Chapter XXIV
Branslin is located in the southern part of the Norman Confederate Empire, in the Lensnaya region, close to the Kulink Sea, and has a number of rivers, most notably the Esslan River, which made the city one of the largest cities in the Norman Confederate just fifty years after the Holy War.
Today, Branslin surpasses any other Norman city in terms of commerce. Ten years ago, the Norman Parliament nominated Branslin to be the second capital of the Norman Confederates, but was rejected by only one vote.
The main reasons for opposition are two points: first, there is no precedent for the second capital in the past, and if there is a second capital, then the third capital and the fourth capital will definitely emerge in the future.
Second, if there is no second capital, if the capital is moved directly from Winterlundier to Branslin, then the cost of manpower and material resources will be sky-high. Moreover, Branslin's geographical location meant it to be a hub for commercial traffic, and it was also destined to be an empty city that the enemy would attack and destroy in wartime.
Just the long and winding coastline, where God knows how many troops must be deployed to prevent the enemy from advancing from the sea.
But in any case, Branslin has become far more commercially developed than any other Norman city, and ranks second in the world.
And the number one is Flordus.
Although almost ninety-nine percent of the population would not believe that this city full of beggars and robbers could be the number one in the world in terms of commerce, it is undeniable that the amount of arms, drugs, people and any other mess smuggled from Florders every year is astronomical.
Undoubtedly.
After stepping out of the rail car station, Anna looked at the tall buildings around her for a moment, which was not comparable to Frankser at all.
There were mostly gentlemen in hats and ladies in silk on the road, a little girl pulled a big golden dog and walked in front of them with a smile, while on the other side, a middle-aged man with a big belly and a young lady in his arms walked into a high-end jewelry store.
Looking south from the train station, you can see the dense crowd of merchant ships moored on the sea, and the wide streets are full of cars and horse-drawn carriages.
Hell, it's not because there are too many pedestrians, it's just that the pavement has been rotten for years and has not been repaired.
In Ron's opinion, the city of Branslin has indeed reached the top level of the world, and if it is to reach the level of the city of the previous life, then it is not possible to achieve it with today's industry.
At the very least, replace the dark gray walls of that towering beauty tower with gleaming glass, wouldn't you?
Anna raised her eyes, then she turned to look at Ron dissatisfied, "You always don't listen to me!
Ron was dumbfounded, he looked around, his eyes blank, "What's wrong?" Anna?"
"I told you a long time ago that tidying up is not a bad thing, but look at you, you are sloppy and your hair is messy, what do you look like?"
Disaster fell, Ron smiled bitterly.
"Are you going to report to your place of work first?" Anna's tone still seemed a little unkind.
Ron thought for a moment, "Let's rent a house first, we can't sleep on the street, and we have to find a place to put our luggage." β
Anna thought for a moment, "Have you ever asked Mr. Muse where there is a better house?"
Ron hadn't really thought about that.
Looking at Ron's expression, Anna snorted lightly, "You always learn not to prepare in advance, let's go, I read the job posting in the newspaper in advance, it's near Victoria University, we can go there to find a hotel to spend the night in, and then we can find a house with a cheap rent together." By the way, I think you seem to be working in that location?"
"Yes, I work in the same district as the University of Victoria. β
"Okay, let's go. β
Ron lifted his suitcase and took two steps forward to find Anna still standing. He couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?" Anna, why don't you follow?"
Anna turned slightly towards Ron and asked, "Is there any wrinkles in my dress, is my hair messy?does the shoes match my hair color?Should I show the pearl necklace?"
"Everything was perfect, Anna, nothing was wrong. β
Anna tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear, and then she raised her head and smiled at the sun, "Let's go." β

After an hour-long walk, the two finally discovered that Branslin really couldn't compare with Frankser. It took at least an hour to get from the north to the south of Franxer, and for Branslin, it was only a short walk.
In desperation, the two had to take a taxi.
The taxi here is not comparable to a car, it is nothing more than a shrunken and roofless iron-hulled car, but the rickshaw has been scrapped and the source of power has been replaced with a completely exposed steam stove, which the people here call a steaming scooter.
In fact, such a car could not enter the royal area of Ersfil, the heart of Branslin, where almost a third of the pedestrians on the road were aristocrats, and they could not smell the black smoke pouring out of the steam stove.
What is even more surprising is that the driver of the scooter stopped after pulling the two of them around a corner, and then brazenly charged twenty copper plates, and said that this was his starting price.
"This is the consequence of knowing nothing!"
Anna looked very annoyed, knowing that she should have asked for directions, so as not to be cheated by the black-hearted driver of a sum of money from herself.
Ron didn't know how to comfort Anna, after all, it was a tuition fee that had to be paid.
The place was not far from Ersfield, and at a glance you could see the elaborate bronze gate that crossed a street into Ersfil's Queens.
The University of Victoria and the Holy Alliance's embassy, where Ron worked, was located in the Ersfil area.
This is good news, because if the two of them work not far from each other, then they avoid the embarrassment of renting a house that is too far away from at least one of them's place of work.
Ron and Anna had planned to rent a house outside of Queen Ersfield's area, but when they inquired, they were shocked by the rent.
Ten silver bills a month, that is, ten silver nests, is already the cost of ordinary people in Frankser for nearly half a year.
If it's already so expensive on the outside, how sensational is the price of renting a house in Ersfield?
In desperation, the two had to find a small hotel to live in first, and then make plans.
It was almost seven o'clock now, and they hadn't had lunch yet.
Ron suggested going out for a meal, but Anna immediately rejected it. Because they had brought bread with them when they came, there was no need to add any extra costs, at least until the two of them were paid.
You know, the accommodation fee of this hotel and the fare of being cheated by the black-hearted scooter driver have already made Anna very dissatisfied.
Early in the morning of the second day, the two of them went out after eating a little casually, and they urgently needed to settle themselves.
"Listen, Ron. The first thing you do when you meet Mr. Muse is to ask him where you can find a cheap and convenient place to live, you know?"
Ron nodded, "Of course." β
Anna suddenly stopped and turned to look at him, and she said seriously, "You don't really plan to do this, do you?" I just say this to remind you not to forget, after all, that damn inn costs a lot of money. You should at least say hello to Mr. Muse and say good morning. β
"Of course. β
Anna covered her forehead, "Forget it, whatever you want, as long as you don't forget." Also, tidy up your hair, you'll always be a mess. β
The two had to go their separate ways after the alley ahead, with Victoria University at Queen's Road East in Ersfield and Ron's destination at Queen's Road West.
This actually made Ron relax a lot, and he was worried that if he worked not far from Anna, Anna would soon find herself working for the Holy Alliance, and even find that her job was very dangerous.
And Anna has always thought of herself as a sliver until now.
After saying goodbye to Anna, Ron quickened his pace, and the Ersfield Royal District was not a small location, it was at least the size of the whole of Frankser.
If he had walked faster, he might have been able to catch Mr. Muse's breakfast.
At a trot, Ron soon reached the Holy Alliance embassy in Branslin, where he looked up at the not-so-tall but imposing domed fortress.
He took a breath, and was about to step forward to say hello to the two big men who were wearing black coats and black sunglasses standing at the door, and explained their intentions when suddenly a hello came from behind him.
"Helloβ"
A languid tone.
Ron turned his head and saw a young man with messy black hair standing in front of him.
The young man had his hands in his pockets, his coat open, and a black blindfold in his left eye. He glanced Ron up and down, smiling lazily at the corners of his mouth.
"Hello. Ron replied.
The young man followed Ron's end and said, "Don't expect me to say something like 'What can I do to help you?'
"I'm here for Mr. Muse. β
"Is that you?" the young man looked Ron up and down again, "I heard the Muse say that he valued a unique young man, but he didn't expect to be bumped into by me, which annoyed me a little, because then I had to work part-time as a guide." Come on, I'm only responsible for bringing you to the muse to sober up. What's your name?"
"Ron," Ron replied, "August Ron." β
"Rare surname. β
"May I ask your name?"
"Cain. The young man replied.
