Chapter 103: Suspension (I)
Moyer stood firm against a twig as his legs staggered, exhausted, and had the hardness of soggy spaghetti. While he himself is content, he himself is also content.
Whatever her name, he spent some time in the groin of the forest goddess, feeling a little guilty for forgetting the time. He cautiously touched his chin. He has a rough sandpaper on his palm, like a spiky cardboard.
How long has he been plowing the fields and growing crops? Is there a time dilation effect?
This seems like a viable hypothesis, as it is still daylight outside, and the marmots that greeted them earlier are still spinning around listlessly. Some of them have strayed from Moyer's path, but even the mighty Moyer feels too lethargic to continue freighting after his previous marathon. He ran empty, rode a cigarette, and squeezed it out like a dried cucumber.
"What about everyone?" he asked a red-haired, adorable pair of eyes, and a blank expression.
"Gone!" the fairy girl lamented, her eyes running over Moyer's lower body. "Play?"
"Uh...... Not now. ”
"Okay, they're going that way. Are you sure?"
He was even more angry. Others must have abandoned him. He had to catch up now, hoping that the ship would still be anchored when he arrived.
"Enhance your physique!"
"Increase agility!"
"Retreat quickly!"
He activated some self-buffs and followed where the ghost had indicated. It will be an arduous trek, and the sun looks as exhausted as if it was back in a cave.
Behind him, the woods parted.
"Where are you going?!" shouted a high-pitched, female voice, not much different from Helena's milky tone. A turquoise marmot, struggling to make it smooth and radiant, slammed into the clearing, capriciously undulating. "You're still alive!"
Suddenly, his aching muscle fatigue no longer mattered.
It's like the stag was injected with ** hormone and Moyer escaped.
In the depths of Bayan Canyon, Sofina returns to her Heart Tree, where she has planted an elaborate sarcophagus for her former companions. She watched intently as the roots took root in place, crossed and fused into a chunky piece of ironwood that grew around Henry's body.
"Oh, captain, my captain......" Sofina announced to the general, her voice echoing through the empty hall.
Not so long ago, this place was full of human voices.
The first was Gunther, who argued loudly with Henry, asking for advice. There was a man named Alexia, who, despite the fact that she was thirty years old, pretended to be young and shy and tried to get out of the situation. Then Gwen came, all the while craving knowledge and the next spell, speaking in her strange way, asking questions that popped up out of nowhere.
There is nothing now, and there will be no visitors in the foreseeable future. For the first time in a long time, she was alone. She was alone in the dark, with nothing but a memorial of the body of a man who had once occupied half of her hostility.
When something falls to the floor, it makes an inconspicuous "clang".
Sofina wants a tendril to retrieve the object for a closer look.
It was a sparkling scale, about the size of a thumbnail, that shimmered in the most beautiful colors. Sofina had seen it before, and it was Gwen's. Through it, the female mage channeled the primordial mana of the creation itself.
The scales have now run out, but there is still a seed of life, waiting to be resurrected.
Almost instinctively, Sofina placed the scales on her left **, allowing the woodgrain dermis to open and swallow the relic, allowing it to rest next to her creature core. She could feel a slight tingling as her life force nourished the object, telling her that her life energy had begun to cultivate its severed connection.
It was a strange, indescribable sensation that Sofina could no longer adequately handle, but the sensation lingered and she became aware of the feeling of warmth.
It's a feeling of no longer being alone.
It was only after Paul and Captain Soekarno got in touch that they broke free of the cordon.
The captain happily replied, ecstatic to see that they had returned so soon. Unlike the landing party, Sukarno's encounter was accidental, and he avoided curious creatures visiting the low-lying part of Repulse Bay at night.
Sulcano, as much as he liked Gwen's beautiful companions, did not expect the adventurers to return unscathed. After all, these islands are said to be inhabited by man-eating wood fairies. He was sure that if fishermen were lured to the island by bathing fairies, they would never be seen again.
When a group of people rushed out of the trees, Sukarno was even more surprised to find that the team had grown. Now they have a little blonde girl who looks refreshing, a Polynesian giant with tattoos on her face, and an Asian girl, who is Chinese in appearance, who wears a shirt three sizes smaller than her bust.
Sukarno wondered for a moment if the gang had kidnapped some young fairies from the island. He heard that the rich people of the upper classes had exotic and expensive tastes. When one gets tired of a pseudonym girl, no matter how delicate or lively, one turns to strangers' fetishes, like humanoids and half-humans. Bored rich people have been known to put their dick in anything for the thrill.
When they approached the ship, it became clear that they were purebreds.
"Hey, I'm glad to see you're all safe!"
Sukarno took a quick count of the number of people, as the mage known as Paul was walking around the party and escorting them across the shallows towards the boat.
The slender Eurasian girl got on board first, skillfully lifted herself over the side of the boat, and greeted him with a kind smile.
"Good evening, Captain. I'm afraid we have a few more passengers. ”
"No problem. I'm glad everyone is safe. ”
His eyes scanned the party.
"Ah, where's your dad? Is he okay?"
"I'm sure he's good. Gwen looked behind her, where the jungle was gradually recovering, and there was obvious progress.
"Do you want to leave tonight? or shall we wait for him?"
"Is there a problem traveling at night?"
Sukarno shrugged.
"It only lasted an hour, after that, we hit the shield lighthouse, and then everything was fine. ”
Gwen measured her fingers against the backdrop of the setting sun. They had more than two hours of daylight, and then another hour in the blue hour before the sun sank into the sea.
"We'll wait another hour, and everyone will change their clothes," Gwen told the curious captain. "If Moyer doesn't show up, it means he's chosen to live a life of planting seeds with Dry. ”
"Ah, that sounds like an enviable way to die," Sukarno chuckled, his advice well, we'll wait. ”
Sukarno's insinuating grin made Gwen see that the island was full of small Maya saplings. It was a strong antipathy, and she naturally found Elvia, who was terrified of her uninvited interest.
Their return trip was uneventful, but not pleasant at all. The crew was soaked in dirt, pollen, and sap that cleared wayward plants as they approached the exit. Even if there is no danger, the weather is hot and humid, and the body is tired.
Yue and Avia were also exhausted by the five-hour march, their uniforms and school boots unfit for trekking through the primeval forest. When Elvia sank into knee-deep loam for the fifth time and quickly got stuck, Huitu decided to carry her on his back. In addition, they must also hide from wayward insects. A leech the size of Avia's arm fell from a tree, causing Avia to scream for cover, only to hit a leech the size of her leg. Some other strange animals, like butterflies, with blue eyes and a round iris on their wings, also drew a straight line, allowing Elvis Presley to spoil her with his meter-long needle-like proboscise.
Now that Gwen thinks about it, Elvia is like a walking insect bait. Is it because of her positive energy? She wondered. Either way, only a long cold shower can relieve them of their current pain.
Gwen told the others about her intentions, and they got to work. Feeling a little guilty about always eating for the first time, she asked the men to wash it first, and handed her the decanter full of water. Willis holds the decanter like a man who finds water in the desert, so that the shower below deck finally feels clean after the terrible trek.
As they wait, Gwen gathers Elvia and Yue at the stern of the trawler, and the three face the blue shore to tell the story of what happened between Deborah and herself.
"Fuck my goat ass," Yue clearly expressed her shock and frustration. "A damn shapeshifter wants you to move? when we were at your grandfather's house?"
"Oh, Gwynnie, I'm so sorry," Elvia hugged Gwen, though they were both sweaty and dirty.
"It's alright, Eve. I survived. It's over, at least for now," Gwen hypothesized. "Elizabeth is gone. The host is gone. Gunther has taken over the tower in Sydney. The city is being rebuilt. I think we can all keep a low profile for a while and focus on refugee issues. ”
"You think the snake ate Elizabeth?" Elvia asked.
Gwen shook her head.
"She lost all the life force she's gathered, stolen from two million people, including merfolk, so I guess she'll be out of action for a while. Unless her void magic is completely different from mine. ”
"What are you talking about refugees?" Yue asked, curious to know what happens when a city becomes apathetic.
"According to Richard, we will be assigned to a Tier 1 or Tier 2 city, depending on our talent. Gwen bit her lip uneasily. She's not sure either. Does this mean that Yue, Avia, and herself can't be together?
She can then ask Gunther or the tower to intervene again. It's nice to have friends at the top.
The broader issue is not Yue or Evian, but their families. Gwen doubts that the tower can accommodate two full families, let alone support her mother-in-law, who is a pseudonym. Elvia's family may also have their plans. Perhaps they can take the opportunity to return to Europe, a place that their ancestors have dreamed of since losing their land and emigrating to Australia. As for Ritu, he may have returned to his master in Auckland.
"Hmm. Xiao Yue tapped the warm metal plate with her fingers. "I think I'll stay with Master. How badly did you think she was hurt?"
"She's recovering well," Gwen assured her friend that the medical mage said she should be back to normal in a year or so. What's more, her shattered astral body takes time. When Alessia appears in her Jean form, it is badly damaged. Physically, she may get better in a few weeks. ”
"I'm glad I heard you say that," Xiao Yue said, gasping. "I had to tell my mom and dad, even though I thought it would work. Dad is just a regular Joe now, and Mom is a pseudonym, so I doubt they'll send us away. So there is no profit. What do the city and the retired want?"
"I hope so. Gwen replied. If Yue's family can stay in Australia, she will most likely help and take good care of them. If nothing else, they can stay with Suliya and be safe while the city recovers.
"I don't want to go to Europe," Elvia said suddenly, realizing that her family would most likely seize the opportunity. After all, unlike Yue, her family was entirely made up of gifted medical mages and various other bloodlines. Families like theirs would be welcomed anywhere, at least as refugees. They are like a cargo ship full of talent and resources, and they are good and cheap. The family will have to make ends meet, burying their heads in work for a few years, but eventually, after about 10 years, they can regain their life in Australia – only in a first-tier city, and possibly even in their ancestral home of Austria-Hungary.
"We're about to cross the bridge when we get to it," Gwen said confidently, pinching Elvia's flushed cheeks. "The worst-case scenario is that you can be with me. I'll take care of you! We're going to be in the tower room. We can hang out with Xiaoyue. Formation of a cabal. Be the Three Witches of Sydney!"
"Don't you think they're going to send you somewhere?" Yue questioned. If she belonged to a foreign faction, she would seriously consider kidnapping a Gwen genius.
"I guess I'd better stay with Gunther and Alesia. Gwen nodded, easing Yue's paranoia. Just as the words left her lips, Gwen felt a tingling, creepy premonition in her skin that accompanied her talent for divination.
"What's wrong?"
Gwen scanned their surroundings, wondering if there was imminent danger.
Yes.
Salt suddenly came out of the tree on the other side.
Moyer popped out of his fur, a white blur stamping his feet on the beach. Behind him, a giantess, of emerald beauty, walked out naked, like a primordial goddess of fertility.
"Moyer, where are you going?" she held out, tendrils flying in the air.
"Salt shards!" Maya spun, unleashing a jagged shard that tore her ribbon to shreds.
With everyone's excited expressions on their faces, the salt mage ran to the water, and the sound of his footsteps turned the sea water into floating pieces of salt. He used these as platforms and ran straight across the shallows towards them.
The duo stopped on the edge of the shallows. This land is the sphere of her freedom of movement.
Meanwhile, the crew was in an uproar, pointing frantically while taking pictures, marveling at the perfection and exquisite, seductive display of Delaide's body. Sunset, Sea Water, Drade - this is an adult-only Kodak Lumens recording.
With a wave of his hand, Moyer landed on the foredeck of the trawler, and salt armor poured down from him, revealing tattered clothes that looked like they had been torn from him.
"Oh my God, that's smart!" he hissed, salt seeping into his wounds. Moyer's back looked like it had been twisted together by a piece of sandpaper. "Jonas! I think she took some of my meat as a souvenir. Ahh
Because Elvia was closest to Moyer, the kind doctor opened a door to heal the wound. Her spell is stronger than before, with the help of the green elves in her hair.
With Elvia's gentle repair in place, Moyer's skin began to heal quickly. Gwen's father calmed his nerves and turned to look at the angelic little nurse, his eyes full of benevolent gratitude, and gave her a confident smile.
"If someone like you were here to heal me, I would probably hurt a thousand times," he said to Elvia with a serious look in his eyes, the last few seconds of numbing pain evaporating from his mind like a wound on his body. "What's your name, Angel?"
"Hollow bolts!"
A beam of hexical energy darker than black swept across Moyer's face, with the smell of rot and decay, scraping a few millimeters of skin from his cheeks. It all happened so fast that his mage shield didn't even activate. When the blood began to seep out, Moyer realized that he could no longer feel that inch of his face.
"No," Gwen said to her father sternly, like an owner admonishing a bad dog. "Just. No. ”
Elvia cutely sticks out her tongue and heals Moyer's facial wounds.
Once again, he felt guilty. He didn't shoot with a shield, but it wasn't a fatal blow for his daughter. On the other hand, he realizes that this cute little guy must be a good friend of his daughter and the one they rescue.
Maybe he should let this pass?
"Don't be so empty," Moyer scolded Gwen harshly, his eyes darling away from her critical gaze. "It's not good for your health. ”
Gwen's hazel orbs pass through her bloody father, Avia, who is scarlet from cheek to cheek, to Drade's sex goddess who still craves Moyer loudly, and she jumps up and down to lure him back.
"Wow, Mr. Song, you're such a job," Yue said.
"Watch your mouth, Lady White, lest I tell your father," Moyer snubbed her. Then a few more words of advice. "Lest I tell my mother about your father. ”
Yue's eyes narrowed dangerously, and the air became hotter.
Gwen took Yue and Elvia by the arm and pulled them down deck. Maybe it's better to keep these two nouveau riche separate. If they hold on, the ship may never return to Singapore.
Above, Sukarno gave the order to set sail, the mana engine rushed towards life, and the ship began to move.
There was only one shower.
