Pandora of Greek mythology
The Titanian god Prometheus stole fire from the sky and gave it to mankind, and humans learned to use fire, and the main god Zeus was very annoyed, and in order to counteract the great benefits of fire to mankind, Zeus decided to let disaster also befall the world. Zeus first commanded Hephaestus, the god of fire and craftsmen, to make a lovely woman in the image of the goddess by mixing water and soil synthesis, and then ordered Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, to drench men with hormones that drove men mad, and Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war. She was taught to weave cloth and make beautiful garments of all colors and the wisdom of Lingjo to make women look more vivid and charming, and Hermes was instructed to teach her the gift of language. After the gods bestowed upon her all her talents, a complete woman was finally completed. The gods dressed her in a hat, and wore a hat on her head, and a necklace with beads, and she was as beautiful as a bride. Hameis came up with the idea and said, "Call this woman Pandora, a gift from the gods to mankind." The gods agreed with his advice. In ancient Greek, Pan meant everything, and Dora meant gifts. "Pandora" means "the one who is granted all the merits".
Zeus then ordered Hermes to bring her to Prometheus' younger brother Epmetheus to become his wife. Epimetheus was completely different from Prometheus, stupid by nature, and Prometheus advised him: "If Zeus gives you anything, it must not be accepted." But Epimetheus, who was originally stupid, and the temptation of Pandora, immediately became fascinated by beauty, forgot about Prometheus's explanation, and happily accepted Zeus's gift.
It is said that Prometheus once warned his brother not to accept any gift from Zeus on Mount Olympus, but to return it immediately. Epimetheus, however, forgot this warning and gladly accepted the young and beautiful woman. It wasn't until later, when he suffered, that he realized that he had brought calamity. Until then, mankind had followed Prometheus' warnings, so there were no calamities, no hard labor, and no afflicting diseases. Now, the girl holds the gift in both hands, a large, closed box. As soon as she walked in front of Epimetheus, she suddenly opened the lid of the box, and the plague inside flew out like a puff of black smoke and quickly spread to the ground. There was only one beautiful thing hidden at the bottom of the box: hope, but Pandora, following the Father of the Gods, quickly closed the lid before it could fly out, so that hope was locked in the box forever. Since then, all kinds of disasters have filled the earth, the sky, and the sea. Diseases spread day and night among humans, raging and silent, because Zeus did not let them make a sound. All kinds of fevers are rampant on the earth, and death is running wild in the world.
One said that Pandora then lived with Epimetheus. Soon after, Prometheus brought Epimetheus a large chest and told him not to open it, but Pandora, a very curious woman, thought, "Why is an ordinary chest so hidden, and why is it so covered?" It turned out not to be what Pandora was expecting, but to a myriad of scourges and pests. Before Pandora opened the box, there were no disasters and life was peaceful, and that was because all the viruses and diseases were locked in the box, so that humans could not be tortured. Because of Pandora's curiosity and ignorance, the plagues escaped happily, and since then, they have harmed humanity day and night, everywhere, causing mankind to suffer.
In a panic, Pandora covers the large box in time, only to be left with only hope inside. Therefore, even if human beings are constantly suffering and being tormented by life, they always have precious hope in their hearts in order to motivate themselves. Before death, hope is always there, and life is definitely full of good hope.
There is also a theory that Zeus gave Pandora a sealed box full of scourges, calamities, and pestilences, etc., for her to give to the man who married her. Prometheus was convinced that Zeus had bad intentions towards mankind and warned his brother Epimetheus not to accept gifts from Zeus. But he did not listen to the advice and married the beautiful Pandora. Driven by curiosity, Pandora opened the box, and at once all the calamities, pestilences, and scourges inside flew out. Mankind has since been afflicted with calamities, pestilences, and scourges. And before the beautiful thing "Hope", which Athena, the goddess of wisdom, quietly placed at the bottom of the box in order to save the fate of mankind, flew out of the box, the treacherous Pandora closed the box.
Later, the "Pandora's box" is used as a metaphor for the gift of misfortune and the abyss of disaster.
We often compare "Pandora" to a disaster, and the Pandora we know today is always the woman who opened the "box" that contains all the evils, and the meaning of "Pandora" is the great disaster that a woman's reckless impulse and curiosity will inevitably bring
Human suffering, understand the psychological factors that make women suffer disasters......
There is a psychologist who said that everyone has a garden of their own in their hearts, this garden begins to sow seeds after people are born, the seeds germinate and grow green leaves, a vibrant landscape, there are no annoying dead leaves and dead branches, and then they bloom and grow, this is people's adolescence, some flowers are good-looking, people keep them, some flowers are not good-looking, people will cut them, at that time, people are diligent in repairing their gardens, so they have always maintained a beautiful landscape.
As people grow older, people pay more attention to the outside world, and some people ignore the maintenance of their gardens, and slowly, the garden has more fallen leaves and dead branches, and even exudes the smell of decay, which slowly affects the feelings of others, and finally there is a scene of decay and decline, and people begin to stay away from him.
