Chapter 16: Chase and Escape 1
'Bang. ’
The heavy corpse fell to the ground.
Ron looked at the corpse on the ground, and in the guy's left hand, he held a small stabbing sword, longer than the head of the dagger, and the blade of the sword had opened a bleeding groove, apparently specially used for sneak attacks.
He stooped down and pulled his sword out of the corpse's hand and stuck it at his waist.
Then he looked at Granger, only to find that the other party was covering his waist in a cold sweat, and a trace of blood was oozing out of it.
Frowning, Ron stepped forward to look at Granger's wounds.
"Are you alright?"
Taking a light breath, Granger tried to move his body, and the wound on his waist immediately splattered with blood.
He shook his head slightly, his face a little pale.
"I'm afraid I need to take a break. ”
Hearing Granger's answer, Ron looked left and right, pointed to the two militiamen who were about to join the battle, and said in a deep voice.
"You two, take him out for treatment immediately!"
"Yes, sir!"
The two militiamen, who were stopped by Ron, hurried over and helped Granger out of the battle circle.
Looking at Granger who was leaving, Ron's face sank.
The strength of the deserter was unexpectedly strong, and if he hadn't rushed to Granger immediately when he saw that Granger was in danger, then Granger would probably have died completely.
The task seems to be more complicated than expected.
His gaze swept across the battlefield, the bandits had almost been cleared, and despite their absolute numerical superiority, the situation was still not good.
The militia could only play a limited role in this kind of fighting, and the only ones who could withstand the attacks of these deserters were the knight and the two apprentice knights.
But judging from the current situation, even if two servants jointly attack a deserter, the odds of victory are not great, at most five or five.
"Six more people to kill one more!"
Shaking the crosssword in his hand, Ron quietly reached for the battle circle.
He may not be able to beat each other one-on-one with these strange deserters, but if they sneak attack, it will be difficult to say.
With the entangled influence of the servants, Ron is confident that with his current strength, he can completely kill another one by surprise.
However, just as he was looking for a suitable target and ready to strike, a deserter who was fighting Kaye and Del spotted him.
"Maas!Watch out, there's a little mouse here!!"
Hearing the sound of the warning, the deserter who had been selected by Ron to sneak attack the target roared sharply, and the long sword in his hand slashed towards the grappling with him.
'Bang!!'
There was a loud explosion of metal, and the other flew straight upside down from the captain of the team, Brando, and on the leather armor on his chest, there was a clear dent, as if the sternum had been broken.
Immediately, the deserter turned sharply to face Ron behind him, grinning and showing his snow-white teeth.
"Hey, hey, Best's little imp, do you think about how you died!?"
Unexpectedly, he was discovered just as he wanted to sneak attack, Ron was slightly stunned, and then ran away without thinking about it.
Just kidding, even Brando, who is good at defense, was knocked over by this guy, so with his current physical fitness, it is estimated that he will die in those two hits.
As if he hadn't expected Ron's reaction, the deserter was stunned, then a cruel smile appeared on his face, and then quickly chased after him.
"Damn cowards!, come on, fight with me!!"
The two chased and fled, and the speed was so fast that some militiamen who were harassing and attacking saw the direction in which the two were rushing over, and immediately dispersed automatically.
After fighting these deserters for so long, they gradually came to know that the strength of these so-called deserters was not something they could compete with at all.
If it weren't for the fact that most of the robbers had been dealt with, and there were still knight servants and two apprentice knights fighting, I am afraid they would have fled far away.
Ron didn't care about the militia's behavior, he understood that even if the militia intentionally blocked, it would only increase casualties, and it was better to dodge.
And the main thing is that he found the deserter chasing him behind him, I don't know if it was because of the armor or what speed was faintly slower than him.
"Damn little mouse, are you just going to run away!?Or are all Bests a coward worm like you!?"
The deserter behind him seemed to know that he couldn't match his speed, and kept motivating Ron with words, trying to force him to fight head-on.
But his language organization skills are too poor, and the repetition is only a few sentences, and there is nothing new at all.
Even as time goes by, the distance is getting farther and farther.
"Damn boy!!"
Seeing that words could not stimulate the other party, the deserter who was quickly chasing Ron bent down, picked up a fist-sized stone, and threw it at Ron's back as he ran.
'Whew!'
A soft whistl was accompanied by a white shadow that slammed past Ron's side and slammed into a small tree in the distance.
With a 'click', the little tree snapped at the waist.
This immediately made Ron break out in a cold sweat.
He had learned the throwing power of the other party before, and he had smashed him off his horse, but now, although it was not a short spear but a stone, he didn't want to take a blow or two.
As he ran, Ron looked back at the deserters behind him, who were now completely out of the circle of battle and were running towards the village.
But this guy seems to have identified him, and there is no sign of letting go at all.
Gritting his teeth, Ron jerked out the bayonet sword at his waist and shot it backwards, and then turned around a wooden house without looking at it.
'Tear!!'
A shrill voice came from behind him, followed by a muffled grunt and a low roar.
"You damn worm, I'm going to slaughter you!!"
Listening to the roar of the other party, Ron quickly walked around several wooden houses again without saying a word, hiding himself behind a haystack.
The rapid running made him feel a little out of breath and had to take a break.
Most of the people in the village had been killed by the robbers, and the corpses had been dumped outside, and there was silence all around, except for the strong smell of blood in the air.
Only the heavy sound of the deserter's footsteps not far away.
Under the cover of the haystack, Ron stole in the direction of the sound, where the deserter was covering his forehead and scanning his surroundings with a grim gaze.
The blood on his head stained half of his cheeks, and he looked extremely embarrassed.
"Boy, I've seen you, come out and fight me like a Bester man!!!Are you really just going to run away like a coward!!" shouted the deserter, whose eyes were bloodshot.
There was a tingling pain from the wound on his forehead, he had never thought that he would be injured like this by a little imp who looked to be only fifteen or sixteen years old, it was a shame.
After a pause, the deserter, who still found no movement, thrust the long sword in his hand back into the scabbard at his waist.
He bent down to pick up a few more rocks, then shot them in all directions.
'Bang Bang Bang'
The messy sound suddenly came, and the stone was thrown with great force and actually pierced the wall of the wooden house and shot directly into it.
