Chapter Seventy-Three: The Final Battle with the Basilisk (2)

Kevin walked down the silent hallway with his wand in hand, moonlight pouring in from the window, and Kevin's footsteps echoed through the hallway.

Although Kevin guessed that it was the basilisk that attacked the students, he still didn't know where the secret room was. One information flashed through Kevin's mind, and it was finally settled on Myrtle's washroom, because almost all the attacks were centered on the washroom, including Kevin and Hermione.

As soon as he decided on his target, Kevin immediately ran towards Myrtle's bathroom, the westernmost part of the entire castle, and it was still too late to run from here to the bathroom.

"Da-da-da

At this time, in Myrtle's bathroom, a passage was opened for the sink, and Harry and Jon were about to jump into it.

It turned out that they wanted to ask Lockhart for help, but they didn't expect to break the secret of Lockhart's usurpation of other people's stories with the Oblivion Charm. Then, the two worked together to coerce Lockhart to go with them to Myrtle's bathroom, and by mistake, Harry opened the entrance to the secret room.

Harry and Jon jumped into the passage, and they spun around the slimy pipe, and finally fell to the wet ground. Near them, Lockhart was rising from the ground, covered in slimy mud and pale as a ghost.

"We must have been miles below the school. Harry said, his voice echoing through the dark tunnel.

"Probably to the bottom of the lake. Ron said. He narrowed his eyes and surveyed the black, slimy walls around him.

Then, all three of them turned their eyes to the darkness ahead. "Fluorescent flicker!" Harry whispered a word to his wand, and it glowed again. "Let's go. He said to Ron and Lockhart. The feet of the three men clattered on the wet ground, making a loud noise.

It was so dark in the tunnel that they could only see a small area in front of them. The light of the wand reflected their shadows on the wet walls, looking like youkai.

"Remember," Harry whispered as they cautiously walked forward, "close your eyes as soon as there is any movement."

But the tunnel was as silent as a tomb, and they heard only an unexpected sound, a click, which turned out to be that Ron had stepped on a rat skull. Harry lowered his wand and looked at the ground, where he saw the bones of some critters everywhere.

"Harry, there's something there." Ron grabbed Harry's shoulders and said hoarsely.

The three of them stood still and stared. Harry saw the silhouette of a coiled behemoth, lying motionless on the other side of the tunnel.

Harry narrowed his eyes as small as he could, while still seeing. He slowly moved forward sideways, wand held high in his hand.

The light shone on a huge snakeskin, green and bright, and at first glance it looked like the skin of a poisonous snake, coiled around the floor of the tunnel, and the inside was empty. Apparently, the animal that had just shed this layer of skin was at least twenty feet long.

"Oh my God. Ron sighed weakly.

Suddenly, there was a movement behind them. It was Gilderoy Lockhart who went limp in his knee and collapsed.

"Get up. Ron said sternly, pointing his wand at Lockhart.

Lockhart stood up, and suddenly he lunged at Ron, knocking him to the ground.

Harry rushed forward, but it was too late. Lockhart stood up breathlessly, Ron wand in his hand, his characteristic smile on his face, and his sparkling teeth.

"Kids, this is the end of your adventure!" He said, "I'm going to take this leather to school, and tell them that I'm too late to save the girl, and that you lose your mind when you see her bloody body."

"Farewell to your memories!

Jon closed his eyes, his expression of despair revealed.

At this moment, Harry's reaction felt as if it had been wound up, and countless spells flashed through his mind.

"Curse stop!" Kevin used this spell many times, which impressed him so much that he subconsciously used it.

Lockhart's spell expires before he arrives, leaving Lockhart stunned. Harry took this opportunity to

"Faint!"

Maybe Lockhart is good at using memory magic, but when it comes to fighting, he's scum.

Lockhart was knocked against the stone wall by the force of the force, and he passed out, and the sound of the stone cracking was heard.

Harry used his arms to cover his head and ran, tripping over the coiled snakeskin and dodging the massive pieces of rubble that had crumbled from the tunnel ceiling to the ground. Then, he stood up and faced a thick wall of rubble alone.

Kevin ran as he scurried, and just as he was approaching Myrtle's bathroom, a loud noise came from the bathroom. Kevin sped up, and even used magic, teleporting two times in a row, into the bathroom.

He saw the passage in the sink and plunged into it without thinking. At the same time, the wand waved, and several levitation spells were cast, floating through the pipe.

When he floated out of the pipe, he saw Jon tugging at Lockhart's hair, and Lockhart seemed to be unconscious.

Jon was startled by the sound of Kevin stepping on the floor, and saw Kevin who surprised him.

He looked at Kevin in surprise and delight, and shouted,

"Kevin!"

Kevin smiled and raised his hand and waved, "Hey, Jung!"
