rushed back in Egypt when we heard about you, we don't want anything to happen to you." ”
Harry stared at Hermione, still breathing heavily, Harry's chest heaving violently, then turned his back to them again, pacing around the room. Hedwig screamed in a loud and gloomy voice on top of the closet.
There was a long pause in the room, the only thing that broke the silence was the grumbling of the floor at Harry's feet.
"What kind of place is this, anyway?" Harry shouted at Ron and Hermione.
"Phoenix Command Command," Ron replied immediately. "Can someone tell me what the Phoenix Instruction ——?"
"It's a secret organization," Hermione said quickly. "Dumbledore is the person in charge here, he initiated the formation. It's recently against the guy you know. ”
"Who's in this organization?" said Harry, putting his hand in his pocket and pausing.
"There are only a handful of people—"
"We've met about a dozen," Ron said, "but I think there should be more." ”
"Van Lin is also a member of the Order of the Phoenix?" asked Harry.
"I also came here to find out that they have a non-disclosure agreement, and even Van Lin can't say anything more to me. Hermione said quickly.
Harry stared at them. "What else?" he asked, seeing from one to the other.
"Hmm," Ron said, "what else?"
"Voldemort!" Harry roared furiously as Ron flinched, "What's going on? what is he doing? where is he, what have we done to stop him?"
"I've already told you that the Phoenix Order won't let us attend the meeting," Hermione said nervously, "so we don't know the details, but we can wait for Van Lin, he said something, and besides, I have some ideas, maybe I can wait for Van Lin to come and help me improve it." She looked at Harry's face and quickly added.
