Chapter 56: Amended
"Wake up, wake up!"
"Damn, it hurts..."Elluman lay on the ground, untold for how long, and the first thing he saw when he woke up was a hazy fog around him.
He had lost sensation in both legs, or to be exact, shattered to bones. Of course, the stone wolves that fell with him were also broken into pieces, and Eluman remembered that he didn't die because of the messy branches that grew along the cliff edge, as evidenced by the fact that his clothes were completely torn apart.
Bud covered his entire body, helping Eluman stop the blood spilling from his wounds and driving away some pesky poisonous insects. Extreme thirst, crippled legs, a confused head, and a harsh environment are about to become the second factor that kills Eluman. He took a deep breath and propped his body up with his hands, trembling in pain.
"Elluman, we have to get out of here. Bud said uneasily.
"Hmm. He looked at the cliff overhead, how high it was, he didn't know, but his instinct for survival told him that if he wanted to get out of here, he had to continue exploring in the opposite direction, and maybe he would be lucky enough to find a stream so that he wouldn't die of thirst for the time being.
There was a thick fog everywhere, and the ground was a little wet, as if it had just rained, and Eluman and Badxin climbed hard for a while, and finally saw a small puddle that was not deep. The water and the earth tasted particularly bitter, but Eluman couldn't manage it so much, and still held the water in his hand like a buffalo, and poured it into his mouth with a big gulp.
After a moment's respite, he continued to climb onto what appeared to be a high slope. The light in front of him grew darker, and he began to wonder if he had crawled into a cave. While he was still surveying his surroundings, a swarm of bats suddenly flew out and surrounded him, some clinging to his legs, licking at Ellumine's clotted blood clots over his wounds.
Vampire bats! Oh my God, how did you come across such a ghost! Eluman protected his head with one hand and drove away the bats at his legs with the other, and one of them rolled down the high slope unsteadily.
"Wow!", he seemed to roll into a pool of water.
The bats and the fog cleared, and the waterhole was located in a bottomless stalactite cave. The upside-down rocks hanging overhead resemble the fangs of a giant beast, flickering with horrible ripples in the sparkling waters of the pool.
"Coax, who's coming?" a voice echoed in the stalactite cave. The sound swirled around the cavern, turning from an initial thickness to a high-pitched sound. Bard slipped into Eluman's back and hid.
"Is there anyone?" Elluman didn't know whether to be happy or sad, if someone lived here, it would undoubtedly increase the probability of his escape, but if something else......
"Hello, little one. A flame erupted on the ground not far from Ellumin, illuminating the entire cavern. A large, ugly dragon head and a slender dragon neck covered in dark scales appeared in the light. The back half of its body was crushed under layers of boulders, unable to move, and a thick sharp arrow was stuck in its abdomen, and a trace of black dragon blood flowed out.
"Eat him, eat him!" The rock near the dragon's head suddenly cracked, and another dragon's head shook the gravel and appeared in Ellumina's sight, it was a black dragon with two heads!
The dragon head that had just appeared was missing a corner, and it looked smaller than the one that appeared before, and it stared at Elluman in the pool, opening and closing its bloody mouth slightly, and kept flowing out of thick juice: "It's too small, it's too small, it's not enough for me to stuff my teeth...... But it should taste a lot better than bats and bugs......"
"Be quiet, you stupid dragon who only knows how to eat!" the two-horned dragon slammed the missing dragon head to the side, "The guests are going to be frightened by you!"
"Are you a dragon, is this your cave?" Eloman shuddered and crawled out of the waterhole, leaning against the flames on the ground, his body soaking wet and almost eroded by the cold.
"As a human, you have the courage to talk to a dragon. ”
"I'm already a dying man, and there's nothing to fear, as you can see, my legs are completely gone, and I won't live long. Eluman pinched his thigh, but he didn't feel the slightest pain.
"I have to admit that you humans are quite tenacious, and I don't know how long I've been here since I was seriously injured...... Decades, or centuries? Every day these vampire bats would come and suck the blood from my wounds, and I would swallow some of them, and I survived. ”
"Yes, yes, they suck our blood, and we're going to eat them!" said the hornless faucet, and a lot of juice came out of the corners of his mouth.
"I see you're not lightly wounded, why don't you pull out that arrow yourself?
"We were already very weak when we came here, and pulling out the arrows would only attract more pesky bats. Black Dragon explained.
"You're not going to eat me?" Eluman was a little curious, "Who hurt you like this?"
"Eat you, no, no, we won't eat you, it's the monsters that the wizards created hurt me like this, they stole the secrets of the elements from our mother, and in turn tried to kill us. ”
"Mother, mother......" The head-headed head hung its head like a child, its nostrils were slightly open, and tears overflowed from the corners of its eyes. For the first time, Eluman had seen a dragon crying.
"By the way, little one, we don't seem to have introduced ourselves yet, my name is Tango, his name is Finch, what is your name?" said Tango, poking his head towards Elluman.
"My name is Eluman, the son of a human lord, I broke my legs when I fell off a cliff, anyway, my life is coming to an end, I might as well talk to you for a while. ”
"Maybe you don't have to die for a while, how about we make a deal?" Tango's pupils retracted, and his eyes sparkled.
"What deal?" Elluman had already expected in his heart that the black dragon must have something to ask for, otherwise he would not have wasted so much on himself.
"You have lost both legs, your life is short, we have been seriously injured in the abdomen, our bodies are crushed under the rubble, and we cannot move, why not sign an equal contract?"
"Sign a contract? Is it a two-way contract with humans? I don't agree!" Finch began to lose his temper when he heard that Tango was going to sign a contract with this disabled human.
"What is the content of the contract?" Eluman looked at Tango warily, he knew very little about the contract between dragons and humans.
"Finch and I will turn into energy bodies, lodge on you, and then you will take us out of here... Not... In return, your legs will return to their original state. Tango's head came closer, and his voice was seductive.
