Chapter 15: Friends
While thinking, Bello limped to his night school. It is said that it is a night school, but in fact, all the students add up to about 30 people. The thirty men were divided into three grades, some older than Bello and some much younger than Bello. These people are generally well-off, but it is also very difficult to bear the cost of studying for one person.
There was not much light in the classroom, and there was a candle lit in front of everyone, and the candlelight of the candle was dangling, and the light in the whole classroom was a little trance-like.
Before Belo could enter the classroom, a teenager about Bello's age noticed Bello's arrival, and he raised his hand and whispered twice, "Bello! Bello! this way!" The shout caught Bello's attention, and he walked over and sat down at the boy's table.
There are a lot of people in the classroom, and no one is noisy or fighting, and there is money to pay for learning, and this money is so much that it hurts them. Those who don't know what they went to school for a long time have long been eliminated.
Bello had not arrived early, the teacher had not yet come to class, and the room was compactly arranged with fifteen desks in front of which there was a lectern and a wooden blackboard. A room full of candles doesn't make the classroom look bright and shadowy.
The evening school is not really a school, this class is a temporary rented house. The teacher Donadik rented two rooms, the larger one was used as a classroom, and the smaller one was his bedroom.
The boy who greeted Bello was called Earhart, and he was Bello's best friend. In this night school, Bello has the best relationship with two people, one is Earhart and the other is a girl named Jasmine Choi.
"It's been a long time since you've been here, the teacher has talked a lot, do you want to read my notes? Are you okay, don't be too sad? Jasmine Cui and I want to go to your house to see you the day after tomorrow. You don't know......" Earhart whispered to Bello about what had happened at night school recently. It's a lot, it's a mess, it's all small things.
"Take it, I've copied the textbook!" the dark-haired girl at the front table turned around and interrupted Earhart. She placed a stack of books, also made of fishskin paper, in front of Bello. The girl's hair was fine and dense, tied in a high ponytail and tied at the back of her head, and the hair had a sheen that flowed like water. She wore a black high-necked tight sweater, embroidered with small white flowers on the left side of the sweater near the shoulder, and a white slim-fitting trench coat on the outside, neat and fashionable. The girl's chin was pointed, and her skin was already white and greasy, almost glittering against the black sweater, like polished ivory. Her eyelashes were thick and long, her eyes were curved and thin, and when she handed the book to Bello, a slight smile narrowed her eyes into a crescent. The girl's nose is tall and a little inconspicuous, which gives her a touch of strange charm.
"No need, Jasmine Cui, I'm here to say hello to the teacher this time, and I'm going to drop out of school!" Belo looked at the girl in front of him and was slightly stunned. Wherever you put it, these are all first-class beauties, how can they be good friends with themselves?
"What? are you going to drop out of school?" Before Cui Jasmine could speak, a classmate next to her who heard the two of them talking exclaimed, "Bello, you can't get a letter of recommendation if you don't graduate!" The letter of recommendation he said refers to the letter written by the teacher Donadik to recommend it to the factory owner or nobleman to prove that the student has completed his studies. Without this letter, people will not recognize you when you go to find a job in the future.
Letters of recommendation? Why does it sound like a college diploma?
Bello smiled, in the past three years, I have worked hard to study and save for tuition, just for this letter of recommendation. Now that he is close to finishing his studies, he has given up and replaced himself with the former Bello, who will never and dare not do so. Now Bello doesn't need such a letter of recommendation.
"What's going on!What's going on!Bello, are you really going to drop out?Is it because the tuition is not enough or what's going on?," Earhart jumped like a rabbit with a burned tail, pulling Bello in a series of questions. Jasmine Trie wasn't as nervous as Earhart, she sat there, casting an inquiring look at Bello.
"On the one hand!" faced his good friend Bello with a reason that he had already thought of, "I have to earn money to pay off my parents' debts now, and I don't have the money to continue attending night school." "No money is the easiest and most common reason to drop out.
Alhart sat down in his seat, looking bitterly at his best friend, the candlelight reflecting on his face, and there was an indescribable sadness. Cui Jasmine didn't say anything, her starry eyes looked at Bello, and said softly: "I have something to say to you after school! ”
"You're almost graduating, can't you hold on for a while?" Elhart suddenly grabbed Bello's hand and asked in a pleading tone.
"What are you crazy about, I'm just dropping out of school, and I'm not going to live or die, as for making such pathos? Why haven't you shown this expression when I haven't been here for the past few days?" Bello shook Earhardt's hand away in disgust. A teenager of this age is really simple and attaches great importance to feelings.
After a few more words, Donadik appeared at the door of the classroom with his textbook in his hand. This is a young teacher in a flat-headed suit with a mustache on his lips.
The usual way of lecturing is: lecture to the first grade, read books by themselves in the second and third grades, give lectures to the second grade, read books by themselves in the first and third grades, give lectures to the third grade, and read books in the first and second grades.
Tonight we're talking about mathematics, which is a tough subject for most people. Even if you come to study every night for three years, you don't have much time, and math is especially difficult for students sitting there. This is the only logically rigorous natural science among the many courses.
Seeing that Mr. Donadik had finished the lesson, Bello walked over.
Donadik saw Bello, he sorted out the books in his hand, and at the same time greeted him and asked, "Here you are, Bello, you have fallen behind a lot of lessons, can you keep up?" Do you need me to explain it to you alone?"
Belo stood in front of Donadik, bowed slightly, and said, "Teacher Donadik, I'm here to apply for withdrawal from school with you. ”
"What's going on?" Donadik had a surprised look on his face, his hands were full of books, "Why did you want to quit school?" he couldn't understand why one of his best students would suddenly ask to quit. According to the process, as long as he studies for less than half a year, he will be able to graduate.
"That's not all, teacher! My parents have died, the family is not in a good situation, I need to support myself!" Bello looked at this night school teacher, from the original memory of this is a very competent teacher, preaching, teaching, solving doubts, three directions, he did his best to teach students.
"You'll graduate in less than half a year! I won't charge tuition for this half a year, can't you persevere?" Donadik wanted to do his best to keep the students he liked. This student is a pretty good seedling, and Donadik even thought about recommending this teenager to the headquarters for further study after three years of study.
Teaching students is like planting crops, good seedlings are liked by a teacher, and it is an unspeakable pity for teachers to suddenly wither a fast-growing and ripening seedling like Bello.
"I'm sorry teacher!" Bello whispered, his voice low but resolute.
"Okay! you go!" Donadik, feeling a little tired in his spirit, pinched his eyebrows and waved his hand to signal Bello to go, the candle on the table swaying as he waved.
Bello packed up his bag and repacked the books he had brought with him. He felt a little stupid, obviously he came to drop out of school, what kind of schoolbag was he carrying?
After finishing the book, I turned around and wanted to leave, but I saw a pretty figure standing next to the desk.
