Chapter 155: Frontal Attack

His strange method of aiming is a special technique used by Sapu Zhuang to warn the power plant as little as possible. He remembered that Lord Zach seemed to know that the bullet was coming before it exploded, and he wanted to avoid it. Vitality doesn't know if his strategy will work, but it's better than doing nothing.

However, the bullet did not hit the man, as the high priest roared, and a golden flame burst out from him, instantly covering almost half of the camp. The bullets were burned into a blank space, and all the poison in the area was burned to ashes.

Hundreds of dead or dying people lay on the ground, but a large group of people remained ready for battle, although none of them appeared unscathed.

"Faith!" the man roared as he pointed to the west, letting Sapp know that it was the High Priest who had given the first warning.

Many priests and monks immediately turned in that direction, and suddenly, the sky seemed to punish the entire area west of the camp. Blazing golden beams slammed into the ground from the air, creating a sea of fire that covered hundreds of meters.

Guessing that the two remaining demons were in that place, Sapp immediately reloaded his gun and fired two bullets at the High Priest in succession.

The demon shoots at the same target, as Janos may also have realized that the scepter-wielding High Priest was the biggest threat to their operations and Port Atwood.

Unfortunately, bullets don't work better for magicians either, as each shot breaks down before it hits a person. Waves of boiling heat continued to float out of the priest's body, making Sapp wonder how much cosmic energy this man had. Interestingly, the fire does not seem to torment the priests, but rather makes them stronger.

Before Sapp could think about it, the high priest's head jerked in his direction, and the priest felt as if he were looking back at him through a telescope. Huge fear overwhelmed Sapp's heart, and it felt like reality had gone into slow motion.

"The illusion was shattered, he knew," Janos said, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

In desperation, Sapp fired another shot at the man, but to no avail, and the high priest raised his mace and walked towards him, as if to sentence him to death.

A great flame shone from the sky on the sap, and when he looked up, he saw the boundless fire descending on him. It felt like the fire was not only going to burn his body, but even his soul. The sap was completely frozen, and I didn't know what else to do but pray to the Buddha.

However, the shadows suddenly gathered on him, and the fire was blocked right above his head, while the forest around their bushes turned into cinders.

Out of the darkness, the ogre and a terrible monster three meters tall came out. The monster is overgrown with thorns and vines, and colorful gases waft out of it, making it look like something out of a horror story.

Before he could react, the monster slowly turned into a banshee. She, like Ogras, was burned and bruised in different places, but there was no doubt about her. She even frowned when he saw the woman staring at him.

Before Sapp could do anything, the shadows began to charge towards Ogras, looking like they were a second skin on his body.

"Split up and run away," Ogras said, his voice sounding like it was coming from the depths of hell, his body completely blackened.

Sapp did not hesitate to obey orders, because this battle was not something that someone like him could meddle in. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw that Janos did the same, and in the distance, he saw a group of angry priests begin to walk towards them. A primal fear pushed Sapp's leg forward, but pathological curiosity led him to cast one last look at the fight.

Ogras looked like a god of darkness, with two huge black wings on his back, facing the high priest who radiated a fiery light. A huge sun burned behind the priest, and the mace in his hand seemed to devour the flames in the sky.

Sapp almost thought he was back in hallucinations, but he knew he wasn't that lucky. The world has really gone crazy.

The 10-meter-long boulder carried by the corpse puppets exuded a strong sense of discomfort, as if they themselves exuded the chill of death. Zach got goosebumps from their aura, even where he hid in the middle of the leaves. The undead seem to enjoy it and even fight each other to get as close to them as possible.

Zach actually knew what these things were, as he had consulted as much general knowledge as he could about the power of the undead, preparing for finding his sister. He may need to travel through the territory of the undead to find her, and any knowledge will help.

These massive pillars are known as beacons of evil, and they are tools for transforming cosmic energy into a smoky miasma.

There is still much unclear about how exactly the Undead Legion exists, but it is clear that it has something to do with the Dark Miasma. Cultivating the energy of the undead is almost harmful to them. While normal cosmic energy is not tuned, it can be considered a fundamental part of life. However, putting it in the body of a living corpse can be very harmful.

They instead absorb poison gas, or death, to tune cosmic energy, as it is also called. There were places where extreme bloodshed occurred, which naturally created poison gas, other times the undead forces made it out of lighthouses and arrays. These beacons basically terrain an area to create an environment suitable for the undead.

The need for smoky miasma is also one of the reasons why the undead force creates so many zombies. Zombies are generally weak unless they manage to awaken their intelligence, but they act as beacons of miniature evil.

The low-level zombies can still absorb cosmic energy, but in fact most of the energy is released in the form of poison gas. This process is much less efficient compared to real beacons, but zombies are self-propagating, creating natural propagation in the realm of the undead.

Poison gas is not too toxic to humans, and in fact people can absorb it as if they were absorbing cosmic energy. However, doing this for too long can have negative effects that affect the body and mind. But this is only for people with a strong physique like Zach.

An ordinary first-level mortal who would get sick and die in a few days if he or she stayed in the smoke, while Zach could traverse the entire invasion without any problems.

Zach didn't expect the undead invaders to come to the island with beacons. This means that they are not just planning a quick attack, but to occupy the area for a long time after his town has been dealt with.

Zach frowned as he looked at the glittering pillars because he couldn't let those things keep spewing smoke. It was only a few hours after the intruders arrived, but the neighborhood had largely changed to give a terrifying feeling.

If left unchecked for a long time, a large part of the island may become uninhabitable. Their presence only reiterates his point that the third wave needs to be handled at lightning speed. If all goes well, he may attack the second boss within an hour, just as the zombies start to wreak havoc.

With a few minutes left before the agreed time, Zach had been in the area looking for the troops brought by the corpse lord. He counted at least 50 corpse golems, most of which surrounded the entire monolith. But he could only find five anomalies. Maybe those freaks of nature are rare, and Zach doesn't know much about them.

Eventually, he found a large tent that looked unusually normal except for its dark color. The Walking Dead doesn't care that there's a roof above their heads, so it should belong to the corpse owner. Several corpse golems also stand guard around it, which makes it difficult to sneak around.

However, he is ready to walk through the sea of zombies to get close to the corpse owner, as he is not good at sneaking. Hopefully, galloping through the crowd with the necklace and [the homeless] will be enough for him to gain the upper hand in front of the enemy.

The time was almost up, and Zach held his breath for a few seconds, a little dread in his heart. However, this fear is masked by unwavering determination. A few months on this island reinvigorated him and gave him a determined mindset. A year ago, he would have screamed and fled at the sight of the horror in front of him, but now he is only looking at it from a tactical point of view.

He took out his axe again and looked at it carefully. Hopefully, this upgrade will prove useful in battle, as the stone costs 6 million. He felt the excitement of the axe when he fed the stone to the axe, but he still hadn't figured out what had changed since the axe was used. It looked pretty much the same as before, and he didn't feel any difference when he killed Mega Man earlier.

Then, he put on an inconspicuous cloak to cover himself slightly, and with five seconds left before the deadline, he rushed towards the tent of the headquarters without hesitation. Every step [the homeless] took would push him closer to 10 meters, leaving almost no shadow behind him.

Most of the zombies didn't even notice what Zach was passing by, and just wandered around aimlessly. Some startled and began to growl, all the while looking around with confused faces, perhaps trying to figure out what was really going on.

Zach wasn't bothered by this, as he poured a lot of cosmic energy into his arms and axes, and he wanted to end it all with a quick blow.

Finally he made it to the outside of the tent, and Zach was half-baked when he appeared. A five-meter-long fractal blade cut through the air horizontally, infusing the heavy knife. A zombie golem stands on the swing, but [Viru's bite] has the power of a train, and it tears through its dense muscles, splitting the bulky golem in two.

The blade continued unobstructed into the tent, but as it passed almost completely, Zach felt a shockwave of pain in his arm, and his swing instantly lost all momentum. A huge shockwave spreads out, pushing nearby zombies away, and two giant zombie golems even fall from the Force.

The tent was turned into a streamer by wild energy, and Zach saw the inside of the tent. The Corpse Lord stood steady like a mountain, his bone hook holding Zack's fractal blade in place. Zack's eyes meet the evil eyes like the red orbs of the undead leader, and the corpse lord's mouth opens into a terrifying grin, revealing sharp teeth.

"I doubt you'll try this, human," the undead warrior said with a sneer. "You think my death will solve your problems, and you may be right. But this amount of power alone is not enough. ”

Zach didn't know how he could understand the undead general's words, but it didn't matter. Instead of answering the taunt, he quickly implemented a new fractal blade. He actually noticed that the Corpse Lord's hand was a very subtle tremor that could mean that the defenses weren't as relaxed as the undead humanoids would have liked.

He remembered Ogras's advice to gather everything on each swing. He needs to put an end to it as soon as possible so that he doesn't get overwhelmed by a sea of undead monsters. Each of Zach's swings is filled with his heavy knives or sharp knives, and he tries everything in the book to create an opening.

The undead are a close game, with giant bone hooks tearing through the air for every swing. Zach breathed a sigh of relief and said that he was actually pushing the guy back a bit and keeping the pace going. However, he didn't dare to relax, because it seemed that the undead didn't use any knives, and Zach wouldn't believe that an invading leader didn't have at least a few knives.

Zack also gets a steady stream of cosmic energy, as the zombies in the area do not hesitate to join the battle between the two power plants and constantly rush towards Zack in an attempt to disrupt his rhythm. However, zombies are too weak to do anything, and most zombies are destroyed by the wrong energy or shockwaves from the war.

Suddenly, the corpse owner jumped back and let out a beastly roar. The evil lighthouses around them sparkled and emitted terrible turquoise that covered the entire area. The world has become almost monochromatic, and all the warm colors in the spectrum have disappeared.

It seems that the corpse owner is doing his best.

"Wait, that name sounds interesting. Claire said, then called a book and flipped through it for a while. "Ah, yes. Its owner is Wallace Ewen Sr. The man died at the call of the devil. Some...... Quirks, but ...... She then read another book. "It went to the Empire, but I wanted to see what I could do. Considering it's still abandoned, I deserve a fair price. Is that okay?Elia?" she asked.

"It's up to you, Kayla, you're going to make it at any restaurant. Want Kindrek?"

"Are you crazy?" said Kayla, but Claire waved her back.

"Even if the price is higher than expected, this is not a problem. You're a former chef? It should be one of the most revered places in Ravenhall. "Even if the book is believable," Claire explains.

"yes, she's such an amazing cook. Grab it and make her the boss. Or do you want a manager or something? Elija said, Kayla's mouth opening and closing as her brain overheated.

"I'll take care of it. Give me a few days. I'll give you a list of different restaurants for potential employees, or you can go there and find them yourself. There are a lot of street vendors nearby, but I think there are already enough wealthy people to support some of the more upscale restaurants. It would be beneficial to have a name and the same chef. "Can you stay here, we'll draft the details. Claire said, and Elija stood up.

"Great, that's settled. Elija said, then turned to Kayla, "If you don't want Kindrek, tell her." ”。 I'll check it out as soon as it starts. You'll only cook for me for the first two weeks. Elija said she checked the necklace and found only three meals left that had been prepared by the chef.
