Chapter 6: Looking at the Corridor
A guy complained that An Tong put too much explosives and quarreled.
The senior brother shouted: "What is the noise, isn't it still dead." Save some effort and hurry up and move the stones. ”
Everyone began to busily move the stones, and this may be the last hope. Everyone went to move the stones, but Tianxiang didn't move.
I asked Tianxiang, "What do you want? ”
Tianxiang glanced at me and said, "Why don't you want to think about how to get in, but instead do something you can't do?"
"Why can't you move stones? Are you stupid?" I asked him angrily.
"And how long do you think it will take us to get through here?" he asked me.
I replied quietly: "As long as the stones don't fall anymore, it will take about 1 to 2 hours." ”
Tianxiang asked me if I had been that long, and I wanted to ask him what he meant by that, but I finally understood. Because I thought about it carefully, I felt that he was right, the stone pile in front of me had to be moved, and it would not be possible to do it in a short time, and we had limited oxygen. Even if the oxygen is enough to open the cave, it may not be enough to get out.
I looked back at this stone gate and asked Tianxiang, "Do you have a way to open it?"
Tianxiang replied, "Not yet. ”
I'm so angry in my heart, it's a waste of time to move stones without you.
This stone pile is too faceless, just move away and fall down a little, there are not so many stones on it, the more anxious the more messy.
One of the fellows took a very smooth stone and said, "Look at the writing on this stone." ”
We got together and looked at it, and the stones were all written in Mongolian. Rub, no one knows. I asked the guy where he had picked it up, and the guy pointed to the middle of the pile, and I walked over to see that there were some gravel with that word on it. I picked up a piece and saw that it was glass! I looked up at the pile of rocks that had fallen. I was overjoyed that there was a big hole in it. I shouted over the intercom, "Come here, there's a way out!"
Hearing the shout, everyone walked towards me, and I didn't know which three cannons, just look at it, and swim up and touch it with my hand, and the stone on it was already broken by the explosion just now, and it will fall down a little as soon as it touches it. Fortunately, they were all small rocks, or they would have been buried alive. It may have been touched by the same person just now, and the hole is a little bigger. Looking at the hole in front of me, although it was smashed, I couldn't help but feel a joy in my heart, after all, this may be a way to live.
Tianxiang asked everyone to dodge first, and he went up to take a look first. Soon Tianxiang swam back and asked us to go with him, saying that it was empty.
We followed Tianxiang to swim up one after another, and when we reached the water, I found that there was a platform above, and the level of the water was exactly the same as the bottom of the platform.
It's not a good idea to say that this is a platform, but it's more like a corridor, with text and images on the walls on both sides.
An Tong was the first to climb up, walked a few steps back and said, "It should be safe, let's come up first." ”
Seeing that there was nothing to do, everyone climbed up. Tianxiang took out the lighter pinned to the wetsuit, hit it, and it turned out to be on fire. Holy, there's air in here! I can't wait to take off my clothes. Later, I thought about it and waited for them to take it off, in case the air was poisonous, Lao Tzu's life would be gone.
I saw that a guy and An Tong had already taken off their clothes, and then I saw that the senior brother and Tianxiang hadn't taken off anyone, and thought: Jiang is still old and spicy, I guess they and myself have the same idea.
After observing them for a while, I saw that they had no other discomfort, and I turned off the oxygen cycle and took off my clothes. After taking off this clothes, it is really comfortable, and the whole body is a lot easier. There is a kind of air flow on the face, I damn it, there is wind here, it should be outside. At this time, the mood is like a new life, which can no longer be summed up as a joy.
An Tong said behind me, "Seventh Uncle, why did you shed so much blood?"
I looked down, but no, there was blood on my clothes, and I said how could I feel so much pain in the back of my neck. At this time, everyone had already taken off their diving suits, and the senior brother came to check the back of my neck, took out gauze and Yunnan Baiyao from An Tong's bag, and made a simple bandage for me. I thought about it carefully, I should have let that monster hit me, TMD, and I was very ruthless. I asked An Tong, "Do you still have a little burn in that bag?"
"No, just take a bottle and give it back to the monster. ”
"Oh, it's a pity. I sighed with regret.
The senior brother said on the side: "Everyone take the clothes, we will have to use them later, we have to go." ”
One of the guys asked, "Where are we going?" ”
When we looked, sure enough, there was a stone gate in front and another direction in the cave. I suggest that everyone go inside, you have to go in and have a look, it is not in vain, and how does the wind flow blow out from the inside, there should be a way out of the outside. Tianxiang and I agreed, and in the end we all decided to go inside, but we had to take turns turning on the searchlights, after all, the power was limited.
As I walked, I looked at the wall, which was all in Mongolian script, and only there were some animal patterns on the top of my head.
About 30 meters ahead, there was an empty square room, not only in Mongolian, but also in various painted patterns, although some of the patterns are no longer clear, but you can still see that most of these pictures depict women. Directly opposite where we walked, there was a stone door, and the door was not closed. I propose to rest here for a while and recuperate, after all, the fatigue I felt from the beating just now has not been removed.
While everyone was resting, I looked at the patterns around me. The starting point should be to start with the baby motifs on this wall, where many parents give their babies to some people, and those people give their parents a lot of money in exchange. And then there is this wall next to it, these children are gradually growing up, and they have all grown into beautiful women, and someone is giving them something, it should be pills. Then there was another wall, and the girls were wrapped in cloth and soaked in the jar, but it was strange that the girls were not dead, and they were still fed something every day. On the last wall, some girls were carried out, their bodies were covered with scales, and their heads were also wrapped at this time, and after inspection, they were continued to soak in the jar, until one day, a Taoist priest came, pulled them all away, and took them to a construction site.
Seeing this, I suddenly felt a little chilly, could it be that the floating corpses in the deep sea encountered outside are all the baby girls painted here? At this time, Tianxiang told me that he had heard Tian Lux talk about the scale corpse guarding the tomb before. I was curious and asked him to hear about it, and he said he only knew a little about it. In ancient times, there were many dignitaries who would choose the tomb many years in advance, and then start to raise scale corpses in the tomb, the ultimate goal was to use scale corpses to guard the tomb, but many ended in failure, because the formation of scale corpses is too difficult.
I looked at the last wall and said, "This Taoist priest on that wall is good enough, and he has raised so many scale corpses at one time, this tomb must have a background." ”
After hearing me say this, An Tong and the two guys next to him were overjoyed, and muttered: "Finally met a big job." ”
Everyone stood up, picked up their things and continued to walk forward. The stone door in front of me was open, and I looked around, and there was no trace of being knocked by an external force, so it should be that the tomb owner did not close it after he was buried. But isn't this scientific? All ancient tombs have to be closed as long as the owner of the tomb has been buried. But this one is deliberately left with a door, which is really the world's biggest!
We continued to walk inside, and after the stone gate there was another long corridor. But this corridor is different, there are many pictures on the left wall, and the wall on the right is full of words. Although we don't recognize the ancient characters on the right, we can understand the fresco on the left. This is a corridor of looking at the countryside, which was specially built for the soul of the tomb owner by the descendants of the tomb owner.
In ancient times, many wealthy and powerful families would build a lookout corridor when building tombs, so that when the tomb owner was homesick, the soul could come here to recall the past. The Wangxiang Corridor is different from the epitaph, most of the epitaphs record the great achievements of the tomb owner, while the Wangxiang Corridor records the events that happened in the life of the tomb owner, and they are often fragments of the life of the tomb owner.
The things in these paintings seem to be mundane, but they are indescribably weird, and they are composed of many paintings.
The first one shows a yurt with a few people outside who seem to be waiting for something.
In the second, a woman emerges from the tent, handing over the child she is holding to one of the waiters, and the rest of the waiters are kneeling on the grass when they see this scene.
In the third picture, there are many people in the tent, the child should be over the age of many years, much older, holding a horsewhip in his left hand and a jade ruyi in his right hand.
In the fourth, the child has grown to 6-7 years old, riding on the same horse as his father, followed by many Mongol cavalry.
In the fifth, the child has grown up and can ride a horse to shoot independently, and he is chasing a wild boar with a bow and arrow.
The sixth, presumably around 17-18 years old, is attacking a city in battle armor, and he and his soldiers are fighting bravely to kill the enemy.
In the seventh, he and his army arrived in the Central Plains, and the local officials and villagers knelt down to greet him, and the common people in the painting were overjoyed.
In the eighth, in a palace, he is dressed in Mongolian official clothes and stands on his royal highness, and the person sitting in the palace is his father.
In the ninth, he is dressed in a festive costume and marries a Mongolian girl, which is attended by many dignitaries.
In the tenth, he and the Mongolian girl are holding a child, which should be their child, and the family is happy.
The eleventh one, presumably a feudal or fiefdom, the family happily moved to a place where there was an endless green prairie.
In the twelfth picture, he returned to the Central Plains wearing linen and filial piety, kneeling in front of the spirit of a palace and crying, thinking that his father had passed away.
In the thirteenth picture, at the same time as the funeral, he was taken away by several Mongolian soldiers, subjected to severe torture, and some people were pressuring him to ask him something.
In the fourteenth, he kneels on the ground and cries out to the new monarch, who lifts him up and frees him, who is supposed to be his brother.
In the fifteenth, the whole family was forced to move to the Central Plains, leaving the prairie they loved and coming to a place called Quanzhou.
In the sixteenth painting, he is no longer an official, but he begins to do business and manage money, and pursues the Taoist method of family life.
In the seventeenth piece, he happened to meet a master who could move mountains and teach him the way to become an immortal.
In the eighteenth, he sent this enlightened master to help him build a mausoleum deep in the mountains, and he took alchemy in the mausoleum.
In the nineteenth piece, he gave up his family wealth and let this Taoist help him become an immortal.
In the twentieth picture, he smiled and walked away, giving the rest of his possessions to the Taoist chief and his son.
There are a few frescoes behind these pictures, but there are only 20 of them. Judging from the mural just now, this man should be the son of the Great Khan of Mongolia, and these 20 paintings record the entire process of his life from birth to the end of his life. What is certain is that this should be the mausoleum of the protagonist of Wangxiang Corridor. The only thing that puzzled me was that the mausoleum he built was on a mountain, so how could it be in the sea now? Could it really be as painted on the painting, that Taoist priest could move mountains? This is also incredible! Anyway, there are things in every ancient tomb that cannot be explained, and I don't bother to think about it.
Looking ahead, it should be all about how the mausoleum was built. There are many stonemasons and coolies at work, but they are not supervised by soldiers and householders, but by a group of Taoist priests, each with a sword in their hands. In one of the rooms, the floor was filled with vats, all of which were women covered in cloth.
This project is really huge, it is actually 7 floors up and down, and contrary to the convention, this tomb is built in order from top to bottom. It was first built on the 7th floor, which is strange because there is nothing on the 7th floor except for some tomb-making tools. What about the sixth floor? It's like a labyrinth, with many loops, and it's a bit dizzying. The more I look at it, the more wrong it becomes, this looks like building a mausoleum, how does it look like digging a grave!
The picture below proves that I am right, this is really a grave exhumation! On the fifth floor there is the main hall of the mausoleum and some rooms that I can't describe. The craftsmen removed everything that could be moved, except for the sarcophagus, and they simply carved the sarcophagus again, carving some patterns on the outside of the sarcophagus. On the next floor is the underground palace of the original mausoleum, which they cleaned up and moved the vats there. Then this layer is a gossip shape, the shape of the picture looks like a treasure house, but the so-called treasure in the painting is the alchemy furnace used by Taoist priests, there is a table for pills, and there is a blood-red pool painted next to it.
There used to be a legend that in ancient times, in order to seek the elixir of immortality, I did not hesitate to use the virgin blood of hundreds of boys and girls to refine the elixir, and I saw that the pool was really similar! Before I knew it, my hairs stood on end.
The next floor, which should be the one we are on, has a straight gallery and several spacious rooms, the largest of which depicts all the sacrificial utensils, which is supposed to be reserved for the sacrifice of the owner's relatives. Further down is the last floor, where there are large and small rooms, some of the small rooms seem to be encased in large rooms, I don't understand what is going on, it feels weird, it feels more like a construction diagram.
The next few murals were more esoteric, and they were supposed to depict the mechanisms on each floor, but there were many of them that I didn't understand at the time.
The first thing to draw is the bottom layer, where there are 4 huge monsters guarding the town, and 4 monsters are guarding the outside of the tomb in a regular manner. I thought, "There are four, my mother, I just met two, that is, there are two more?" I pray to heaven that we don't meet again.
Then there's the floor where we're now, and there's no monster depicted on this floor, but there are seven strange-looking people, each in a strange position* in the verandah. No, it should be said, it is a dead man with seven different ways of dying! The first one is a dead man who was pierced by ten thousand arrows, covered with arrow feathers, and the whole person looks like a hedgehog. The second was stabbed to death by a row of sharp knives that fell from above, and his body was covered in wounds. The third fell into a space below and was trapped alive. The fourth one was bound by chains, with a painful expression, and should also be trapped. The fifth one looks like he was poisoned, as he was bleeding from seven holes. The sixth was hung upside down with a rope and was supposed to be hanged alive. The seventh one didn't understand that there was a headless corpse drawn, and it was supposed to have been beheaded by some weapon.
I looked at the position of the mural and shouted, "Oh no, don't move." ”
The others were startled by my shout, and I saw that the one walking in front was a fellow, using a flashlight to light the way, the second was An Tong, and the rest were still behind me.
Looking at the location of the dead man on the painting, it should be near An Tong and that guy. I first told the two of them not to move, and then asked Senior Brother and Tianxiang to come and see the mural. When they saw this scene, they were also shocked, judging by the content of the mural, now An Tong and the guy have walked into the agency. The reason why the mechanism is not opened means that they have not touched it.
Senior Brother asked me, "Xiao Qi, can this mechanism be broken?"
As I looked around, I replied, "I have to find the trigger point of this trap first, and I have to know what type of trap it is and how it is triggered." ”
There's a reason why Senior Brother asked me this, because I usually go to explore the mysteries of the mechanism, and among the seven apprentices of the master, I like to study the mechanism.
