Volume 1 Kailin Town 011 Leah: The Hunter Returns

"Daddy?"

When Locke saw the man in front of the door with a bow and arrow in his hand, he first thought of his father. Because in the town, there is only one hunter in Dad.

"Locke, thank goodness!" the stranger pulled down his hat and hugged Locke.

"Mom!" Locke couldn't believe his eyes, "is that you, Mom?"

"It's me, kid..."

It turned out that the man in the hooded black cloak turned out to be his mother.

Locke could never have imagined that his gentle and virtuous mother would stand in front of him with a bow and arrows and a strange costume.

"There! in that room!"

Suddenly there was a roar outside the door,

"The barbarians are coming, Mom!" Locke tugged at his mother's hand, "Let's run!"

"Don't be afraid, there's a mother here!"

Leah's gentle eyes suddenly became fierce, and she turned to her feet, racking her bow and arrows, aiming at the barbarians rushing outside the door.

With a "whoosh", the arrows on the bow quickly flew out, and with the sound of spikes piercing the air, the barbarians in front fell in response.

"Mom..."

Locke was stunned, not only did he see his mother pick up the bow and arrow for the first time, but he also clearly saw that the arrow shot out was wrapped in a layer of crimson light!

The enemies were coming towards the thatched hut one after another, and Leah kept pumping and shooting arrows, and one by one the dark red arrows flew out, and more and more enemies fell.

Seeing that it was difficult to get closer, the mountain people began to keep their distance and make rhythmic "bluffs" sounds, as if to attract more accomplices.

"Leah!"

On the east side of the room, there was a shout.

"It's Daddy!" Locke could hear Daddy's voice clearly, "Mommy, Daddy asked me to wait for him here, he's coming!"

Lorna and Kyle arrived, and they staggered, not far away, looking at the hut and the bandits.

The mountain people gathered more and more, and they heard Lorna's voice, and prepared to change their target, and first deal with the two ordinary people who arrived.

With a knife that doesn't work, and Kyle is not healed, they have no fighting power to deal with the enemies who charge at them.

"Lorna!"

Leah yelled and walked out of the house. A sudden gust of wind swept around her body, faint but fast.

On her black cape, a dark red pattern faintly appeared, and Locke couldn't see it clearly, but he felt a magic force entwining his mother.

Leah pulled out all the arrows in her quiver and threw them into the air.

At the moment of the shot, the dozen or so arrows emitted a crimson light at the same time, spinning above Leah as if they had been cast a spell.

Locke was in the room, his eyes wide open, and he looked motionless, he couldn't believe that the "spellcaster" in front of him was actually his mother.

"Leah!" Lorna exerted all his strength, shouting his lover's name, and there seemed to be a little sadness in his tone.

When Leah heard this, she waved her right hand and pointed at the mountain man in front of her.

The crimson arrows instantly flew in the direction that Leah was pointing as if they had received a command, each hitting the enemy's vital point.

The mountain people retreated in fear, as if frightened by the woman in front of them.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Lorna and Kyle walked over.

"Daddy, Kyle!" Locke saw them approaching from inside the house and shouted at them, "Come in!"

However, Locke finds that Dad and Kyle don't seem to react much to his words, and their eyes keep looking at Mom.

Dad looks at Mom with sadness in his eyes, and Kyle looks at her with surprise and fear in his eyes.

"Get in, quick!" Leah's voice became cold and terrifying.

Lorna and Kyle hurried in, and Leah slowly backed away from the door.

The mountain people outside the door did not dare to attack for the time being, so they could only stare blankly.

Leah closed the door, and suddenly felt weak and collapsed on the floor.

"Leah!" Lorna hurriedly picked her up, "Are you alright, Leah?"

Only then did Locke realize that the mother in front of him, with blood-red eyes, nosebleeds, gasping for breath, seemed to be in pain.

"Mom," Locke's eyes filled with tears, and he seemed to be able to understand how much pain his mother had endured to protect himself.

"Locke—" Mom sat up weakly, letting Locke come closer.

"I'm here, Mommy—" Locke hurriedly stepped forward and crouched next to his mother, wiping his tears all the time.

Mom took off her black cloak and put it on Locke's body.

"Daddy gave you 'Tony' on your birthday, right?" Mom said weakly.

"Hmm," Locke nodded,

"Now my mother gave you this dress, although it doesn't look good, but it can protect you from the wind and rain..."

"Mom..."Locke couldn't help crying, he didn't know why his mother wanted to give clothes as gifts, but giving them to Locke at this time seemed to indicate something.

"Give it a name, okay?" Leah looked at Locke, who was wearing this slightly larger cape, sobbing incessantly...

"I don't know," Locke didn't seem to accept the fact, "Mommy, can you come up with a name for it later?"

"It's called 'Lori', okay?" Leah touched her son's head, with tears in her eyes, "Lo of Lona, Leah's Li, okay?"

"Not good!" Locke took his mother's hand, he knew what the name meant.

"Lock," Dad held back tears as he looked at his son, "be sure to take Lori with you, don't be snatched away by others, promise me." ”

"No, you're here, no one dares to snatch my gift!" Locke kept shaking his head, unwilling to say more, "Let's go, the bandits are outside!"

"This is a 'payout' paid to you in advance, young man. Lorna took out a dozen silver coins from his pocket and stuffed them into Locke's clothes, "With 'Tony' in the future, you must practice well, you know?"

"Fili—" Leah glanced at Aunt Fili, as if she was passing on something that had been said a long time ago.

"Yes, master—" Aunt Fili immediately understood, picked up Locke, and jumped into the boat outside the back door.

"No, let's go together!" Locke cried out to his mom and dad in the house.

"Kyle, I'm up to you," Lorna glanced at Kyle next to him, "remember what I said to you." ”

"Well, I know. Kyle burst into tears, "I'll find a way to keep Locke in Ace." ”

"Let's go. Lorna patted Kyle on the shoulder, "You'll be a good general!"

"Thank you—" Leah's blood-red eyes looked at Kyle, but her eyes were full of gratitude.

Kyle slowly propped himself up and jumped to the boat behind him.

"No, Daddy, let's go together! Mom!"

Locke was still crying, for the first time in twelve years he had been separated from his parents, and it seemed like goodbye.

Kyle knew what Lorna and Leah meant, and they tried to find a way to make their son live in a place free of war and turmoil, even if it was at the cost of his own life.

"Someone has run from the back of the house!" the mountain man on the shore began to agitate.

Kyle rowed hard, Aunt Fillie dragged Locke, and they slowly sailed away from the hut and down the river.

Some of the bandits chased along the shore, and some rushed into the thatched hut, where Locke's parents lived.

Suddenly, a huge, dark red tornado rolled up inside the house, sucking in all the bandits, including the men chasing the boat on the shore.

The tornado grew stronger, and the entire thatched house was destroyed, and it seemed to be manipulating, moving towards the center of the river.

"Mom, Daddy, don't go!" Lorna knew that the center of the tornado was his parents, and now, the wind was gradually disappearing under the water, taking all the mountain people with him.

At the place where the tornado entered the water, a huge whirlpool was formed, and Kyle rowed desperately to make the small boat, which could only sit three people, break free from the whirlpool as quickly as possible.

Locke was crying so hard that he couldn't even speak, and kept shouting at the whirlpool. Although Aunt Fili was also very sad, she still had to endure it and control Locke's emotions.

She tapped her hand at Locke's temple and said softly,

"You're going to rest, kid. ”

As if by magic, Locke fell asleep in an instant.

Kyle was still rowing desperately, but his back injury didn't seem to heal, and his face was in pain, and his arm was losing strength. Seeing that the boat was about to be sucked into the whirlpool, he was so exhausted that he even cut the wood pulp.

Suddenly, the whirlpool disappeared in an instant, and the river returned to calm.

This must be the last thing Lorna and Leah can do for their children.

Kyle finally breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't move as he spread out on the bow of the boat. Let the current quietly push the boat forward.

It's still night, and it's so quiet that you can't tell at all that you have just experienced a catastrophic war.

Aunt Fili lowered her head, hugged the sleeping Locke, and lifted his curly hair, revealing a young and fair face. She remained silent, just looking at Locke quietly.

"This kid... I haven't experienced the suffering of the world..."Aunt Fili seemed to be talking to herself, as if to Kyle, "As a result, the first catastrophe in my life is to be separated from my parents..."

"Aunt Fili," Kyle said as he paddled slowly, "your name is Fili, isn't it?"

"The name Fili was given to me by my master," replied Aunt Fili, stroking little Locke constantly.

"Your master... It's Leah, Locke's mother, right?"

Kyle had actually heard Fili refer to Leah as "master" when he was in the house, but he had to make sure he heard correctly.

"Yes," said Aunt Fili, "Locke's mother, Leah, is my master. ”

Leah looks noticeably much younger than Aunt Fili, and there is no master-servant relationship in Borderlands, and Aunt Fili will call Leah "master" unless...

"What the hell are you... What is it?" Kyle seemed to understand what it meant, the sixteen-year-old was extremely observant and analytical.

Aunt Fili looked up and looked at Kyle, as if she had a lot to say.
