41. Trinity
Holy Trinity.
The name sounded a little strange, but Ted had heard of it.
While the vast majority of people don't know the name, Ted happens to know.
According to popular interpretation, the Holy Trinity is the Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity, one Trinity. God is love, and God's nature is love. God the Father is the self-giver of this absolute love. The Son of God is the self-acceptance and reply of this absolute love. God's Holy Spirit is the self-unity of this absolute love.
This is the Holy Trinity.
However, the Holy Trinity that Ted knew was very different from this interpretation, and the Holy Trinity that he knew was not the interpretation of the Trinity.
It's a very old organization, one that can be called a secret organ.
Yes, the Hidden Mechanism.
This ancient organization is not an American organization, but a hidden organization that has spread all over the world, has intervened in the history of mankind several times, and has made contributions behind history.
In fact, Ted didn't know much about the Holy Trinity.
He knew about the Holy Trinity because his father had been a member of the Holy Trinity.
When Ted was young, his father told him about the Trinity, and his father was proud to tell him about one of the great deeds of the Trinity.
Assassinate Attila.
Who Attila is, it is estimated that there are not many people in the whole European who do not know.
The leader and emperor of the Huns in ancient Eurasia, Europeans called it the "whip of God".
He led two invasions of the Balkans, besieging Constantinople, and an expedition to Gaul, in present-day Orleans, France, before finally halting his westward march at the Battle of Chalon.
However, Attila invaded Italy and in 452 AD captured Ravenna, the capital of the Western Roman Empire at that time, and drove out Emperor Valentinian III, leaving the Western Roman Empire in name only.
From 448 to 450, the Hunnic Empire, under the leadership of Attila, reached its peak: from the Aral Sea in the east to the Atlantic coast in the west, from the Danube River in the south to the Baltic Sea in the north.
The vassal states in this vast area had their own kings and tribal chieftains, who paid tribute to Attila on weekdays and sent troops to fight in wartime.
After Attila's death, his empire quickly collapsed and disappeared, making him even more legendary in European history.
In Western Europe, he was seen as a symbol of brutality and plunder, but there are also historical accounts of him as a great emperor, especially in the Sagas texts of ancient Northern Europe.
So how did the great emperor die?
The most common explanation given by scholars comes from the writings of Priscus, which records that Attila died of asphyxiation in his sleep after his newlywed wedding to a young girl of Gothic or Burgundian origin, Edito, who ruptured a blood vessel in his sleep and suffered blood reflux.
This rupture of a blood vessel may have been caused by Attila drinking too much.
A conqueror who once said wildly that "the land trampled by the iron hooves of the Huns will not grow a single grass" died in this strange and anti-climactic way.
But in reality, such a statement is nothing more than a fool, and Attila's real death was assassinated by an assassin sent by the ancient organization of the Holy Trinity.
After Attila had conquered Italy, he crossed the Danube and returned to his palace, where he planned another attack on Constantinople to restore the tribute that the Byzantine Emperor Marcian had interrupted for three years.
This made the Byzantine emperor very angry.
All of Europe mourned under the iron hoof of this emperor.
It was under these circumstances that the Byzantine emperor united many European countries to find the ancient organization of the Holy Trinity, and then the Holy Trinity intervened and killed Attila.
However, this event cannot be written down in history.
After all, this matter is not glorious, if future generations know that so many countries in Europe could not defeat Attila, and as a result, they were killed by a Holy Trinity organization...... It's such a shame.
So the European countries joined forces to suppress the news and let the matter disappear from history.
The Holy Trinity Organization is not such a high-profile organization, they are a secret organization, and naturally they will not offend many European countries for this matter.
And so it ended.
After Attila's death, his empire quickly fell apart, and Europe was once again in the hands of Europeans.
The matter concerning the Holy Trinity is cut off.
When Ted heard his father talk about this when he was a child, he was still full of longing for the Holy Trinity, thinking that this ancient organization was so powerful, and how much he would be able to join the Holy Trinity Sect one day.
However, as he grew up, Ted soon discovered something.
The Holy Trinity organization or anything is a lie.
No matter how he looked through the history books, the historical books, and other allusions, he couldn't find the ancient organization of the Holy Trinity, as if they had never existed.
In Ted's opinion, if the ancient organization of the Holy Trinity really exists, there will always be some clues left.
It is absolutely impossible not to find even the slightest trace.
Unless the Holy Trinity does not exist.
Later, he asked his father if the Holy Trinity really existed.
His father told Ted that Trinity really exists, that he is a member of Trinity, and that Ted in the future will sooner or later inherit his father's identity and join Trinity and become a part of it.
However, when Ted asked his father how he could prove the existence of the Holy Trinity, he shook his head and said, "I have no way to prove the existence of the Holy Trinity." ”
From then on, Ted decided that the Trinity was a lie.
It's just a story my father told me.
My father is a member of the Holy Trinity Organization, and it is just a setting that he has added to himself, and the real Holy Trinity has never existed.
He was so convinced, and he was so determined until his father died.
However, today, now, a man who claims to be the Holy Trinity appears in front of him, which quickly awakens Ted's memories of the past.
"Seya, you go out first. Ted said.
Seya hesitated, nodded and walked out of the office.
Ted looked at each other and asked, "You really are the people of the Holy Trinity." ”
"Yes, we are the Holy Trinity. The man in black said.
"How do you prove yourself?"
"I don't have a way to prove myself. ”
"What do you mean?" Ted couldn't help but ask.
"We are the Holy Trinity, but we cannot prove the existence of the Holy Trinity, but we firmly believe that we are the Holy Trinity. The man in black said something rather complicated.
It reminded Ted of what his father had said to him, "What the hell does this mean?"
The man in black asked rhetorically, "What is the Holy Trinity in your eyes?"
