Chapter 53: Christmas Gifts Are Textbooks
The party was over, and Benjamin called Draco aside as he left. Pen, fun, and www.biquge.info
"Benjamin, don't worry, I won't tell my father about the magic you used. Draco said before Benjamin could speak.
Benjamin looked at him in surprise, then smiled and said, "How do you know I'm here for this?" β
"Cut, aren't you just worried that you'll be exposed? To be honest, did you sneak into the forbidden section of the library, otherwise I haven't seen any of the magic you used. Draco was still naΓ―ve, and if he had waited until he was in the fifth or sixth year, he would have found out that the magic Benjamin was using didn't actually exist in his world.
Benjamin patted Draco on the shoulder and put away the wand he had hidden in his sleeve, he had wanted to cast an Oblivion Charm on Draco, but it didn't seem necessary now.
After returning home, Daphne and Duke only asked him if he was hurt, and then revealed the matter.
On the night Benjamin had agreed, he quietly walked out of his room, and then cautiously pushed open the door to the door of his manor.
And the goblin was not learning to meow, but jumped up to Benjamin to say hello.
"Your Excellency, I came on time at the time you agreed. Twitter bowed to Benjamin, and after he knew Benjamin's identity, his attitude towards Benjamin became more and more respectful.
Goblins are creatures that only think about profit, and they certainly want the people they follow to have better strength and background.
Benjamin looked at the goblin with satisfaction, because he was smart and cunning enough to fit Benjamin's criteria for employing people.
"It's good, I like my subordinates on time. The task I gave you was very simple, follow me to Hogwarts. Benjamin said as he stood in front of the iron gate of the manor, and a cold wind blew, making him unable to help but pull his cloak in.
"Hogwarts!" the goblin glanced at Benjamin, half-frightened, half-excited, before lowering his head.
"Yes, Your Excellency, as long as it is your request, I will obey it unconditionally. He thought about what happened to his stupid brother.
Corrosion! That's black magic!
Benjamin received a satisfactory reply, waved his hand, and let the goblin leave.
The twitter immediately disappeared before his eyes.
Benjamin wasn't at all worried about being stopped at Hogwarts. In fact, Hogwarts is not strict at all about foreign objects.
He could use magic to make it smaller and put it in his suitcase.
Another cold wind blew, and Benjamin sneezed hard, and then hurried back to his room, where there was a warm fire.
Of course, he'd heard Hermione say that their family used a machine called an air conditioner in the winter, which made heat.
Of course, it can also blow cold winds in the summer.
Benjamin thought it was a great invention at the time, and at least it would make some squibs that didn't have a warmth spell better.
In the last few days of his absence, Benjamin did not go anywhere, because Mrs. Ludwig said that the next time she saw Benjamin would be half a year later. When the time comes, she will definitely miss Benjamin.
"Mother, I'm just going to study, not to fight. Benjamin watched speechlessly as Daphne stuffed all sorts of things into his suitcase.
And Duke, he's gone out fishing, and yes, after returning from Malfoy Manor, Duke has fallen in love with fishing.
"Child, you don't understand, I'm thinking about you. You just went to your grandmother's house for one night, and you fell under the curse. β
Madame Ludwig, who seemed to be very strong to outsiders, always had her eyes unconsciously red and swollen every time she mentioned the curse.
"Alas, every time I think about it, my heart aches. Daphne said again, clutching her chest.
"It's alright, I've already started working on the curse now, I'm still in correspondence with Baron Friyan!" he told me that I might be able to analyze the source of the curse. Benjamin reassured that in fact, he hadn't made any progress after concluding that it was a curse from a unicorn.
No one around him knew about the creature.
Damn it!
Daphne's face was much better, and she slipped another robe in.
"Winters at Hogwarts are always so cold, you can play Quidditch a lot. Daphne asked, as if she had suddenly remembered something, "By the way, Benjamin, do you need us to buy you a broom?"
Benjamin shook his head, he didn't have much interest in Quidditch, and ruthlessly ignored Daphne's disappointed expression.
Benjamin, however, felt that he could use the broom as a Christmas present.
Yes, Benjamin did receive a lot of Christmas presents from owls, which were now placed in the corner of his room.
When Mrs. Ludwig saw this, she said proudly, "Benjamin is really popular in our family!"
These gifts don't have much in mind, though.
Pansy and Hermione, all they gave Benjamin were a box of chocolates, and they were all truffles.
Draco just gave him a greeting card, and then wrote on it that the gift would be given to him when he went to school.
A surprise? Benjamin hoped it wouldn't be a fright.
Frank's gift was probably the most special, as he gave Benjamin a set of secondary school textbooks after learning that he was interested in Muggle science.
That's right, when Benjamin tore open the package and saw textbooks ranging from literature to history, math to physics, his expression was about to go bad.
This gift is indeed ingenious!
But Benjamin's last three days were spent on this set of textbooks.
As for the gifts for his friends, he had most of them ready, leaving only Draco's.
"Mother, I'm going to send a broom to Draco. Benjamin felt that he still needed to have a few good friends (Benjamin would never admit it, he always understood good friends as servants who could be called at any time), at least to ensure that Draco could keep it a secret.
Daphne didn't look surprised at all, and she just agreed.
"Baby, don't let my position with your father affect your own socialization. Actually, I'd love for you and Draco to be friends. He was good enough among his peers. β
Daphne was an enlightened mother, Benjamin thought to himself.
Finally, when Benjamin came to stand, the suitcase behind him looked twice as large as the others.
And he was lucky enough to run into Hermione on the platform.
"Merry Christmas, Hermione!" Draco pulled a gift out of his suitcase and gave it to Hermione.
"A History of the Dark Arts! Oh my God, I haven't seen a book like this in the library, it's so cool, I mean, I don't even dare to read it in front of outsiders!" Hermione said excitedly.
