Interlude: The Meeting of the Wind Lords

Above the distant clouds stands the realm of the wind element.

Strong winds and thunder dominate the landscape, and erratic currents and storms make it difficult to fly, even the most athletic eagles. However, there are no normal creatures here, as this is not the main material plane we are familiar with, and in the Elven language it is called Kogside, which in lingua franca is translated as Skycourt.

As a dimensional realm, the Sky Court naturally has its inhabitants, who are the wind elementals, energy beings made of air who rule the vast and lofty sky.

The Plane Lord Noff'Etheron has absolute dominion here, ruling over his people with the assistance of the Parliament and courtiers. Although he rarely shows his prowess, the imposing and majestic nature of Norver Azeron has made all the wind elementals awe-inspiring, and they respectfully call him the "Wind Emperor".

These seemingly gentle elemental beings have a strong sense of status, and if anyone dares to provoke, they will not mind summoning hurricanes and thunder to destroy those mortal civilizations.

The sun rises in the east, the morning fog fades, and when the earth returns to the embrace of the sun, the court of the sky also ushers in a new day.

As energy bodies, wind elementals obviously do not have a metabolism and do not need to rest, but they are happy to live a regular life like the mortal race. Therefore, they rise with the sun, rest with the sunset, and build houses and temples with special materials, the most prominent of which is the Throne of the Four Winds.

However, these five so-called "thrones" suspended in the sky are more wonderful and even comical than majestic or magnificent. Surrounded by swirling high-speed updrafts, they appear mysterious and ethereal, but if a mortal tries to stand on them, they will be torn to shreds in no time.

-

The Wind Emperor and his Council are "standing" on these transparent platforms, with the Nord Azeron in the center and the Wind Lords of the Council on small platforms in four directions.

The bodies of these elemental lords were condensed by countless powerful air currents, but each had a different shape:

The chilling wind of Chilez, Lord of the North Wind, was mixed with frost, and the ice blue and snow white intertwined his tall form.

The slender Zephyriture, the lord of the west wind, appears ethereal and pure, the soft breeze that makes up her form carries the rain and dew.

A roaring wind enveloped the East Wind Lord Galornado, his pale green body strong and oppressive.

The thunder and lightning in the storm were fused with Thunderash, the Lord of the South Wind, and countless blue-purple arcs of lightning pulsed within him.

The largest in the center of the throne is the Wind Emperor Nofer Azeron, the clear air flow swirling and settling, radiating strong wind pressure and invisible majesty.

-

Now, these huge air masses look like they're arguing about something.

"Such a thing cannot be allowed to happen," said the North Wind Lord Cherez's voice like frost, "The majesty of the firmament will not allow mortals to blaspheme. ”

"Have you forgotten the repulsion between the planes? Zephricher, Lord of the West Wind, spoke softly and tactfully, but it directly revealed the source of the contradiction, "If we appear on the main material plane, we will be greatly limited, and we will ...... at that time."

"You don't want to, Zephricher!" a deafening loud noise came from the east, it was Lord Glonado of the East Wind, "why talk this nonsense, to be so cowardly as to fear those mortals who are not worth mentioning! I would gladly crush them with their civilization!"

"The bitter north wind will support you, GLONARDO. Those mortals had not tasted cold and darkness for too long, and the loss of fear had made them grow in pride. ”

"At least I don't want the members of the Four Winds Council to change again......"

The calm and polite reminder of the Lord of the West Wind made the Lord of the East Wind furious.

"What did you say?!Why do you ...... cowardly worm?"

"Enough. "We don't have that much time to quarrel, and it is clear that going on blindly or missing the opportunity is not the solution to the problem at hand." Instead of wasting time here, what better can you do?"

The three Wind Lords all chose to remain silent, and suddenly the huge throne became more and more empty, leaving only the howling sound of a strong wind.

However, this silence did not last long, as the previously wait-and-see Lord of the South Wind, Sandresh, suddenly made his own point: "I think that there may be a way to solve this problem effectively, without us having to do it ourselves. ”

Hearing this, the eyes of Nofer Azeron and the other three Wind Lords were turned to the Lord of the South Wind, and even the air currents around the throne seemed to change direction as a result.

"The best way to deal with mortals is to use them themselves. Sandresh calmly recounted his plans, "I thought maybe we could send a messenger......

In the autumn of the 167th year of the Qingyue calendar, a religious organization called the Aeolus Sect suddenly sprung up in the northern part of the Tara Grassland. Relying on the traditional belief of the local population in the sky and wind, the church soon established a foothold in Nanfeng Village and continued to expand its reach.
