Chapter 22: The Forbidden Forest and Unicorns
After returning to school at Christmas, the Quidditch season continued. Ravenclaw won Hufflepuff but lost to Slyerjrin. So, Gryffindor and Slyerin are back in the picture.
According to the school grapevine, the referee for this Quidditch match was replaced by Professor Snape. When Kevin heard Mike talk about this, he could already imagine the expressions on the faces of the Gryffindor team, and Professor Snape's hatred of Gryffindor was already known to the whole school. I guess the Gryffindor players are in a very low mood right now.
Kevin has been observing Professor Quirrell these days, and if it weren't for the fact that he cursed Harry Potter and the dark aura that Kevin perceived Professor Quirrell, Kevin would have thought that Professor Quirrell was a cowardly wizard. But the strange thing is that Professor Quirrell's own dark aura is not strong, but the dark aura on his head is thick, and most of the dark aura emitted by Professor Quirrell is emanating from his head. Kevin was very curious, the secret under Professor Quirrell's scarf, could it be that he also sealed the evil spirit on his body like a dark magician in the Elemental Continent? Kevin couldn't be sure, Professor Quirrell was the most difficult professor to follow except for Professor Trelawney, the professor of divination.
The Gryffindor twins, the Hogwarts pranksters, and the Weasley brothers, have been playing all sorts of pranks on Professor Quirrell lately. From chasing Professor Quirrell with a blister to smashing Professor Quirrell's scarf with a dung egg. Several times Kevin saw Professor Quirrell being chased and fleeing. Originally, he thought that Professor Quirrell would change his scarf, but he didn't, and went to class with a scarf that had been hit by a dung egg. The already garlic-filled classrooms were even more unbearable, and many students had to wear masks to class.
On this day, Kevin was teasing Darsil by the window, and since Kevin found out that Darsil would absorb a trace of elemental magic on his own while meditating, he intended to cultivate Darsil into a magician similar to the Elemental Continent. The magic envoys of the Elemental Continent know some low-level magic, and their wisdom is higher than that of pets such as owls in this world.
Mike returned to his dorm and brought Harry and Hermione, Neville, and Slyerin on the Malfoy Night Tour, and was not only deducted fifty points, but also punished for accompanying Hagrid on his tour of the Forbidden Forest. Kevin's heart moved when he listened, the Forbidden Forest has always been a place where Kevin wants to explore, but due to Dumbledore's warning, Kevin still postponed going to the Forbidden Forest until he was strong enough. Ravenclaw is not without a sense of adventure, but rationally refrains from setting foot in places that he knows are dangerous. At the very least, Kevin had already met several Ravenclaws who had gone out on a night out in the middle of the night.
This time, Harry's punishment was an opportunity for Kevin, Professor McGonagall would not take the student's life seriously, and he had a half-giant Hagrid with him. Kevin remembered the exact time and waited for them to go to the Forbidden Forest.
At nine o'clock that night, Kevin slipped out of the dorm room, and Mike and Terry had already gone to "sleep". Kevin made his way to the foyer with the illusion spell and the silent spell. Filch was already waiting there—and the little blonde boy Kevin had ever seen, probably Malfoy. After a few moments, Harry and Hermione, along with Neville, were in the foyer.
"Follow me!" Filch said, lighting a lamp and leading them out, Kevin not far away.
"I think you're going to have to think twice about breaking the school rules, aren't you, huh?" Filch's hoarse voice told him of the punishments he had fancied to intimidate Harry. Kevin followed behind and wanted to laugh when he heard it, which was used to scare Harry into scaring them.
The moonlight was bright, but the clouds kept coming to obscure the moon, which plunged Harry and the others into darkness (not to mention Kevin's pupils), and through the pitch-black field, the lighted windows of Hagrid's hut could be seen in the distance, and then a shout was heard in the distance.
"Is that you, Filch? Hurry up, I'm leaving. ”
Kevin saw Neville shivering and Malfoy in a daze. Hagrid, wearing his big black dog, walked towards Filch. He carried a huge bow on his back, and his quiver was full of arrows.
Hagrid spoke to them, and Filch turned back to the castle. They were about to set off, and Kevin was about to follow when Hagrid's big black dog suddenly roared in Kevin's direction. Hagrid observed for a moment, but found nothing, and then led the dog and Harry towards the Forbidden Forest.
They walked silently, and Kevin followed silently. Suddenly, Kevin found a pale blue blood on the dead leaves, which was a unicorn. Kevin had read in books that the blood of unicorns had a life-prolonging effect, but the blood of involuntary unicorns was poisonous, and the blood contained the curse of the purest life in the world. It seems that there are unicorns that are injured.
Hagrid and they parted in a forked path, Hagrid took Hermione and Neville to one way, Harry and Malfoy took Hagrid's big black dog to the other, Kevin weighed it and followed Harry.
As he walked, Kevin noticed that there was more and more blood on the road, and it seemed that Harry's luck was really good. Kevin carefully sensed his surroundings.
A breath of purity came from ahead, and Kevin's vision allowed him to see the dying unicorn and the black-robed man gnawing at its blood. Harry and Malfoy clearly saw it too.
The screams pierced the silence of the Forbidden Forest, and Malfoy, with the big black dog, stumbled away, leaving only Harry standing. The startled black-robed man floated up from the unicorn like a ghost and staggered towards Harry.........
