Chapter 163: Xin Mi (I)

Fate is an unpredictable thing.

For those born into this world, the impermanence of fate is something that makes them desperate most of the time.

When the monk was still very young, he often asked the question, who is in charge of fate?

He is very young, so he will have a lot of his own thoughts about many things in the world, he has read the history books, and has seen the troubled times two hundred years ago, although the Great Chu Dynasty at that time relied on the dragon and snake twin method to successfully continue his life, but that troubled times still made the creatures in the world suffer a lot of hardship.

Although the monk was young, his outstanding talent quickly made him stand out in the Longyin Temple, and he was valued by the elders in the temple, so he could see more and more classics and records, and the content was also more and more elaborate.

Gradually, he discovered that whether it was the Great Chu Dynasty two hundred years ago, or the older Great Departure Dynasty, or the more unknown dynasty, the turmoil in the world and the change of dynasties seemed to have their roots in the ever-changing sect - always closely related to the gathering and dispersion of luck.

This doesn't seem to be wrong, after all, those in power lose their morality, and the dragon qi seeks the virtuous people to gather, and so on, so that the good and evil in the world can be rewarded, and only then can the people be saved from fire and water. The monk escaped into the empty door since he was a child, practicing Buddhism, although he has the grand desire to universalize all sentient beings, but he is not pedantic, he knows that although the decline of a decadent dynasty will inevitably bring great suffering to the living beings, but after the pain, it can usher in a new life that breaks and then stands.

Just like the withering of plants and trees, the alternation of the four seasons, everything is a necessary process of reincarnation of the Heavenly Dao.

But...

The monk is not a pedantic person, but he is also not the same as those ancestors of Longyin Temple, just sitting in the temple and reciting the Buddha's name, sighing that all living beings are suffering, and then there is no follow-up to the generation of people who watch on the wall.

Immersed in Buddhism since he was a child, he wanted to do something for the common people, so after he took over the position of presiding over Longyin Temple, the youngest holy monk in history went to Chang'an alone, and he wanted to teach the emperor the Dharma.

It's a very simple logic.

Since the emperor is immoral, there is luck to gather and disperse, and with luck to gather and disperse, there is a combination of heroes and strengths, and there is a chaotic world in the world.

As long as the emperor has always had a high enough virtue, the dragon energy will always gather in the emperor's house, and the strong will not rise together, and the world will naturally continue to prosper.

This idea is somewhat utopian, and the monk certainly understands this, and he does not expect to protect the world all the time and let it develop the way he intended, but while he is alive, he will do what he can.

......

At that time, the emperor of the Chu Dynasty was called Fang Chengtian, and the year name was Wanzhen.

The news that the holy monk of Longyin Temple was coming to Chang'an City soon spread among the people, and for this young holy monk who had always had the reputation of the Buddha in the world, the ordinary people probably held both awe and curiosity.

And when the young monk really arrived in Chang'an City, Emperor Wanzhen, who was over fifty years old, came to the city gate in person and held a very grand ceremony to welcome each other.

This made the monk very pleasantly surprised - of course, as a veritable holy monk in terms of both his heart and his cultivation, in the eyes of the monk, whether it was the emperor or the people, there was not much difference, and the grand ceremony to the extreme was even more irrelevant in his heart.

The reason for his surprise was because of the recognition and courtesy of Emperor Wanzhen for Buddhism at that time, if what he showed at the moment was not a play, then the purpose of the monk's trip would be much easier than imagined.

Of course, it has to be mentioned that it was also during the normal grand welcome ceremony that the monk met a girl, her name was Fang Tianqing, and she was the youngest and most beloved daughter of Emperor Wanzhen.

Emperor Wanzhen is not a person who is false and wronged, after the monk is connected to Chang'an City, he also strongly supports the monk's teaching activities in Chang'an City, and he often invites the monk to the palace to explain Buddhism to the prince and princess in the palace, and he himself also often observes.

Such days pass quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it is five spring and autumn.

In this process, the monk also became familiar with the princes and princesses in the palace, especially Fang Ming, who was made the crown prince, and the princess Fang Tianqing.

In five years, he taught his own perception of Buddhism, and the princes and princesses learned very quickly, especially the prince Fang Ming, who was kind-hearted, and the monk thought that if the prince ascended the throne in the future, the world would be a prosperous world.

The monk felt extremely pleased with what he had done, but there was no feast in the world, and after five years, he still needed to return to the northernmost Longyin Temple to preside over the overall situation.

In those years, the year of Dachu was not good, and there were droughts, floods and snowstorms everywhere from time to time, but the imperial court was still barely operating under the orderly dispatch of Emperor Wanzhen, and although the people everywhere lived a little harder, they were not starved to death on the roadside.

Emperor Wanzhen was very busy, in just a few years, the once heroic middle-aged man was full of silver hair under the gaze of the monk, but Rao was so, the night before the monk left, Emperor Wanzhen still took time to give the monk a farewell vegetarian banquet.

Parting in this world is always the most heart-wrenching thing.

Although the guests and hosts were happy that night, and there were more parting blessings, when the monk walked out of the palace gate, the rapid sound of horses' hooves behind the palace gate still made the monk's heart ripple like stopping water.

Her Royal Highness the princess cried pear blossoms with rain, carefully pulled the corner of the monk's clothes, and asked, "Brother Dongjun, can you not leave?"

The monk's heart had a hint of hesitation at that moment, which was an extremely unreasonable thing for the presiding officer of Longyin Temple, who was known for his cultivation of his mind. The monk suppressed the hesitation in his heart, and refused the retention of the woman in front of him in the gentlest tone possible, and when he said goodbye to the woman and returned to his residence, what he didn't expect was that the Emperor of Wanzhen had already stayed in his home, waiting for his arrival.

Of course, this is a very strange thing, after all, at the banquet an hour ago, the monk had just said goodbye to the emperor, but the monk also did not ask more, but after being slightly surprised, he respectfully poured tea for the emperor, who looked far older than the actual age, and sat down in front of the desk.

So, a conversation that changed the monk and the world happened.

......

"Holy monk, have you seen it?" asked the emperor after squinting his eyes at the monk, picking up the tea that the monk had made for him.

The night was dark, and there were no candles lit in the room, and in the darkness, the monk raised his eyes and glanced at the emperor, then lowered his head again, and responded truthfully: "I have seen it." ”

"I'm going to hand it over to the holy monk, is the holy monk willing?" and just then, the emperor said something that the monk had never thought of.

The monk, who was holding a teacup and wanted to take a sip of the tea in the cup, trembled slightly, and the tea spilled, soaking his sleeve.

"Your Majesty, what do you mean by this?" but soon, the monk still suppressed some emotions that had arisen in his heart, and bowed his head at that time.

The white-haired emperor stood up at that time, he didn't seem to notice the monk's abnormality, and seemed to be deliberately turning a blind eye: "What does the holy monk think about this great Chu world?

The monk really came back to his senses from the "nonsense" of His Majesty the Emperor before, he sank his brows, and said: "Although today's Great Chu is not considered to be the peace of the country and the people, many of these disasters are natural disasters rather than man-made disasters. As for Her Royal Highness the Princess..."

The monk who said this obviously paused, but soon he said: "Her Royal Highness the princess has a kind heart, occupies a high position and understands the hearts of the people, and knows hunger and cold, which is really rare, plus he is talented and intelligent, and his future achievements are immeasurable." ”

As the monk said this, he could clearly feel that the man sitting across from him was staring at him with a calm gaze, as if trying to gauge whether everything he said was sincere.

"Since you think it's so good to dump Qing, why shouldn't you ask for it?"

The monk bowed his head again, and the aggressive tone and momentum of the emperor opposite finally made the fashionable monk who was not yet thirty years old a little overwhelmed.

"Your Majesty said that it was funny, the poor monk has already converted to Buddhism, and the princess is a daughter, won't the phoenix crow's nest make people laugh and be generous?"

After the monk said this, he felt that the churn in his heart that had just been suppressed by him made waves again, and in the tone of his voice, he could clearly feel a strange trill.

The emperor sitting next to him did not show half of his dissatisfaction or annoyance when he heard this, but raised his eyebrows and leaned his head forward with interest, and then the corner of the emperor's mouth hooked up a smile and said: "What is the holy monk thinking, I just said that I will hand over my daughter to the care of the holy monk and practice Buddhism." ”

The monk's body shook, he raised his head to look at the emperor, and at first glance met the other party's playful gaze. In other words, others may be angry at this time, but the monk is not, he knows that everything has a heart, and it is his heart that is disturbed, so God will be confused, so he will be in the way of the man in front of him.

The monk who understood this truth quickly recovered, his face was calm, and at that time he finally had the courage to look at the emperor, he said: "It is a poor monk, but after all, Her Royal Highness the princess is a daughter, my Longyin Temple is located in the middle of nowhere, and it is a place of penance, the princess will not like it if she goes, and please take back your majesty." ”

The emperor, who had been staring at the monk, withdrew his gaze at that time, he turned his head to look out of the window shrouded in night, and suddenly sighed: "The holy monk has misunderstood, I am begging you, not ordering you." ”

This greatly surprised the monk's expectations, he not only frowned, but also said in confusion: "Why did Your Majesty say this?"

The gaze in the emperor's eyes suddenly dimmed a little at that moment, and his face, which was no longer young, also aged a lot at that moment. He bowed his head and said: "The holy monk said that my Da Chu suffered from natural disasters rather than man-made disasters, and when the natural disasters are finally over, my Da Chu will finally usher in a prosperous day, the holy monk said very well and very reasonably, but unfortunately, the holy monk said wrong." ”

"Since my father's father, Da Chu's luck has weakened day by day, and my father has tried his best to change this situation, but the speed at which the dragon's qi dissipates has never changed. And when I ascended the throne and succeeded to the throne, I was even more cautious and diligent every day, but no matter what I did, natural disasters still continued, and the luck of this great Chu was still worse day by day. ”

"The holy monk once acted, the Son of Heaven lost his morality, so his luck was scattered, so the virtuous person was born and regained control of the world, but in fact, there is a fixed number in the underworld, and the sky is going to die. ”

The young monk heard such a statement for the first time in his life, and he didn't doubt it too much, because he knew that the man in front of him must be the person in this world who most hoped that Da Chu could last forever, and he had no reason to lie to him. But he still retains his doubts about his words. However, he couldn't say what kind of considerations he had, but he finally complied with the request of the emperor in front of him - as a father.

......

The monk returned to Longyin Temple with a lot of thoughts, but the girl who accompanied him was full of shyness and expectation.

In the days of Longyin Temple, the girl always approached the monk under the guise of one kind or another, and although the monk tried his best to keep a distance from him, the girl still bothered her every day as if she didn't notice the monk's refusal at all.

After a long time, the monk also got used to the girl's approach.

It was a few spring and autumn seasons, just when the monk and the girl thought that such days would go on forever, the news of the death of Emperor Wanzhen was suddenly sent to Longyin Temple by the envoys, and the girl cried again that day, she could only say goodbye to the monk in a hurry, stepped into the carriage to pick her up, and rushed back to Chang'an.

On the second day, without the disturbance of the girl, the monk could not meditate as he had done in the past, and he always felt that something was missing.

So he climbed to the top of Longyin Mountain and looked south.

He saw a dying old dragon writhing and wailing in the clouds, and countless dragon qi quickly dispersed from its body, surging to all parts of the heavens and the earth.

That is the national fortune of Da Chu, the national fortune of dying.

This is a very unreasonable thing, although Emperor Wanzhen is diligent in government, but after all, he has a little less aura, and he has more than enough to keep it, but Kaiyuan has less ability. But Fang Ming, who succeeded to the throne, was different, that child, the monk had seen and taught...

He should be able to inherit this Great Chu world, and also have the ability to lead the Great Chu world to prosperity...

Then why does the dragon phase on the heavenly dome still keep dispersing?

The monk thought about what Emperor Wanzhen had said to him that day, his brows furrowed deeper and deeper, and a thought also appeared in his heart at that time.
