Chapter 9: Life and Death Struggle (Part II)

Layton picked up the tactical backpack that Lowe had thrown at him, which contained a lot of equipment made of nanotechnology that could be folded to fit in a normal backpack. Leighton donned a white combat suit, which was shock-resistant, and he carried a metal greatsword about his size.

"Huh!" Jude Law finally understood, looking at what was happening in front of him, "You guys?"

"We are HPI, and if you are willing to cooperate, we may be able to solve the problem peacefully. Layton actually understood that persuasion was useless for the man in front of him, but he still gave the other party a chance to choose.

"Soldiers?" Rowe pondered, "You mean cloned soldiers!" Lowe understood what the Bowler Men meant, these bodyguards were soldiers mass-produced by the Topper Men through cloning technology.

"Looks like you're going to have to come with us, too!" Lowe took out a claw hook gun from his hand and shot it at the top hat man at the top of the audience, so far away that the top hat man thought that Lo couldn't help him. Lowe grabbed his bare feet with a claw-hook gun and pulled him off the audience.

"Kill him for me!" shouted the man in top hat who had been dragged down by the claw hook gun, and the bodyguards dressed in black began to gather towards Luo, forming a black vortex.

"Do you want to stay alive or do you want to continue fighting us!" As the bodyguards were about to gather, Lowe pulled the man in top hat to his side, stepped on his head and pointed a pistol at his head. The man in the top hat trembled with fear and ordered the bodyguards to stop immediately.

"Give me a good look at this game!" said Luo viciously to the man in the top hat at his feet.

At this moment, the thermal barrier in front of Jude Law became looming, and his physical strength was almost unable to maintain this barrier, and from time to time, armor-piercing bullets passed through the gap in the barrier and hit his body. Eventually, Jude Law couldn't hold it anymore, the thermal barrier in front of him shattered, and he collapsed in the ring, a lot of blood flowing from his body.

Lo and Vera also let go of their tense nerves, but ignored the man in the top hat at their feet.

"Imps, don't get too complacent, send me to hell!" the man in the top hat pulled out a controller and pressed the switch. Lo reacted and knocked him unconscious with a punch, but it was too late. The controller was the switch that operated the serum syringe around Jude Law's neck, which the man in top hat placed while Jude Law was looking. Jude Law was injected with the serum to his feet, but his emotions became more manic than ever, and the wounds on his body from the machine gun healed at a rate visible to the naked eye. This serum is the medicine that was previously used on pseudo-gifted people, which can increase the strength of the injector for a short time, but at the cost of life and sanity.
