Chapter Eighty-Three: The Second Head
Dust Star, Taklama Desert.
Several search teams were searching the area of the explosion. They were dressed in anti-epidemic suits with insignia pinned to their sleeves to indicate that they were not from the same country.
It has been a long time since the explosion took place. The area had been searched more than ten times, but they still didn't want to give up.
The fact that such a huge explosion has no residual nuclear radiation is completely beyond the current level of science and technology on Earth. As long as there are a few discoveries, it will bring immeasurable changes to the future development.
This drives almost all countries crazy.
However, several powerful countries jointly blocked the area.
A three-person search team was struggling to crawl towards a sand dune.
"Captain Nathan, do you think our work is meaningful?" Gorge, who was not very emotional, grumbled.
"George, what do you want to say?" Nathan's face was a little unhappy. In fact, he was a little skeptical about whether such a search really made sense, but he would never allow his team members to question him.
"We've searched here more than a dozen times, and I don't think we'll find anything," said George, breathlessly.
In such a hot desert, it is painful to think about it while wearing thick epidemic prevention clothing. What's more, they have been holding on like this for more than half a month.
In the past half a month, they have lost an average of more than 20 pounds. Although a large part of this is due to the fact that the fat man Digra has raised the average.
He lost 50 pounds alone!
"Boss, I can't hold it anymore..."Digger saw George complain as if he had the last straw on his body. He sat on the hot sand, his big mouth panting sharply inside the closed helmet.
Under the influence of the fat man Dig, George felt that he could not hold on. He lay straight down on the sand.
Nathan tried to curse, but he opened his mouth, and finally he didn't scold.
He knew that everyone had done their best.
He wanted to say something to boost his morale, but he didn't know what to say.
When Digg saw George lying down, he instantly felt that he didn't even have the strength to sit. He also fell backwards and tried to lie down.
However, the accident happened.
It's a sand dune, not very steep, but it has a slope after all.
Digger fell, with some problems with the angle, and instead of lying down, he rolled towards the sand dune.
"Dig...", Nathan shouted when he saw this, and he tried to hold him down. But he was clearly not fast enough to hold on.
"Damn—" George apparently noticed that something was wrong, and he hurriedly sat up. But he was farther away from Digg than Nathan, and could only watch as he rolled down and shouted a national curse.
Digger was indeed too tired, otherwise, it would not have been possible to lie down unsteadily. However, people can always burst into potential when they are in danger and panic.
He waved his arms and stuck his palms into the sand to stop the slide.
In his panic, he seemed to have caught something.
With the help of this cushion, he finally stabilized his body and slowly climbed up.
"Damn, this suit is so slippery, I'm going to have to complain about those damn suppliers—" he cursed as he got up.
Nathan and George looked at Digger's eyes widening.
"If it weren't for my wit, I'm afraid I'd have rolled under the dunes by now, those damn vendors—" Digg looked up swearingly, only to see Nathan and George staring at him with round eyes.
"What's wrong?" he didn't react for a moment.
"What's on your hands...?" Nathan's tone was clearly amiss.
It was only then that Digger realized that he was still holding something in his hand.
It's an instinct. When people are prone to slipping, they will always instinctively grab some heavy objects to stabilize their body. So, Digg didn't let go of his grip on the unknown object when he stood up.
He looked down.
"Ahh
"Damn! don't scream!" Nathan struggled to keep his voice down, his face full of urgency. George on the side was full of nervousness.
Digg was stunned for a moment, and then his eyes changed instantly.
"Oh God—" he couldn't help but raise his hands, then turned around.
"George, quick, collector's bottle..."
In fact, there is no need for Digger to say, George has already come over with the collection bottle.
Nathan, who didn't have the vase, was obviously quicker, and by this time, he was already in front of the head.
"God, this is a human head? But how is this possible... Under that huge explosion, it is impossible for a human head to be so intact..."
He carefully picked up the skull and placed it in the collection bottle that George had handed him.
Apparently, he didn't know that Dr. Karl of the Blue Eagle Empire had found a head shortly after that explosion.
There is no doubt that the head is fat.
And what about this head?
"Hurry up, we need to get out of here quickly...", Nathan said impatiently after sealing the head.
"Aren't we going to keep searching, maybe there's more to discover...", Digg seemed a little unsatisfied. He completely forgot that he was still full of negativity.
People need a sense of accomplishment, especially when an epoch-making discovery like this is. In their opinion, this mysterious head may open a new chapter for humanity.
It's exciting.
"Nope. I have a hunch that there is nothing of value left here. For now, our first priority is to bring it back safely...", Nathan said with a serious look on his face. Of course, there was still excitement in his eyes.
"Then I'll call the army over—" George was a little impatient.
"Wait," Nathan interrupted.
George's face was full of doubt, and so was Digger.
"Once we call the military, the rest of the country will definitely be able to deduce what we have made important discoveries, and then the risk will be greatly increased...", Nathan said.
"But how are we going to get it back without the protection of the army?" there are only warplanes here, and once the warplanes return, they will be able to guess the same—" George retorted.
"You have a point," Nathan began to think.
After a few moments, he had an idea.
"Maybe... We can ...... that," Nathan said of his plan.
About ten minutes later, a fierce conflict broke out in the dull and hot desert, and it was said that the people of the Blue Eagle Empire were fighting among themselves.
The incident soon became known to people from several other countries. After all, this desert is only that big, and now that technology is so advanced, it is too difficult to hide something.
Those who didn't have a job to do came to see the excitement.
In this dry and hot desert, it is naturally very rare to witness such a good show.
Far away, you can hear the sound of a quarrel coming from the camp of the Blue Eagle Empire.
"Digger, you're a stupid pig! No, you're not even a pig—" Nathan growled.
"You're not stupid, but your dick isn't!" said Digger. These words are very damaging
Nathan was so angry that he couldn't speak, and it wasn't until tens of seconds later that he regained his strength.
