Section C, Chapter 36: Aiya's Blood (Seresya)
A few drops of blood slowly dripped into the mouth, and the sweet and fragrant taste came instantly. Seeing that the blood had successfully dripped in, the knight let go of his hands and straightened his waist. Sitting on the ground, the mad dog closed its lips sluggishly, carefully savoring the graceful taste in his mouth.
A warm energy quickly spread from his mouth to his body, and the blood had broken down into angelic power, curing the cramping pain in his stomach - he even felt that he had never had a stomach problem.
"It doesn't hurt, does it?" Licking her fingers, Lusha's voice trembled.
"Ah...... Well. Looking at the petite body that was constantly trembling under the cloak, the mad dog was a little dazed: Aya's pain would never be felt by humans.
"Hey, why are you stunned?" Lucina immediately brought his thoughts back to the real world: "I don't know whose mouth was so fierce just now! β
"It's not the blood you gave me, what are you talking about?" Seresa immediately shot back: "It's just the smell of blood...... It's a bit more than I imagined. β
"Wow, isn't it?" Lucina looked at the mad dog in disbelief, "What are you teasing me? Aya's blood, haven't you tasted it?"
"You're kidding me!Why do you think I've tasted it?" Mad Dog looked back at the ghost warhorse in disbelief: "I've smelled a lot of Aya's unique body fragrance...... But I didn't expect blood to taste so similar to it. β
"Aren't all the rich people over there like this?" Lucina asked in surprise, "Aya's meat or something...... I thought you ate it a lot. β
"Come on, you! Lao Tzu doesn't have that appetite. Even the blood was tasted for the first time. "I couldn't bear to eat it, and I ordered it once but I didn't swallow the bloody raw meat.
"Not like yours?" Lucina said.
"It's Lao Tzu's style. Who do you think of me, uncle?" Mad Dog snorted and touched his stomach again: "Although I have long heard of the terrifying healing power of Aya's blood...... But it's working too fast, isn't it? I didn't even react. β
"It's right if I didn't react. Because it's just a stomach ache! Such a trivial matter is really not worth mentioning to Ayasan. Lucina stomped on the ground triumphantly, and the horse's hooves roared crisply on the pale blue snow stone: "But if you don't pay attention in the future, the stomach problem will happen again." β
"That's probably going to make it happen. I'm too lazy to change my habits for this. The mad dog subconsciously stretched his hand to his waist before he realized: the flask had been thrown away by the knight.
Forget it, don't pick it up...... Mad Dog dismissed the idea of picking up the flask, and decided to give the knight a good meal when he returned to the city, and get a sturdy large-capacity waist jug - as for the heat preservation, he didn't really care.
But can there be any wine jug in Neverwinter that doesn't keep warm? Mad Dog felt the angelic power in his body surging constantly, bringing warmth to his whole body. He couldn't even feel the cold wind.
"Alright, get up. The knight, whose expression relaxed, stretched out his hand to the mad dog: "Even if there is a snow stone on the ground that is hot, don't sit for too long?" β
"Knight, I can get up on my own. Instead of taking the hand, the mad dog propped up the warm ground with his palm and slowly got up. In front of her, Lusha was already wearing Snow Eagle gloves and was looking up at herself.
Looking at Aya in front of him, Mad Dog suddenly felt a little embarrassed. Without words of thanks, he just touched the girl's head and stepped back onto his mount.
Lusha, who was touched on the head, looked happy. She shrank slightly, looking down at the ground.
"Hey, would you say thank you?" Lucina flapped her wings, staring at the mad dog.
"Body language. You just don't understand it. The mad dog coughed dryly, and turned his head away from Lusa, who was riding back on top of his sister: "Alright, let's hurryβaccording to the previous map, it will take six or seven hours to get from the main gate to the eastern outpost. What time is it, knight?"
"Eighty-fifty. Anusen looked at his watch and frowned: "Can't you buy a watch to wear yourself?"
Pretending not to hear the latter words, Mad Dog looked at the sun, pulled the reins and walked to the fork in the road on the left: "It's almost dark at four o'clock in the afternoon, we have to hurry - save us before we finish our investigation and return in the evening." β
"If we had to investigate the outpost carefully, we wouldn't be able to catch up anyway. The knight unleashed his horse and followed the mad dog: "If there are no corruptors in the outpost, we will spend the night there." β
"Huh, overnight?" the mad dog looked dissatisfied: "Are you crazy or stupid?"
"The night is dark, and the snow and fog will get heavier. The knight insisted: "Our vision is too poor, and it is very dangerous to walk at night. β
"Isn't it dangerous to stay in the watchtower and wait for the Corruptor to cut off your head?" Mad Dog snorted disdainfully, "What do you two say?"
"Let's see?" Lucina hesitated for a moment before she made a statement, "It's not good to draw conclusions so early. β
Turning his gaze on the silent Lusha, the mad dog who didn't expect her to speak spoke again: "There is another problem with our team, I can see it - the even number of four people can't even vote." β
"Why aren't there patrol cavalry outside the city?" Anusen straightened up and asked suspiciously, "We've been out of the city for a while, so we shouldn't have met each other." With such a large territory and fork in the road, there must be three teams of cavalry patrolling. β
"Because the cavalry who went out of the city to patrol did not come back alive. Lucina reminded the knight, "Neverwinter is now under martial law. No one is allowed to leave the city without a reason. β
"Come on, since it's so weird outside, needless to say, no one wants to go out" Mad Dog looked around and cleared his throat: "Of course, except for our stupid hats." β
"Aren't you afraid of the cold, mad dog?" the knight looked at Celesa strangely, "the cold wind has been pouring into your neck. β
"Huh?" Seresa hurriedly lowered her head and looked at her neck: it was true, she didn't even notice it.
Hurriedly fastening the collar of his trench coat, Mad Dog opened and closed his gloveless left hand: it was soft and warm, not stiff from the cold.
"I don't think I'll feel cold for a while. The mad dog sighed: "These few drops of blood can be used very well...... The whole person is much more energetic. β
"It's a precursor to addiction. Lucina's words were mixed with helplessness: "If you want me to say, you-"
"Wait. Grabbing the reins, Mad Dog raised his hand and motioned for everyone to stop.
"What's wrong?" the knight asked, puzzled.
"I felt like I heard something. Mad Dog pulled out a throwing knife from his right sleeve and aimed around vigilantly.
"The wind is so strong, you must have heard it wrong. Lucina flapped her wings, unconcerned.
Struggling to listen to the unnatural sounds around him, Mad Dog pulled down the hood of his trench coat to block out the wind. Finally, an extremely faint sound of snow treading sounded from the forest. Without the slightest hesitation, he jumped off his horse and threw out the throwing knife in his cuff.
