0105, the real Professor Lockhart

readx;

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor's office after dinner, Field and Professor Lockhart sat opposite each other at the coffee table, with a bottle of flame whiskey and a large jasper gourd on the table, and Field leisurely drank Professor Lockhart's treasured bottle of 1976 flame whiskey. Pen ~ Fun ~ Pavilion www.biquge.info After dinner today, Field took the Muggle editor's letter to Professor Lockhart and showed it, and told him that Magic TV would come to sign with him next month, and his novel would be made into a TV series, and starring him, and the TV station would invite him to be the host, these news made Lockhart very happy, and he must pull Field to open his treasure to celebrate, and Field took out the dragon's head mead and poured a glass for Professor Lockhart, of course, Field added a little spice to it. (Because Hagrid didn't want to see Professor Lockhart, all the professors in the school received mead from Hagrid, but he didn't drink it.) )

After drinking the spiced mead and the half bottle of Flame Whiskey, Field saw a real Professor Lockhart. He poured out his life like a bean.

Gilderoy Lockhart was born into a mixed-race family: a witch mother, a Muggle father (an actor), and two older sisters. He was the only child in his family who showed a talent for magic, and he was a smart, beautiful little boy who had the unbridled favor of his mother. This, coupled with his awareness of his status as a wizard different from his sisters, made vanity spread like a weed with the flower of evil, and it spread in his heart boundlessly.

Young Lockhart is accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but things are not as perfect as he and his mother had expected.

Somehow, Lockhart hadn't imagined that the school he was going to enter was filled with witches and wizards, many of whom were more awesome than himself. (In fact, the scene he expected to see himself at Hogwarts was the same as Harry Potter decades later: he walked down the hallway, surrounded by whispers of excitement about his magical powers.) And this scene did not happen to him, because every student who can enter Hogwarts will have a similar magic before entering the school. )

In Lockhart's own mind, he was already a true hero and genius, and he was shocked by the fact that he didn't want to see it: no one knew his name, his magical talent was commonplace for others, and no one was even impressed by his natural wavy blonde hair.

That's not to say Lockhart isn't talented. In fact, his teachers thought he was above average in intelligence and ability, and that with hard work, he might be able to make a career of his own, even if it didn't live up to the ambitions he had so much to offer among his classmates (Lockhart told everyone who would listen to him that he would make a Philosopher's Stone before graduating, then lead LinkedIn Grant to the Quidditch World Cup as captain and eventually become the youngest Minister of Magic in the UK)

Lockhart, who was assigned to Ravenclaw, quickly achieved good grades in his studies, but his natural "do it or don't" arrogance kept haunting him and making him increasingly dissatisfied with himself. Gradually, he used his talents for shortcuts and laziness. He studied diligently not to improve himself, but to earn himself attention, and he longed for various awards.

He lobbied the principal to start a school newspaper because nothing made him happier than seeing his name and photo printed.

He wasn't very popular, but he still achieved his primary goal through a few repeated, high-profile "feats": to make him known to everyone in the school:

He magically carved a celebrity's autograph at the Quidditch pitch, each letter twenty feet long (for which he was placed on school for a week), projected a huge, glittering portrait of himself into the sky in imitation of the Dark Magic mark, and sent himself eight hundred greeting cards every Valentine's Day (the owls gathered in the auditorium forced everyone to give up breakfast because too many feathers and droppings had fallen into the porridge).

Lockhart finally left Hogwarts, much to the relief of the teachers and school staff alike. But soon more and more of his deeds abroad became known, making his teachers feel that they might have mistaken him, for his devotion to the cause of eliminating all kinds of dangers and dark creatures in distant lands was a testament to his extraordinary courage and resilience.

The truth is, Lockhart has finally found his true career. He was never a bad wizard, he was just too lazy. He decided to focus his talents in one direction: memory magic. He perfected this intricate magic, then found a dozen great and brave wizards and witches, successfully altering their memories and stealing their heroic exploits. At the end of each "adventure", he returned home with a new book that richly and informatively recounted "his" heroic feats.

In the decade since graduating, Lockhart has achieved best-selling author status with a series of autobiographical books and a reputation as a world-class Defence Against the Dark Arts master. He even received the Order of Merlin of the Third Class and became an honorary member of the Anti-Black Arts League. His beauty, despite his claim to have "faded from the dust after the days of fighting werewolves and banshees, the battles of life and death, the bloody hand-to-hand combat", have won the Wizarding Weekly Award for the Most Charming Smile five times.

Last year he saw Hogwarts recruiting a Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, he was reluctant to come to the school to teach, rumors of the position being cursed had spread both inside and outside Hogwarts, although Professor Lockhart didn't believe this, he had a better choice, and his career was booming at the time.

It was then that he met Professor Dumbledore, who subtly hinted at how much fame he could bring to Harry Potter as a teacher, giving Lockhart an irresistible temptation. If it weren't for Harry's decoy hanging over Lockhart's head, he probably wouldn't have given up his thriving career and returned to Hogwarts

By the time he returned to teach, Lockhart's once-good magic had become so rusty that it was almost impossible to recover because it had not been used for many years. The only magic he still uses is the Amnesia Charm, which has become perfect over the years. As a result, his class quickly became child's play, and the students found that he was not as good as the book said he was. This was distressing for him, but this escape room basilisk attack saved him a lot of image, although he was only inadvertently swept to the wall by the basilisk's tail and broke a few ribs, but he still emphasized that when he saw the student being attacked, he wanted to stop the basilisk, and he was knocked unconscious by the basilisk after 300 rounds of fighting.

Anyway, Lockhart has decided to leave school as soon as the semester is over, and now that there are TV stations willing to make TV series for his book and can pursue his favorite career as an actor, there is nothing better than that.
