Chapter 692: Resurrection of Bones
"It's you!" Harry gasped.
As the black-robed man tied him up, Harry hastily recognized the man who had tried to kill Cedric with a spell.
"Barty Crouch II, shouldn't you be dead!" Harry cried out in anger.
But Barty Crouch was busy tying him, and he didn't say a word, busy checking that the rope was tight.
His fingers trembled incessantly, touching some of the knots in the rope.
Van Lin frowned, he hid behind the tombstone, and naturally could see Barty Crouch's performance.
This is no fool like Peter Pettigrew, and Barty Crouch Jr.'s face is full of excitement that his god is coming back.
It wasn't until Barty Crouch was sure that Harry was tied to the tombstone and couldn't move a single step that he took something black from his cloak and shoved it into Harry's mouth.
Then, without saying a word, he turned around and ran away. Harry couldn't scream anything, and he couldn't see where Barty Crouch Jr. was going.
...... He couldn't turn his head to look behind the tombstone, he could only see what was directly in front of him. Cedric had been taken by that vampire, and if nothing else, Cedric ......
In his previous position, the trophies of the Three Witches Fighting Tournament glittered in the starlight.
Harry's wand was on the grass next to his feet.
The pile of clothes that Harry had thought was a baby was nearby, at the foot of the tombstone. The pile seemed to be vibrating with irritation. Harry looked at it, and his wound hurt again...... It dawned on him that he didn't want to see the contents of the pile...... He didn't want to see the bag opened.
He could hear the sound at his feet. He looked down. ...... A giant snake is swimming in the grass. Swam around the tombstone Harry was tied to.
Barty Crouch Jr.'s rapid gasps rang out again. It sounded like he was pushing something heavy across the grass.
In a moment he was in Harry's field of vision.
Harry could now see that he was pushing a large stone pot toward the tombstone, which seemed to be filled with water—Harry could tell from the sound of the splash—and that it was the largest one Harry had ever seen.
It's big enough to fit a grown man. The contents of the colored clothing on the grass stirred even more violently, as if it were about to struggle out, and now Barty Crouch Jr. himself was busy with a wand at the bottom of the big steamer.
Suddenly, flames burst from the bottom of the pot. The serpent slipped away and disappeared into the darkness. The liquid in the big pot seems to heat up easily. Not only bubbles bubbled up on the surface of the liquid, but sparks also entered and exited, as if they were on fire. The action beneath that cloak became more intense.
Then Harry heard the high, cold voice again, "Hurry up!" The entire surface of the pot of water was covered with sparks, and it looked as if it had been studded with diamonds.
"Ready, master. Barty Crouch Jr.'s voice became irrepressibly frenzied.
Helping the Dark Lord resurrect is, without a doubt, a supreme privilege.
"Now on......" the cold voice sounded.
Barty Crouch Jr. walked respectfully over and pulled back the laundry on the grass to reveal what was inside. Harry let out a cry - but the pile in his mouth was choked.
It's as if Barty Crouch Jr. took out a stone and revealed something ugly, vile, stupid, but even worse, a hundred times worse.
It had the form of a human child bent on its knees.
But Harry had never seen anything so childlike - it had no hair and scales. Its back is bare, black-red. Its arms and legs were thin and fragile, and its face—no other than a child's—was flat, snake-headed, and had a pair of flickering red eyes.
The little thing looked so helpless that it lifted its tiny arms around Barty Crouch Jr.'s neck.
Barty Crouch Jr. picked it up.
Just then, its hood fell to the back, and as he walked to the edge of the pan with the little thing in his arms, Harry saw the look of disgust on Barty Crouch's thin pale face by the light of the fire.
After a while, Harry saw the little thing's evil, flat face dancing on the water, and smoke glowing in flickering sparks.
Then Barty Crouch Jr. put the little thing in the pot. There was a hissing sound in the distance, and then the thing disappeared from the water.
Of course, Harry wasn't the only one who was shocked, but so was Van Lin, who was shocked by what Voldemort was like now.
Serpent-like body.
It seems that Voldemort's degree of alchemy for the human body has reached a peak.
Van Lin had met Slytherin's ancestors, but no one had reached such a high assimilation rate as Voldemort, and if he hadn't maintained his human form, Voldemort would have been a python alive.
What if he took Harry away now?
Barty Crouch Jr. buried his master with his own hands, and there is no doubt that the resurrection of the bones has begun, and it has all been quietly unfolding since Voldemort entered the cauldron.
Harry heard the soft sound of its small body hitting the bottom of the pot. "Drown it," Harry said in anticipation, his wound burning and aching, he could barely take it anymore, "Please...... Drown it......"
Barty Crouch Jr.'s mouth was full of words.
His voice trembled. He seemed frightened by the creature beyond his wisdom, or rather, awe.
He raised his wand, closed his eyes, and shouted into the night sky, "Bone of the father, unknoingly given, you ill your son."
Suddenly, the graveyard at Harry's feet cracked.
Horrified, Harry saw a beautiful puff of dust rise into the air under Barty Crouch's spell and fall gently into the pot.
The diamond-like surface of the water cracked. Sizzle. Sparks splash. The surface of the water turned a bright, poisonous deep blue.
Now Barty Crouch Jr. began to whimper under his breath, and from within his garment, he drew a long, narrow, bright silver sword. His voice turned to a stiff sob.
"Flesh of the servant, illingly given, you ill revive your master."
Barty Crouch Jr. holds out his left hand. He gripped the silver sword tightly in his right hand and swung it forward.
Harry realized that Barty Crouch Jr. was about to do less than a second before it happened.
- He closed his eyes stiffly. But he couldn't stop the scream that pierced the night sky.
The scream pierced Harry's eardrums as if he had been pierced by the silver sword.
Then he heard something fall to the ground. Wintel's painful gasps were heard, followed by a disgusting splash.
It was as if something had fallen into the pot. Harry couldn't help but look over...... But the pot of water had turned fiery red. Its dazzling light pierced Harry's eyes......
Barty Crouch Jr. gasped for air and groaned in pain.
It wasn't until Harry felt Crouch's painful breath blow into his face that he realized Crouch was standing right in front of him. "Biood of the enemy, forcibly taken you ill resurrect your fo......e." Conquered by force...... You will ...... Resurrect your opponents...... )”
There's nothing Harry can do about it, he's tied too tightly...... Glancing down, desperately wryling through the rope, he saw the bright dagger dangling in Crouch's hand.
