Chapter 50: Temporary Solution
The atmosphere suddenly became tense, and Benjamin was secretly observing Professor Snape. Pen Fun Pavilion wWw. ο½iqugeγ info He had a wild guess that Professor Snape should know something.
For example, the voice that only he and Harry could hear. (Not even Dumbledore nor Professors Snape, at least for now.)
Ron and Hermione both looked at Harry. They did come to the hallway because of Harry.
"Because-because-" Harry said, his heart pounding. He vaguely felt that if he told them that he had been led there by a disembodied voice that only he could hear, it would sound untenable. "Because we were tired and wanted to go to bed early. Harry said reluctantly.
"Skipping dinner?" said Snape, a smug smile flashing across his thin face, "I don't think the food the ghosts serve at the party is probably not suitable for the living." β
Draco nodded slightly, then whispered into Benjamin's ear, "I always thought Potter would be unlucky today. β
Benjamin laughed disapprovingly, and he and Draco were now in play-watching mode as if they had been completely forgotten. "Dumbledore was a big fan of Harry. β
"We're not hungry. Ron exclaimed, his stomach rumbling as he rattled. Hermione blushed and stamped her foot.
Snape's big smile was even more pronounced.
"My opinion is, Headmaster, Potter isn't exactly telling the truth. "We should probably revoke some of his privileges until he tells us what it is." Personally, I think it's best to let him go out of the Gryffindor Quidditch team and wait until he's honest. An honest kid like Benjamin deserves more praise than Potter. β
Benjamin, who was suddenly named, was stunned, and then laughed very reluctantly, he didn't think it was any good to be praised by Professor Snape in this regard.
"Honestly, Severus," Professor McGonagall snapped, "I see no reason why this kid should not be allowed to play. The cat wasn't hit in the head with a broomstick. And there is no evidence that Potter did anything wrong. Of course, Benjamin does deserve praise. β
Draco said to Benjamin with some unhappiness, "When did you get on such good terms with these professors? Is it because you're the first in your grade?"
Benjamin waved his hand lightly, "Actually, I don't want to." β
Dumbledore glanced at Harry with an inquiring eye. The gaze of his blazing blue eyes made Harry feel like he was being seen through.
"As long as you are not proven guilty, you are innocent, Severus. Dumbledore said firmly.
This sentence made Benjamin suddenly laugh, and in the dim light, Benjamin's smile looked a little cautious. He quietly jotted down the phrase, always thinking that he might use it later.
Snape looked annoyed.
Filch looked pained, "My cat is petrified!" He screamed, his eyes bulging outward. "I'd like to see someone punished! Since it wasn't Harry who did it, who is going to tell me who the killer is!"
"We can cure it, Filch. Dumbledore said patiently, "Lady Sprout recently got some mandrakes. Once they have grown and matured, I have a medicine that can bring Lady Loris back to life. β
"I'll make it," Lockhart interjected, "I've made it a hundred times, and I can dream and make a mandrake resurrection potionβ"
"I think he can only make potions when he is dreaming. Draco said harshly, and Benjamin nodded approvingly.
"I beg your pardon," Snape said coldly, "I think I'm the Potions teacher at this school. β
There was an awkward silence, most afraid of a sudden silence in the air.
"Mr. Ludwig, can you tell me why you are there? I noticed that you and Mr. Malfoy were not present at the party. β
Benjamin only hesitated for a moment, and he saw Ron smile gloatingly. Draco was a little uncomfortable, but he felt he couldn't embarrass Astoria, so he dragged his weak body over. β
Draco immediately covered his stomach, his already pale face making it sound believable.
"Well, Mr. Ludwig, for your honesty and impartiality, Slytherin 10 points. Dumbledore whispered. Then he turned to look at the crowd. "You can go. Be careful on the way back. β
Harry, they almost ran as fast as they could. When they reached the upper floor of Lockhart's office, they slipped into an empty classroom and gently closed the door. Harry narrowed his eyes at the faces of his two friends in the dark.
Benjamin and Draco also returned to the Slytherin common room, which was still brightly lit. The moment the two of them walked in, almost all of them looked at Benjamin and Draco.
They had apparently been waiting for them, but it gave Benjamin the illusion of heroic triumph.
Astoria and Daphne stood to the side, their eyes red, looking at the two boys with resentment.
Benjamin was uncomfortable with them, and whispered to Draco, "I'll go back and rest first." β
Benjamin, however, was pulled away by the curious Slytherins, many of whom were obviously particularly interested in the Chamber of Secrets and the Inheritors.
This was a bit of a surprise to Benjamin, who thought that most Slytherin knew about the lore of the Chamber of Secrets, and now it seems that only a few people do.
Like Draco, and that Slytherin senior.
The senior student looked at Benjamin with a gloomy face, and his burly figure would invisibly give people a lot of pressure.
It's just that in Benjamin's eyes, it's just a little kid who backfires and sulks.
Benjamin took the trouble to tell him and Draco the lie he had made up many times, and he saw Draco comforting Astoria with a grim face.
Eventually, after the lights went out in the break room, Benjamin was finally able to break free from the crowd, and it was the first time that Benjamin liked curfew so much.
As the night slowly seeps in through the window, Benjamin is lying on the bed, and Miss Skeleton is playing after Nana.
It was the lingering voice in his head.
Dangerous, yet full of seductive voices.
But why was it only him and Harry who could hear it? Benjamin always felt as if he had overlooked something.
