Section C, Chapter 39: Oracle Spell (Anusen)
"This thing ......" the knight crouched down as he stared at the black, obelisk-like metal object.
Stretching out his left hand and touching it gently, the cold touch immediately spread from his fingertips to the entire arm. Sweeping away the snow from the ground around it with the palm of his hand, more black metal was revealed.
"There should be a round platform down here. Looking at the edge of the arc, Anusen raised his head in surprise and looked at the three of them: "What the barrier wants to hide must be this." β
"If Lao Tzu hadn't tripped over this thing, he wouldn't have found it. Ceresya snorted, still patting the snow on her body: "I'll just say, there can't be nothing in this enchantment." β
"Hey, that's not what you just said. I don't know who is in a hurry to come?" seized the opportunity, Lucina immediately began to dismantle the Mad Dog's platform: "Get out of the way, I'll take a look." β
Pushing away the mad dog that blocked her view, Lucina looked thoughtfully at the miniature obelisk. Seresa snorted and stood next to Lusha dissatisfied, "Cut! I'm not as knowledgeable as you. β
"If you can be good-tempered, wouldn't my breasts be big?" Lucina gave him a blank look, crouching down to observe the metal object intently. After a few moments, she stood up again, staring at the snow around her in disbelief.
"What did you find?" Anusen asked expectantly, seeing that Aya seemed to have made a discovery.
"No...... It's not certain yet. Lucina said hesitantly.
"Don't give me less" can't be sure "Which one!" are all the mages grinding like this?" Cereya stepped on her left foot impatiently: "If you're not sure, don't you say it at all?"
"It's because I'm going to make sure that I'm not saying it well!" Lucina was also angry: "I'm not Denor!"
Has Deenor become synonymous with abrasion...... Anusen suddenly felt some sympathy for the little guardβhe was fine with him. But when it came time to use his brain, his problem of grinding his speech came out.
"Stand back, I'm going to cast a spell. Lucina glanced at the mad dog and cried out angrily, "I mean you! β
"Yo, you hurt me by mistake? The mad dog smacked in his mouth and straightened his waist: "Lao Tzu is still standing still, what's wrong with you?"
"You don't make trouble for others!" the knight couldn't stand it anymore, and took the mad dog away.
"Hey, knight, is there any mistake?!!Why do you keep looking at her?" the mad dog pointed at the triumphant Lucina.
"I only look to the right side, not to the right person. Anusen straightened his face: "Besides, you provoked most of the disputes. It's just a crime. β
"Huh, your code of conduct is the justice of the Templar stream?" Mad Dog pouted, "I think it's all just for the girl......, right?"
"Shut up, when did I turn to my sister?" Anusen glared at him impatiently, "Also, when did you become my good buddy?"
"Damaged, mad dog?" Lucina teased Cereya with a hippie smile. The latter sighed sadly: "Forget it, sure enough, in front of Aya, the Templar Knights can't resist the temptation...... How long do you want to grind?"
"Right now, right away. Lucina patted the snow on her stockings and turned back. She stretched out her glowing hands and stood silently.
"I've always thought these mages were stupid in their casting moves. It's full of flaws, and it leaks when you poke it. The mad dog looked at Aya disdainfully, lowered his voice and boasted to the knight, "I've killed several mages with throwing knives and made them useless - it all depends on the time it takes to cast the spell before it strikes. β
"That's probably because you've met people who aren't skilled. Anusen also glanced at Aya in the spell casting: "A powerful mage can cast several quick spells in a single battle. Even spells that require time to be channeled and cannot be instantaneously activated will use means such as invisibility and mana shields to protect themselves from attacks. β
"You know a lot, knight?" said Seresia, coughing dryly, staring with interest at the amulet around Anusen's neck, "Hmm...... If memory serves, the Templars are more or less trained to combat mages?"
"That's right. The knight nodded, and after a moment of reminiscence, said, "In the early days of the Eurasian Dynasty, Calvo, the founder of the original Templar Knights of the Celestial Wing Cult, believed that the Church should train unique classes of troops to fight against the powerful spells of the sorcerers. In this way, the armed forces of the Church will be invincible in the holy war. Later, drawing on the training experience of the lawbreakers, the Church trained batch after batch of powerful Templars. β
"In other words, the Templars were used against mages in the first place?" Mad Dog narrowed his eyes, "I can't see it at all...... Knight, you actually have a hand at dealing with mages. β
"Not really. It's just that I'm very resistant to spells. Anusen shook his head, "Many of the Templars' Sacred Seal spells and spell-breaking spells have been lost or sealed by the Holy See. A large part of them are forbidden powers. β
"Yo, the power of the forbidden? It seems that from Mr. Knight's mouth, you can always hear something new. Mad Dog became interested: "I thought there were no forbidden spells for your sacred spells...... What is the reason for the magic that has been sealed by the church?"
"Probably because most of them are forbidden spells that require the user to pay a price. Or, some oracle spells that only those who have been blessed by the power of angels are qualified to study. Releasing them requires great devout faith and great spiritual power. Naturally, amulets are also a must. β
As soon as these things were mentioned, Anusen, who immediately became more talkative, patted the shoulder covered with snow, and after thinking for a moment, he continued to add: "Of course, the costs mentioned earlier are also varied and severe. β
"Let's talk about the oracle spell first. I remember you were once a High Templar Knight...... Wouldn't it be a few tricks?" noticing that Lusa beside her listened intently, and the mad dog stroked her head. The latter shook his body slightly, then lowered his head.
"I ...... Once they were released, they should be able to be done now. Anusen clenched his talisman uncertainly: "As long as my faith remains religious, I will naturally be blessed by the guardian angels." β
"Really, fake? Not sure if he was really interested, Mad Dog squinted at the knight.
"As a last resort, you can't abuse oracle spells to disturb the angels. The knight refused without hesitation, and looked at the mad dog firmly: "It's the same as many times you want me to say it." Even after leaving the Holy See, my faith will never waver. β
"Well, I know you're a firm believer, and you're a principled man. Mad Dog sighed and asked again, "You can always tell me what oracle spells you know and what they will do, right?" β
"I learned a total of five things. Anusen pondered for a moment and said, "Summoning your own heavenly weapon, the sanctification that can envelop yourself in pure white holy light and spread the wings of light, the sacred barrier that can fully defend against all attacks in a large area, and the heavenly judgment that can plunge the enemy into a spiritual struggle." And...... and ......"
"And what? It's only four. Mad Dog listened with relish.
Anusen only felt a roar in his head, and a huge figure rushing out of the blood mist suddenly appeared in his mind: "It seems to be ...... A spell that purifies blood beasts. But I don't remember exactly. β
