Chapter 21: The Killing Ritual

Gukua looked at Magellan as if he were a stranger he had met for the first time: "Your name?"

"Magellan. Pen %Fun %Pavilion www.biquge.info"

"Is there anything you can do?"

"Ritual. ”

"Ritual?"

"That's right, the four of us, perform the ceremony, and the noble lady can take the Book of the Sun and read a passage or something. ”

Gu Kua nodded: "How to proceed?"

"Duel. Weapons are not to be used until a person dies. How a man dies. ”

Gu Kua lowered his head and translated this sentence to the two warriors beside him in a deep voice.

Then they laughed.

"Good. We agreed, let's duele. ”

Magellan nodded: "Draw lots first, the four people are divided into one, two, three, four, the first two people fight first, and the winner and the third person play, so that the last person wins." ”

"Fair enough. Gukua showed a bloodthirsty smile, "You are a real man, I remember you." ”

"The last man to survive is going to bring my companion back to the expedition's camp unharmed. ”

"As it should be. ”

"Okay," Magellan looked around, and suddenly felt that the lights on the top were so dazzling, "you draw lots first, and I'll prepare." ”

He walked over to the countess.

"You were just talking to someone about how you would die, it's really ...... Impressed. ”

Magellan smiled: "When we fight, we read something, it's the kind of thing that makes people feel very powerful." ”

"I will," said the countess, with a hint of emotion for the first time, "thank you. ”

"My pleasure. ”

Magellan stepped aside, took off his upper clothes, and began to do the eighth set of broadcast gymnastics.

Well, yes, he was warming up, and as for why it was broadcast gymnastics, it was because he was absent-minded and involuntarily.

After making one last move, Magellan took a deep breath and returned to Gukua.

"You're the first. Gukua's expression was unnatural.

Magellan nodded.

"I'll trade with you, I'm the fourth. In the end, Gukua couldn't hold back and said this.

"No, rituals can't be cheated. ”

Gukua didn't say anything more, just nodded.

"Let's get started. ”

Magellan said, walking to the center of the arena.

A warrior patted Guqua on the shoulder and smiled as he stood across from Magellan.

"That's the degree. ”

The light shone brightly on the two of them, as if the sun were in the sky, and in this light, the countess cried out in a solemn voice: "Begin." ”

The lightning punch was easily dodged by Magellan, who shrank back and rested his right shoulder on his chest, knocking him to the ground.

Nadu roared and straightened up to get up, but Magellan flew up and pressed a hand on Nadu's face, slamming the back of his head to the ground.

He fainted.

Magellan lowered his head and looked at this young and unfamiliar face.

"I remember you. He said in his heart.

Magellan let out a cry and grabbed Nadu's head and slammed it on the floor.

Dark red blood spread on the ground, and he died.

Magellan raised his head like a lion from the throat of a bull. He glanced down at the corpse that had been reduced to bones like time had accelerated, and stepped aside.

Gukua and another warrior walked over to the bones, knelt down and wept silently.

Magellan took a bottle of water out of his pocket, put sugar and salt in it, and drank it quietly. He was sweating profusely, and his hand holding the water bottle was shaking.

"Next one. ”

The countess had given Magellan just the right amount of time, and if he had been any longer, he would have lost the strength to fight because of his laxity.

Nadu's body had turned to dust, and the new warrior stood where he had lost his life.

"Daou. ”

"Let's go. ”

Daou threw two punches aimed at Magellan's head from left to right, Magellan ducked and then lifted his knee.

It was as if Magellan had put his face up on his own, but he dodged the blow by hunching over and jumping back before being hit.

Dawu was not discouraged, he was tall, with long hands and long feet, and he carried out continuous attacks almost without intervals, bringing a gust of wind.

And Magellan, who was opposite him, kept dodging in a strange posture. He bent down and lowered his center of gravity, dodging Daou's attacks on his hands and feet like a monkey.

Daou quickly saw through Magellan's intentions: he wanted to disrupt Dau's pace.

But Daou found that there was nothing he could do about it, and soon abandoned his efforts to sabotage Magellan's plan. This was his last battle, and he could give everything, including his life, for victory, so he chose the safest way.

Magellan found that Daou quickly abandoned his futile attacks in favor of a conservative style of play, relying on the advantage of his reach to counter his agility. This turned Magellan's monkey-like maneuver into an antics performance, and if he continued to do so, it would be a futile waste of energy.

Magellan began to approach Dau, and he used his nimbly dodge to dodge Dau's powerful attacks, leaving scars on the latter's body.

But it was clear that the injuries had bothered Daou not even enough to keep up with his fatigue.

The two men waited for each other to take the bait as if they were fishing, and at the same time tried to make it look like they had bitten the hook.

Until the last moment, Magellan moved first.

He rushed straight in front of Dawu and punched Dawu in the chin.

It was the opportunity that Daou had been waiting for, with a smile on his face when he was hit and unconscious.

Magellan's left rib was hit by Daou's right punch, a punch that broke at least three ribs. He let out a roar of pain, using the last of his strength, and slammed his fist into Dau's Adam's apple.

Guqua walked over and took a necklace of animal teeth from Dau's white bones, he glanced at Magellan, who was lying on the ground in a cold sweat, and walked away in silence.

Magellan's eyes shimmered pale gold, and he knew that he had to do something, otherwise his strength would be exhausted, and the result would only be that the ritual could not be completed, and everyone would become puppets of the evil god together.

He struggled to make himself angry, and Magellan knew that anger could boost adrenaline, the simplest and most effective way to relieve pain in nature. He began to recall the duel with Daou just now.

Magellan was tricked. Daou used an unsolvable ruse, and he traded one of his lives for Magellan's injury. Magellan used the most economical way and the most prudent trick to expose Daou's flaws, but in the end it was he who fell into the trap.

Thinking about all this, Magellan felt the sharp pain in his left rib move away from him. His sanity was returning, his brain was working, the flow of information was overshadowing the electronic signals of pain, and he felt like he still had the strength to fight.
