Doriath Profile

Previous Chapter

The kingdom of Dorias is located in the middle of Beleriand, and occupies a large area of lush and shady forests. The kingdom is mainly inhabited by the Talerian elves who remained in the territory of Beleriander during the Great Migration. They call themselves the Sindar, or "Grey Elves". Their complexion is generally gray or black, and their skin is fair and gray. They couldn't be more apt to describe them as wild.

Their king was Eru Singar. He was one of the leaders of the Elves of Tellery. His wife was a powerful Maia named Merian. She wields magical powers and assists Singar in ruling his kingdom.

The kingdom consists mainly of two forests. They are the Forest of Nildores, which occupies about a quarter of the kingdom, and the Forest of Rigian, which accounts for about three-quarters of the kingdom. The two forests are separated by the Esgarduin River. On the bank in the middle of the river, there is a gate that leads to an underground hall. Under the gate is the residence of Xinge, the Thousand Grotto Palace Mingni Guosi.

Merian uses her magic to create a labyrinth of enchantments at the edge of the two forests, and those who enter without Singar's permission will be lost, whether they are evil enemies or allies who inadvertently break in. Originally, the South Elmos Glades and the Bresil Forest were also claimed by Singar as his territory, but because they were too remote for the Merian Ring to enclose them, Singar didn't really care where they belonged.

Singh once had a distant relative named Eor, an elf who was skilled in casting and smelting metal. However, Eore was unwilling to make Singar king, so he forged a sword for Singar called Garvaugh, which was a pair of Eor's own sword, Angwireel. Eore gave Angrahel to Singar, who sent him and his servants to live in South Elmos. But Singh had always left the sword in his vault, for King Singh had his own sword, Aranruth.

The Brehill Forest was overrun by the humans of the Hareth clan. Unexpectedly, the humans from the other side of the Blue Mountains on the other side of the Blue Mountains Erideruin traveled from the lands south of Dorias to Sibereriander and settled in the Brehill Forest. Singh had no intention of driving them away, and the humans lived here, and the Harets would be a good buffer if the enemy crushed the Noldor defenses in the West Ryan Valley.

Singh and Mirian have an only daughter, Lucien. Lucien was born with a beautiful face. Her beauty is unmatched by any elf, not even the noble-blooded Vanya elves. Lucien's alluring beauty made all the people of Beleriander love her, and a large number of elven nobles in Doriath proposed to her. But Lucien didn't accept either. It is said that she is mischievous and lively by nature, and her playfulness often gives Singh a headache, but Singer still dotes on him. As such, Lucien did not like to be bound by a marriage to any of the nobles in the kingdom. She has some magical powers inherited from her mother.

Dai Long is Singar's minister and a scholar. But he is best known for his poetic talent. The world called him "Bard" Dellon. He has a crush on Lucien, with whom he is also very close and close friends. They sometimes sneak out of Minni Kingdom and wander and play in the woods. Dyron would play his flute, and Lucien would sing along to the music or dance in front of heron. They have spent hundreds of years since the First Age, and years beyond.

Another of Singar's advisors is Syros, who is actually a Nando Elf, aka Lykundi, the "Green Elf". He has little to contribute, but he is good at jealousy. Many people in the kingdom don't like him.

In Singar's army, there were two famous generals. One of them was "Heavy Hand" Mabulon. He was a formidable warrior with unrivalled strength and courage. He had fought in the starry era, but now served primarily as Doriath's border guard.

Another general was Bereger. His nickname was "Strongbow". He is a skilled archer, armed with a large bow made of purple fir wood, Bell Slonding, and an arrow that is his characteristic, Daryer. Once a man of great success, he now guards the borders of Doriath like Mabulon.

Celeborn is a close relative of Singar, and Finafin's youngest daughter, Galadriel, falls in love with Celeborn when she visits Minni Nations. She then settled in the forest and married Kellerborn. The daughter of Kellerborn's brother Galahir is Nimloth, a young and beautiful elven girl.

That's it for Doriath.
