Chapter 7: Leaving Home
Harry glared at Draco, then placed Lockhart's entire set of books in Ginny's hand. Pen Γ fun Γ Pavilion www. ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ο½ γ info "You take it, I'll go buy another set myself." β
Draco immediately said, "Hey, Harry has a little girlfriend! But his vision is worse than yours, Benjamin, it's from the Weasleys!"
Ginny raised her fist, but did not dare to rush forward.
Benjamin patted Draco on the back with his hand, "Alright, you don't want to bully the little girl." β
Benjamin said speechlessly, and Draco snorted and left the Blotted bookstore with him.
Before leaving, he said to Benjamin very unafraid of death, "Mrs. Weasley must have hated Lockhart to death, and they won't have anything to eat for the next month for their son's teaching materials!"
Benjamin didn't really know much about the life of an ordinary wizarding family, and asked suspiciously, "How can they be so poor? Didn't they think about making Muggle money? I mean, for example, selling a little potion to Muggles." β
Draco, however, gave a sarcastic expression, "Benjamin, you must have gone to study music during the summer vacation, and your brain is confused! Our wizards' currency is not the same as Muggle's! Even if you make a meal of waste paper, what's the use!"
Benjamin himself muttered quietly, "Why doesn't the Ministry of Magic come up with an exchange mechanism?" In Benjamin's world, different countries still have a recognized set of exchange ratios, even if they have different currencies.
Of course, Benjamin had only gotten through the thought in his head, and he had at most a little sympathy for the Weasleys.
"Won't Madame Ludwig come to pick you up?" asked Draco as they reached the end of Diagon Alley. He'll be here waiting for his father's return.
"Probably not, she seems to have gone to Italy. It seems that I could only go back from the Muggle streets and then do the subway and taxis. β
However, Draco had a particularly frightened expression when he heard this. "Subway and taxis? Benjamin, you said it so calmly? Merlin's beard, you admired Muggle stuff so much. β
However, Benjamin was used to Draco's fuss about Muggles and Gryffindors, as well as Harry Potter, so he just shrugged silently and prepared to walk down the Muggle street at the other end of Diagon Alley.
"Wait, Benjamin!" was Hermione's voice, holding the book in her hand, and the Granger couple followed.
Draco moved himself into the shadows as far as he could, then shielded his eyes with his hands.
"Hermione, what's the matter?" said Benjamin.
Hermione hesitated for a moment before finding a suitable reason. "Well, just now, that was because I didn't tell Harry about it, so they were a little excited. β
Benjamin chuckled, "So that's it." Gryffindor and Slytherin, always so sensitive. Alright, Hermione, I'm going home. Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Granger. β
Soon, Benjamin left Diagon Alley after putting on a fairly normal Muggle coat.
When he went out, he ran into a familiar person.
It's just that when this man is dressed in very modern clothes, Benjamin almost doesn't recognize it.
In fact, Benjamin had clenched his wand under his clothes. However, he immediately reacted, judging from the current development, the man in front of him did not know himself.
True, Benjamin saw Mr. Mueller, Lucian's father.
It's just that this very traditional wizard is dressed in Muggle clothes, and he doesn't look uncomfortable, which makes Benjamin a little surprised.
Mueller seemed to notice Benjamin's gaze, and he turned his head and said to Benjamin, "Son, what are you looking at? Can't you find your parents?"
The moment Benjamin was stared at by him, his body was actually a little stiff, and he was very worried that this man had seen something, and the palm of his hand holding the wand at this time was already soaked with sweat.
"Sir, are you talking about me? I, I'm waiting for my father. Benjamin said with a pretended composure.
Mueller nodded and turned to leave.
At this time, Benjamin, who had almost relaxed, heard a familiar call.
"Benjamin! Hey, I'm here!"
That's right, across the street, a vigorous teenager is desperately waving to Benjamin. And next to him, standing were an amiable couple and an elderly man.
Benjamin had no idea that he would meet Frank here.
And Frank called out his name out loud, damn it!
Fortunately, Mr. MΓΌller had disappeared into the crowd, and Benjamin could only pray, but he did not hear.
Maybe he can comfort himself in another way, there are more people named Benjamin in the UK!
"Benjamin, I didn't expect to meet you here, I mean, you're on the street. Frank ran straight over after leaving his parents and grandmother behind.
"Why can't I go out into the streets? Do you think that all wizards stay in their cabins and don't want to go out?" said Benjamin mockingly, for some reason, and he was angry at the sight of Frank. If it weren't for the mistake of "Bloody Barrow", he wouldn't have anything to do with this idiot at all.
"Well, I thought so. You're here to buy something in Diagon Alley, right? I was stunned when I first came to Diagon Alley last year!" Frank continued excitedly.
Benjamin, however, had already hailed a taxi and said to a stunned Frank, "Alright, Frank, go ahead and be surprised!
When he got home, Mr. Ludwig was making tea in his blue and white porcelain teapot that had been flown in from the East. He didn't even lift his eyes when he heard Benjamin's voice.
"Everything, how is your Floo trip going?"
Benjamin paused, then chose to lie, "It's perfect, but it's so normal, who told me to be number one in my grade?"
"First grade?" said Mr. Ludwig, who almost overflowed his tea.
"Nothing, father. β
So much so, in the following time, the first grade became a joke at their family's dinner table.
"Look, it's an honor to praise my food for being the first in the grade!"
"Tomorrow is the day when the grade will go back to school for the first time, I can't bear it!"
So, when Benjamin got on the Hogwarts train, he felt that the air he breathed became less mean......
