130. The situation in the ocean is getting worse and worse

December 18th

The weather is unknown, no rain, light wind, cold temperature, south wind, detachment from ocean currents, no waves, dense fog

On the thirty-third day of the voyage, everything remained the same, unchanged. (Logbook)

The situation has been getting worse and worse in the past few days, but the weather has not changed, only the dense fog that has no end in sight.

I've come to wonder if we've entered the sea of mist, but we don't realize it.

The bad thing is the temperature, it's already winter at this time, let alone for so long, and I haven't seen a little sunshine. Even if the winter preparations had been made before, and all the sailors were issued cotton clothes, they still couldn't stop the bone-chilling cold.

Several of the sailors had been frozen to death, and were now lying quietly in the cabin shivering.

Not to mention whether they can reach the Sea of Mists smoothly now, if they don't see a little sunshine again, most of the crew may not be able to survive this winter.

Fortunately, I finally got out of the damn current today, but it didn't seem to be of much use, although I had been expecting to be able to get out of the current's traction, but what about after leaving? There were no islands, no ports, no cities, no places to provide repairs. Not even the sun could be seen, and as far as the eye could see, there was only an endless thick fog.

Yes, we are indeed out of the current, but under the thick fog, even if we can be sure of the correct course, what is the difference between such a situation and losing our course?

There is nothing special about today, so let's write it in my diary, and I hope that tomorrow everything will be better.

Oh, by the way, I suddenly remembered one thing, a very strange thing, today's fleet stopped on the sea for a while, and a few masters jumped directly into the sea, I don't know what to do, I only know that when they came back, they were holding a handful of black pearls in their hands, which was very beautiful.

Originally, it seemed to me that maybe these masters liked these strange things, or they just wanted to fish them out and sell them for money.

But I couldn't understand what they did later, and I saw them return to the officer's room with the black pearl in their hands.

I followed them inside, and I saw that they were grinding black pearls into powder, and then spilling the powder into the glass bottles, which was actually mixed with the black pungent liquid.

December 25th

The weather is unknown, no rain, no wind, the temperature is cold, no waves, fog

On the fortieth day of the voyage, the situation still did not improve today, and even worsened, the sea breeze completely dissipated, and the dense fog concentration became higher and higher, turning into heavy fog. Originally, there were still tens of meters of visibility, but this morning, only five meters of visibility remained. (Logbook)

Today is my Lord's birthday, but I am still adrift on the sea. For us voyagers, these ambitious adventurers, this is a very normal thing, and most of the festivals we don't catch up, whether it's family, friends, or even ourselves, we have long been accustomed to it.

I'm thinking about one thing right now, can the Lord really hear me when I'm praying to the Lord?

If he heard, then why were we still trapped in the fog? Not only did the situation not get better, it even worsened? For the first time, I began to doubt my faith, but I thought it was ridiculous to say it.

After all, I have never been a superstitious person, but I am a superstitious religious person.

Perhaps, just because the fog was so thick, that the Lord could not see us at all, let alone hear our prayers?

Just a week ago, we were celebrating that we had finally regained control of the boat and not have to rely on the currents.

But today, we are starting to miss the current.

Because, this morning, the sea breeze that was still blowing gently has completely disappeared.

When I found out about this, I thought it was just a delusion, because this is the sea, not the land. But even on land, unless it is inland, it is impossible to be completely free of wind.

However, the whole surface of the sea, like a mirror, was very calm, there was not a single wave, and the visibility of the two nearby ships that could be seen in the dense fog was now only visible from the deck. It seems like all this is telling me that the wind has really stopped.

Without the help of the sea breeze, the ship was like a firewood and grass vehicle on land that no one pushed, firmly grounded in place, completely unable to move.

The firewood and grass vehicles were parked on land because there was no one to push them, and the sailboats were parked on the sea, again without anyone to push them. The solution to this problem is very simple, and it is not difficult to get the sailors to paddle the long paddle.

But there is one thing that makes people despair.

When we woke up this morning, we found that we had lost contact with the fleet. It's not that there is a problem with the contact, it's that the fleet is scattered. After all, this fog was only discovered when we got up, and with a visibility of five meters, anything could happen all night, even if it hit the reef and sank.

While we were still in a state of confusion, we had no idea what was going on around the ship.

It was at this time that our ship came to a complete halt. No matter how hard you try to paddle the long paddle, because the situation of the boat is uncertain, and if you don't figure it out, it can't be solved by simply paddling.

All I remember was that we seemed to have come across something very hard, and the ship came to a halt without warning, and the inertia caused us to fall to the ground. People were very scared, not just sailors, and I found out that this scared group was even including me.

Even the Dharma Masters who I had placed their expectations on were even more panicked, and the few girls who were the only ones screamed and cried.

Thinking about it, whether they are Dharma masters or not, one thing I am very sure of is that they are all children, and the oldest is only seventeen years old.

Maybe it was a rock, at least that's what I thought at the time, I should say that I said it to myself.

I'm the captain of the ship, and whatever the sailors or passengers do, I must show some composure, or the ship will be destroyed in an instant.

Soon, the results of the inspection of the sailors came out, and since the visibility was very low, the sailors relied on ropes and looked little by little along the hull.

But as it turned out, I was wrong, and we didn't hit a rock, we hit a mountain.

A very flat and wide, boundless mountain wall stood squarely in front of the ship, nothing was touched under the ship, and the only damage to the whole ship was the first mast (the part where the front of the bow of the sail warship stands), the first mast had been completely broken, and even the foremast was affected to a certain extent. If there was no rope support, perhaps the first mast would have fallen into the water by this time, right?

Of course, the situation encountered by the ship was not only that, the hull was not particularly affected, and the damage was not serious, or even completely negligible. However, after inspecting the hull of the ship, a sailor returned to the deck to report that he had discovered a situation.

I remember him saying that there was something in the water, I don't know what it was, I just knew that it was swimming very fast, and I couldn't see it clearly from the bottom of the sea, and I could vaguely feel that it was shaped like a human being.
