370. Twinkle

370. Twinkle

In the afternoon, Field and Rolf went to the Ancient Magic Script class together, and Professor Babling still appeared when the class bell rang, and the bell disappeared after class, and everyone was used to it.

Before dinner, Field wanted to go to Cedric and ask for a copy of "Advanced Potions Preparation", which they would only use in sixth grade, but he couldn't find anyone, and finally asked Cedric's friends to find out that because Cedric was 17 years old, he went to the Department of Magical Traffic with the others to take the apparition test.

Well, Field's teeth itched with jealousy, he had coveted this magic for a long time, but he was too old to learn it.

Depressed, Field descended the stairs to return to the Hufflepuff common room, but his stomach crumbled again. Reluctant to return to the auditorium, he had to run to the kitchen next door to find something to eat.

The way to the kitchen, which Field knew by heart, walked through the wide stone corridor, on either side of which hung a torch at intervals, and on which hung pictures of food.

Walking quickly to the end of the stone gallery, Field stopped in front of a picture of a large silver bowl full of fruit. Stretching out his index finger, he gently scratched the big green pear in the silver bowl. The pear squirmed, eating and laughing, and then turned into a big green doorknob. Field grabbed the doorknob, pulled it open, and walked inside.

"Dobby, are you there? do you have something to eat?" called out Field as he stepped through the door.

Then he saw more than a hundred house-elves looking at him at the four long tables corresponding to the four houses in the auditorium above.

"Hey, Richie, hey, Moby, how are you? Can you get me something to eat? I'm starving. Field said hello.

"Oh, Mr. Diggory, wait a minute, I'll get it for you, and Dobby is with Mr. Harry Potter. The house-elf named Moby said excitedly, then turned and ran away.

"Oh, Richie, Moby just said Harry Potter is here?" Field, curious.

"Yes, sir, he is in there, and his friends. Rich said excitedly.

"Oh, that's great, I'll go find them. Field walked inside.

It was the first time Field had stepped into the kitchen, and each time he had asked the house-elves to fetch him some food at the door.

The Hogwarts kitchen was huge, at least bigger than the Great Hall, and Field walked through the room with four long tables, each of the house-elves smiling and bowing to him along the way. From time to time, Field could call out some of them, and the excited house-elves wiped their noses with their clothes, a tea towel with the Hogwarts crest on it.

Field, led by Ritchie, walked through the room where the ingredients were prepared, and then came to an empty room. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and two house-elves were talking in front of the burning fireplace.

"Hey, hello everyone—" Field greeted with a smile.

"Mr. Diggory!" Dobby stood up and greeted Field happily, and the two knew each other well.

"Field, why are you here?" asked Hermione.

"It's normal for you to come hungry and look for something to eat, isn't it? Didn't Rolf and I always bring you something to eat when we were in the little club?" said Field, shrugging.

"Sir, I have a pumpkin pie and butter cake for you. At this time, Moby's voice came from behind.

"Oh, thank you so much, Moby, you saved my stomach. Field took the food Moby handed over and gulped it down.

"Who is this, Dobby, I don't think I've seen it before. Field asked, curiously looking at the other female house-elf.

"Oh, it's Twilight, sir, she's only been here for a week. Dobby introduced.

Field looked curiously at this unusual house-elf, yes, just different. Most of the house-elves in the Hogwarts kitchens are Hogwarts property, so they all wear uniform - the tea towel with the Hogwarts crest on it.

The only exception to this was Dobby, who, in his second year, was given to Harry by the Ministry of Magic's Department of Magical Creatures Management and Control. Dobby then stays in the Hogwarts kitchen, so Dobby is an employee of Hogwarts and wears his own clothes. I have to complain about Dobby's dressing style here, he likes to wear a yellow and red socks, and then children's shorts that resemble sportswear, because he is not used to wearing tops, so he wears a tie with a horse's hoof printed all year round. Dobby's hobby is collecting badges, and pinning them to his hat (which is actually a teapot thermos), so Field will get two badges for him when he has nothing to do. Isn't this now Dobby still having a badge of 'Potter stinking' on his head?

And now this house-elf named Twinkle is actually wearing clothes, so it seems that she is also a 'free body' like Dobby. However, she was much better dressed than Dobby, her top and skirt were neat, and she wore a beautiful blue hat with two big ears coming out of the hat. However, compared to Dobby, although the clothes are badly matched, they are very clean, and the shiny clothes are full of soup and oil, and there is even a burnt mark on the skirt.

Field swallowed a piece of cake and picked up the teapot on the table and poured himself a glass of milk, which was supposed to be the house-elf beckoning Harry to them earlier.

"Hello, Twilight. How much does Dumbledore pay you?" asked Field, who was a regular customer in the kitchen and therefore chatted with Dobby a lot. Dobby works in the Hogwarts kitchens and gets a gold Galleon a week and one day off a month. This is what Dobby 'earns' for himself, and Dumbledore was originally going to give it ten Galleons a week and a holiday every weekend. But Dobby doesn't agree, and although Dobby is an alternative among the house-elves, he still likes to work.

"Wow—" Suddenly, Twinkle cried out loud, scaring Field so much that he almost knocked over the silver plate containing the biscuits.

"What's wrong? is this?" asked Field, puzzled.

Hermione comforted Twilight as she explained to Field.

After Hermione finished explaining, Field learned that the house-elf named Twinkle was originally from the home of Mr. Barty Crouch, the head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation at the Ministry of Magic. And after the Quidditch World Cup, he was expelled from Mr. Crouch.

A flash of inspiration suddenly flashed in Field's head, he remembered that there was no flash in the movie, but no matter what, as a house-elf who had served the Crouch family since birth, it naturally knew about little Barty. Field was ready to find a breakthrough in it.

Field was thinking about his plans, and all the time behind them, they had been talking to Harry a little absent-mindedly. After a long time, when Field had eaten the last piece of pumpkin pie, they decided to leave.
