Extra: The bridge and the river

She is a pleasant and clear river, flowing slowly and lightly. Looking up at the blue sky, the white clouds, and smiling at the small flowers dotted on both sides of the river, how beautiful this world is, she can't help but play a hymn to the melody of Ding Dong. She loves the feeling of looking at the blue sky, no matter where she goes, she can always feel the gentle relative, follow her all the way, and never be lonely.

Hey, why did the sky above suddenly darken? It turned out that I was under the little green and dark bridge again. The bridge had been around for so long that I couldn't even remember when the creek had come and when it was almost submerged in moss. But one thing Xiaohe knew very well, she didn't like Xiaoqiao, because he blocked her view of the blue sky, and he was always so deep and dark, just like the boulders that made it up, as if there was endless sadness and sadness, which weighed Xiaohe breathlessly. So every time the river passed by, it sped up and flowed through at a rapid pace.

Finally one day, Xiaohe told her heart to the blue sky, and in order to help the river untie this knot, there was a huge wind and rain, and the river rose up and rushed towards the small bridge violently, again and again, wave after wave, and the dilapidated bridge finally couldn't resist the impact of the river and was crushed. I don't know why, at the moment when Xiaoqiao fell, Xiaohe didn't have a trace of happiness and satisfaction, but his heart ached faintly.

The days passed, although the small bridge has been broken, can no longer block the view of the small river, but every time the small river passes by the small bridge, he can't help but slow down, habitually looking around, without the small bridge, there seems to be something missing in life. Due to the collapse of the bridge, people on both sides of the river had to wade across the river, and every day countless pairs of large and small feet stepped across the river, completely breaking the tranquility of the river, and some feet were covered with dust and mud.

Xiaohe began to miss Xiaoqiao, and this heartfelt longing became deeper and deeper day by day. Exhausted by the people who came and went during the day, she could only sigh silently at night, and she was no longer in the mood to look at the blue sky and kiss the little flowers. Some of them were just remorse and sighs over and over again, so she prayed to heaven for the bridge to return to her.

At this moment, an auspicious cloud appeared in the sky, and sitting on the auspicious cloud was the Buddha that Xiaohe had always dreamed of. Xiaohe hurriedly confided his remorse to the Buddha and expressed his wishes. After hearing this, the Buddha said, "I'm sorry, I can't help you fulfill this wish, it's not that I don't want to help you, it's that I can't help you anymore." Xiaohe looked at the Buddha with kind eyes in confusion, and he couldn't believe that the Buddha who purified all living beings actually refused his request. The Buddha sighed lightly and said, "Let me tell you a story, a story of the infatuation of living beings." Xiaohe had a hunch that this story must be related to him, so he listened intently.

The Buddha said slowly: "I don't know how many years ago, there was a courtyard wall crawling full of morning glories, and there was a small petunia that was very naughty, and I always wanted to run outside the garden to enjoy the scenery." She worked hard to grow, and finally crossed the courtyard wall as she wished, and she was very happy, and it was getting brighter and brighter day by day. But she didn't know that the courtyard wall that supported her behind her fell in love with this unusual little flower, and had been silently supporting her weak body, but she had not been able to look back at him until she withered. He was not reconciled, so he prayed to the Buddha to let him meet her again after reincarnation. In the second life, the petunia was reincarnated as a small fish, and the Buddha fulfilled his wish to reincarnate him as the lake that nourished the small fish. The little fish grew happily in the lake, and he was so happy to see her swim happily, and the feeling of always hugging her softly made him very satisfied, and he knew that fish could not live without water, so he thought that she would stay in his arms forever and never leave again. But he was wrong, the little fish grew up and went to explore other worlds with the undercurrent, and he could only do it in a hurry. ”

The Buddha paused, glanced at Xiaohe, Xiaohe's heart was about to jump out, although he was full of questions, he didn't dare to ask easily. The Buddha sighed again, and then said, "I have never seen such an infatuated creature since I passed into this world, do you know how many times he prayed to me?" Xiaohe did not dare to answer, and the Buddha said as if to himself: "I can't bear to see him tortured like this again, but he just refuses to give up; this is the 500th time, the last time he came to me, I promised him to give him one last chance; this is the last time." The Buddha looked directly at the river and said, "I think you have understood that you are the petunias of the past, and the small bridge is the courtyard wall that silently supported you for a lifetime, loved you, and pursued you for 500 lifetimes." ”

Xiaohe's heart set off an uproar; one by one hidden undercurrents rolled rapidly, making her unable to breathe and think; I don't know when, a small jade bottle appeared in the Buddha's hand, and the Buddha said: "I came today to return things to you, and these are the tears he shed every time he came to beg me, and every time I collect a drop, there are a total of 499 tears in it, and these tears are for you, and they will be returned to you!" As he spoke, the Buddha threw the jade bottle to the river, and the jade bottle fell to the center of the river, and the tears in the bottle were scattered, making the heart of the river rise and about to burst. Suddenly, she saw the situation of each life, how he loved her, loved her, waited for her, rejoiced for her, and lost for her. It turned out that he was Lin in the previous life, her best friend, he always cared for her like a big brother and helped her without regrets;

When she and Feng had a quarrel and wanted to give up, he always dissuaded her and comforted her; Xiaohe was puzzled, and she mustered up the courage to ask the Buddha: "You say that he loves me, but why does he persuade me to reconcile with Feng instead of taking the opportunity to replace Feng?" The Buddha replied: "To tell you the truth, I also asked him the same question; he said: After hundreds of years of pursuit and understanding, he feels that his love for you has become an irresistible habit, and caring for you has become the only mission and responsibility in his heart." He loves you, but he doesn't want to possess you, but so that you can feel happier and happier. Do you know why he is willing to be reincarnated as a bridge for thousands of people to step on and ten thousand people to step on? ”

Xiaohe could no longer hold back the tears that ran wildly, and swelled again, desperately trying to lift the broken bridge with his tender body. The Buddha couldn't bear it either, and said, "Child, give up, it's useless for you to do this, look at the heart in his middle has been completely broken, no matter what you do, it won't help." Xiaohe whimpered and asked the Buddha, "Do I still have a chance to meet him??" The Buddha looked at her lovingly and said, "I'm afraid it won't work, he used all the chances of reincarnation to meet you, this is his last chance, he can't be reincarnated anymore!"

Xiaohe's trembling body caressed the broken bridge on the bank over and over again, and said softly: "Then I also choose not to be reincarnated and accompany him forever." The Buddha sighed lightly: "Why are you suffering, I just want to tell you, cherish what you have, don't wait until you lose it and then regret it; cherish the people you love, treat those who love you well, so that you can leave fewer regrets!!" Xiaohe said silently: I understand, I know what I should do.

The days flowed like this, like the river that snuggled on the small bridge and rippled like that. Finally tired of the daily hardships of crossing the river, the people decided to build a new bridge over the river. On the day when the decision was made, people were surprised to find that the river had suddenly dried up, and the abandoned bridge on the bank seemed to be as lively and shiny. Curious people walked over to find out, and it turned out that they didn't know when, the boulders were actually filled with river water, and the water was still gently rippling, as if smiling at people. So people treasured the boulder and gave him a nice name called water urchin agate.

Finally, the water and stone are always dependent on each other and will never be separated!!
