Chapter XII
A few people came to the library, perhaps because of the weekend, there were a lot of people in the library, and many of them looked excited, obviously first-year freshmen. The place had already been taken up quite a bit, and Gemar took us to a table by the window, where a few Slytherin seniors were sitting, and there were books in a few places next to it, but no one was sitting, thinking that Gemar had greeted us in advance and asked them to help take a few places.
Goyle and Crabbe were apparently not interested in reading, and when they found a place to sit down, they took out their class assignments and began to learn from each other. Gemar motioned for Malfoy and Sally to follow him, and he whispered an overview of the library's classifications, and strongly suggested some useful or interesting books for the two of them. Tell them that if they don't want to visit the library every once in a while, they can choose to borrow some books back, each with markings that will let the librarian know who owns the books, and will prevent them from being smuggled out of Hogwarts.
"There is only one kind of book, except for it. He walked over to a locked door and said. There was also a witch guarding the door. "That's the forbidden book, the book here is not allowed to students to watch in principle, if there is a special reason to use a certain book in it, it needs to be signed by the dean, and then the administrator takes it out of the forbidden book. ”
"What kind of book is inside, so mysterious?" Malfoy said dismissively.
"I haven't borrowed it, so I don't know. Gema said. "Just listen to people who have already graduated, there is everything you want in it. ”
The group took a few books, and when they returned to their places, Goyle and Crabbe had already borrowed from each other, and Sally walked behind them and inadvertently saw the Transfiguration work spread out on the table, and the content could be described as miserable. She wanted to give it a little more, but on second thought, with the academic level of those two, this kind of homework was reasonable. So he pursed his lips and said nothing. She found that Malfoy was thinking the same way as she was.
The two of them returned to their positions with a few books, but neither of them could calm down. Sally thought about doing late Parkinson's business, and she hesitated to ask Malfoy.
"What do you have to say?" asked Malfoy first.
"Hmmm... It's a little. Sally spoke. "Perhaps, do you know a girl named Pansy Parkinson?"
Malfoy thought for a moment and said with a frown on his face. "I have the impression that I heard my father talk about the Parkinsons' family, but the more prominent one in their family is their son, William Parkinson, who is said to be working in the Ministry of Magic and has a bright future. It's just that the two don't have much contact, so it's not clear. He asked, "What's wrong?" ”
"Nothing. Sally smiled. "There were some minor doubts, but they didn't matter. Let's take the books back, I'm a little hungry. ”
Malfoy looked at her, saw that she really didn't want to say anything, and said, "It's okay, Goyle and Crabbe are about to fall asleep too." I'm going to talk to my senior. ”
The four of them left the library and went to the dining room to have something to eat. Sally had something to do, so she parted with Malfoy and the others, and she went to the door of the Gryffindor common room on the sixth floor, wearing Slytherin clothes and not wanting to be treated very well here, but fortunately everyone knew that she was Harry's sister, so a boy agreed to help her call Harry.
She waited a few more moments, and saw Harry emerge from behind the portrait, followed by Ron.
"Sally. Harry asked, "Didn't Snape punish you excessively last night, did he?"
"No, Professor Snape just tutored me with my Potions homework. Sally said.
"I told you don't have to worry, Snape is known for protecting his house. Ron said. "Your brother is worried that you haven't slept all night. ”
"Shut up, Ron. Harry's face flushed slightly.
"Brother. Sally said, "I imagine you borrowing Hedwig, you know, the owl of the school still needs to apply, it's too much trouble." ”
"No problem, but what do you want Hedwig to do?" asked Harry curiously.
"I needed some ink, and I only brought two bottles of ink, which I didn't think was enough, let alone broke one. Sally shrugged and said.
"No problem, I just need some parchment too, so I'll just bring it back to you by the way. Harry said.
"That's great, by the way, I have a few titles here, I read them well, you can go to the library when you have time. Sally handed Harry the titles of a few books she had copied from the library. Harry took it and said, "I'm going to dinner with Ron, what about you?"
"I've eaten, you guys go, I'll go back to the lounge first. Sally said. The three of them walked together to the first floor and then separated. Sally returned to the dormitory, finished her homework, reviewed her homework, and looked at the books borrowed from the library with relish, feeling that life was infinitely beautiful.
Weeks passed on such uneventful and surprising days, until one day a notice was posted in the Slytherin common room that flying lessons were to begin on Thursday with the Gryffindor students.
Sally was looking forward to riding a magic broomstick, which was undoubtedly a must-have skill for her as a wizard, but on Wednesday afternoon, she was accidentally injured during Professor Quirrell's Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
It happened so quickly that no one reacted, and one of Papari unexpectedly awoke from a coma while Professor Quirrell was presenting him, ran to Sally's side, and scratched her leg with his claws. Paparly's speed was top-notch, and even if Professor Quirrell eventually subdued it, three students were accidentally injured, but the other two were caused by crashing into something else while dodging, except for Sally.
"I, I'm really, I'm sorry. In the infirmary, Professor Quirrell said with each finger of his hands crossed and said pitifully. "I, I think, probably the anesthesia, the anesthetic he had a problem, I, I gave enough of it, enough of it, to sleep for three days and three nights. ”
"I'm not complaining to you, Professor Quirrell. Sally said for the Nth time, he only wished he could stay away from her, the smell of his body was more unbearable than the wound on his leg.
"Stay away from her. Snape wore his massive black robes, and his brisk movement made his clothes scrunch. "Stay away from her. He said it again.
Professor Quirrell stepped back as if frightened. Snape stood in front of Sally's window, his back to her, facing Professor Quirrell.
"I, I didn't mean to. Professor Snape, I'm not, not intentionally harming your college, the students of your college. Professor Quirrell stammered even more.
"I think we'll find out why. Snape said coldly. The wand hidden in the cuff was held very tightly.
"I... I. "Professor Quirrell was about to say something, and Madam Pomfrey, the head nurse, came in. Sally couldn't help but shudder, she clearly remembered that she was doing it when she stopped the bleeding... Not very light.
"You're all leaving. Professors, if you don't want this innocent girl to suffer even more. Madam Pomfrey spoke very politely.
"I, I'll leave right away. Professor Quirrell said, glancing timidly at Snape.
Snape turned and looked at Sally condescendingly.
"You're a shame on Slytherin to be hurt by a low-level creature like Papari. Snape said. "But I'm going to give you leave until next Monday, and you'll stay in the infirmary and don't go anywhere. With that, he glanced at Professor Quirrell, and the two of them left together.
"Actually, it doesn't take that long at all, you can be discharged on Saturday. Madam Pomfrey said dissatisfied. "If it weren't for the slight poison on Papari's paws, you could have gone now. But it's useless to say anything, since the head of your college will let you stay until Monday, I'm afraid I'll have to let you stay until Monday. Madam Pomfrey handed her a bowl of medicine, which looked unpalatable. "Drink it now and get a good night's sleep. ”
