CHAPTER XIX

Mr. Dursley's family at 4 Privet Road sat at the dining table with his huge belly propped up, as usual, and read the newspaper of the day while sipping coffee in a graceful manner. Mr. Dursley's wife, Penny, was panning plates of bacon in the kitchen, and their son, Dali, a little boy with a belly no inferior to Mr. Dursley's, got up from his bedroom sleepily in a wide striped lounge suit, and sat down at the dining table without saying a word, waiting for his mother to bring the meal out of the kitchen.

No one knew that in the inconspicuous grocery room upstairs, there were two children sleeping sweetly. They huddled together on a bed of about one and a half meters, snuggling up to each other, until the cage owl let out a clear cry, and the boy opened his eyes leisurely.

"Good morning, Hedwig. Harry sat up and stepped off the bed. Sally rolled over and continued to sleep soundly.

"Is your damned sister still sleeping?" said Mr. Dursley, with no hint of displeasure or meanness in his tone.

"Too lazy like a pig. Aunt Penny said. Harry ignored their cynicism, in fact, he felt sorry for them, they never dared to say that in front of Sally.

Having taken some bacon from his plate and buttered the bread to return to the grocery room, Dali suddenly said, "Mom, I don't have enough bread to eat." ”

Harry glanced at the mountain of bread on Dali's plate and didn't speak.

"Just put down the bread and grab some bacon. Isn't your sister very capable, why can't she even get a few slices of bread?" said Penny almost immediately.

Hearing his mother's words, Dali jumped off the stool, strode over to Harry with his thick, clumsy legs, and snatched the plate from Harry's hand. Harry seemed accustomed to it, and returned to the room with the plate of bacon in it.

"Sally, get up and get something to eat. Harry called. Sally opened her eyes, yawned, looked at the plate in Harry's hand, and asked suspiciously, "That's all?"

"Uh... Maybe we've got some pie too. Harry said, ready to see if there was anything left. Sally stopped, "Yes, I've been letting it go for two or three days, come back and give it to Hedwig." She couldn't help but smile when she saw Hedwig jumping around in the cage, tore off a small piece of bacon, and walked to Hedwig's cage, where Hedwig happily ate the small piece of bacon and rubbed her fingers with her head affectionately.

"It likes you more than it likes me. Harry said with some depression. Sally couldn't help but laugh out loud at her brother's childish words.

"What's up to you today?" she sat back on her bed, eating the bacon on her plate.

"Uh... Maybe I can familiarize you with the neighborhood? After all, you've been here for a week. Harry suggested.

"A week, why has it only been a week... Sally couldn't help but sigh. "I feel like it's been a month. ”

"I know this very well. Harry said, taking a few more bites of bacon on his plate. "Maybe we should buy some Muggle food. ”

Sally didn't know where to get a lot of Muggle coins, which is why they're doing better with the Dursleys now. When she returned from school, Sally brought a lot of food from Hogwarts. Aunt Dursley was supposed to confiscate all of them, but Sally insisted that they were not in a position to confiscate their things, especially if they were not disturbed, and she said that if Aunt Dursley was determined to do so, she would consider calling 119 to deal with the matter. Apparently not wanting to make a big deal out of it, the Dursleys weighed it and confiscated their wands, robes, cauldrons, and Harry's broomsticks, leaving their belongings and textbooks behind.

Unlike Harry, Sally didn't have to stay here, but it was Professor McGonagall's request, and she saw Harry's situation here when she came, so she decided to stay.

They changed into Muggle clothes, Harry was still able to wear DalΓ's old clothes, and Sally only had the red dress that Miss Lucy had made for her before school. She didn't expect Aunt Petunia to buy her clothes, so she came back from buying a few clothes when she went out today. She tied her hair high and walked down with Harry.

The Dursleys were eating around the table and watching television. Seeing the Harry siblings, just as they were air, after Harry washed the dishes, Sally had been waiting in the living room for a long time.

"Let's go. Seeing Harry wipe his hands and come out, Sally also got up from the stool next to him and said.

"Where are you going?" said Uncle Dursley, who seemed to be watching the television all the time, his tiny eyes glancing at Sally from time to time, as if they were on the verge of an embankment.

"Go to the department store. Sally changed her shoes at the door and replied casually.

"Where did you get the money? Don't steal it. Aunt Petunia said with a sneer.

Sally changed her shoes and stood up, "I don't care about stealing this kind of thing for the time being, especially stealing your money, I'm afraid it will dirty my hands." With that, without waiting for them to speak, he closed the door and left.

β€œγ€‚γ€‚γ€‚ Harry had never dared to think that he would dare to speak to the Dursleys like this, and when he saw his sister like this, he suddenly felt a deep sense of defeat.

"You don't have to be frustrated. Sally apparently saw her brother's emotions and said. "You're different from me, I'm destined not to belong here, so I'm not afraid to fall out with them. But you're different, and I don't know why Headmaster Dumbledore insisted on you staying here, but I think he must have his reasons. Is it to take the bus here?"

The two went to the department store to buy some bread and biscuits, and Sally disapproved of buying too much fruit because it wouldn't last too long. Sally bought herself a few handy clothes and a suitable shirt for Harry, and despite Harry's repeated pushbacks, Sally felt that she hadn't given Harry a gift at Christmas (Harry gave her a nice quill pen). And the two have been haunting, and the two had lunch outside, and only returned home in the afternoon.

Aunt Petunia was surprised to see the bag they were carrying full of things. She knew that Sally was rich, but she didn't expect Sally to have so much money. As far as she knew, her sister didn't leave a penny for them.

The two of them went back to their rooms, ate some of the food they had bought, and then began to do their homework, and as soon as they spread out their books, they saw an owl fall on the windowsill.

"Uncle Dursley will not be able to stand it when he sees it. Harry walked over to the windowsill and removed the letter from its leg, leaving the plain black owl in Hedwig's cage, "You'd better rest here, I'll let you go when it gets dark." He looked at the envelope, which said Sally received, and he handed the letter to Sally. "It's your letter. ”

Sally took the letter, and at a glance saw the familiar handwriting on the letter, and she smiled "It's finally here, I thought he had forgotten." ”

"Who?" asked Harry, curious.

"Professor Snape. Sally smiled, opened the letter, and said after reading it. "Well, good, it looks like this owl belongs to me. ”

"You asked Professor Snape to buy you an owl?" said Harry, incredulously. "Is it Professor Snape from our Potions class?"

"Is there a second Professor Snape in the school?" asked Sally curiously, walking up to the owl and watching as the black, haughty owl took half of Hedwig's cage and jumped Hedwig up and down angrily.

"Be quiet, I promise to get it a new house soon, okay?" she tore off a bit of bread and fed it to Hedwig, and another bit to feed it to the plain black owl.

"Why did you ask Professor Snape to buy you an owl?" Harry still couldn't understand. "He even bought it for you. ”

"To be exact, this should be my Christmas present. She said.

"Did Snape buy gifts for everyone in Slytherin?" asked Harry.

"I don't think so. Sally said, "Maybe I'm the only one who asked for it, why are you making such a fuss, he lives very close to Diagon Alley, I just asked him to buy me a Christmas present, otherwise what chance do we have to go to Diagon Alley?"

Harry stopped talking, and he realized that what he understood as Snape and Sally understood Snape were two people entirely. He didn't know why Snape was so partial to Sally, who he knew was good at Transfiguration.

"Hmmm... Let's call you Les. She said, looking at the black owl. "In honor of the gift you gave me by Professor Snape. ”

β€œγ€‚γ€‚γ€‚ "Harry has nothing more to say.

A month passed without incident, and at the beginning of August, Sally decided to leave first.

"I'm going to see the stars. She said. "I've been promising the Dean for a long time. ”

"Are you coming back?" asked Harry.

"I don't know. Sally said, "It depends." ”

Harry couldn't bear Sally, and to be honest, thanks to Sally's company, his life here would not be so sad. But he also knew Sally's feelings for the orphanage, and he shouldn't stop it.

"Let's keep in touch, then. Harry said, "I'll let Hedwig look for you while the Dursleys aren't looking, and I'll let Les out in two days' time." ”

"Okay. Sally said, and then simply cleaned up and said goodbye to the Dursleys. Mr. and Mrs. Dursley actively bought her a train ticket, much to Sally's flattery.

"Stay in touch at all times. She spoke to Harry again, and stepped on the bus.

Seeing that the bus turned a corner and finally disappeared, Harry returned to 4 Privet Road, and seeing DalΓ's malicious expression, he knew that everything was back to before.

But with all the Muggle coins Sally had left him in his pocket, he wouldn't be hungry at least.
