Chapter 11: Hogwarts and the Sorting House
The train gradually slows down.
"The train arrives at Hogwarts in five minutes, so please leave your luggage on board and we'll help you get it to school. The voice echoed through the train.
Kevin, Longbottom, and Granger had already changed into wizarding robes. The train stopped, and the little wizards shoved and shoved towards the exit.
Descending to a small, dark station, Kevin's cold night air made Kevin feel refreshed.
"First-year freshmen, first-year freshmen come to me, oh Harry, how are you?" a loud voice came from the front desk, and Kevin and the other little wizards walked in that direction.
I saw a huge body, pestle in front of the little wizards, as tall as two adults, strong and big. Kevin also heard a "Wow!"
Oh, half-giants?
"First-year freshmen come with me, oh, watch your step, follow me!" As the crowd walked forward, the little wizards stumbled in the dark night. If there were lights, someone would have noticed that Kevin's eyes had turned ice blue, and the night was as dark as day to him. All kinds of uses of magic, Kevin is like an arm.
I turned a corner and came to the edge of the lake.
"Wow~" It seemed that every student made this sound, and Kevin was also shocked by the sight in front of him.
A black lake, on the slope of the opposite shore of the lake, stands a majestic castle, with spires on the castle and windows twinkling under the starry sky.
"There are only four people in each boat, and you go up one by one. Hagrid pointed to a row of boats on the shore, wearing a hanging lamp that sparkled in the night.
Kevin gets on a boat with Neville, Hermione, and an Asian girl.
"Are you all seated?" Hagrid asked, "So, let's go!"
The boat immediately moved forward, cutting through the calm lake. Head towards the castle on the other side. The little wizards did not speak, staring silently at the old castle.
"Bow your head!" Hagrid reminded, making his way across the cliff to the docks.
The group then disembarked and followed the flow of people to the castle on the hill.
The young wizards followed Hagrid into the castle, ascended the stairs, and stopped at a gate where Professor McGonagall waited.
"First-year freshman Professor McGonagall!" Hagrid said.
"Thank you, Hagrid. I'll pick you up here. Hagrid nodded to Professor McGonagall and walked away.
Professor McGonagall looked at the young wizards and said, "Welcome to Hogwarts, where you will spend seven years of your studies. The opening party is about to begin, so first of all, you must decide which house you belong to. For the next seven years, you will begin your life as a unit. After saying that, he looked at the little wizards, and found that they were all listening, and then continued.
"The four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slyerjlin, each have their own glorious history and have produced many outstanding wizards. Any outstanding performance during your time in the House will be awarded extra points to the House, and if you violate the rules of the House, points will be deducted from the House. At the end of the year, the House score will determine which House will win the House Cup. No matter which house you are assigned to, I hope you can bring glory to your house. ”
After speaking, he led the little wizards towards the door. Four long, wide tables were lined up, and the tables were already filled with wizards of all grades.
Kevin followed the crowd inside, observing the Great Hall as he went, confirming the contents of the book.
"This ceiling is enchanted, I've seen it in Hogwarts, a piece of school history. Hermione's voice came from the front. Kevin smiled and walked forward.
At the front of the Great Hall, the professors sat on two sides, with the eldest sitting in the center seat, Dumbledore, and in front of them was a stool with a wizard's hat.
"Now, whoever I read will come up. With that, Professor McGonagall picked up the hat from her stool.
"Hannah Eber," a girl stepped forward and sat down on a stool! Professor McGonagall put her hat on her head for a moment.
"Hufflepuff!" the hat opened his face humanely!
Looks like this is the sorting ceremony, is that hat an alchemy product?," Kevin thought. Can't help but want to give it a try.
