The end of the long-lost volume

The me before writing this volume, and the me after it, are two very different people, at least as one writes, it is.

Before that, I was hesitant to remove the ancient Chinese background that contained too many ideas, but then, I decided to complete the expedition of the four ancient civilizations, so I put it back in.

Most of my previous hesitation came from the huge difference between this plot and most of the plot, to be honest, most of us can't tell the difference between Brittania based on England and Theros based on ancient Greece, they will be collectively referred to as "foreign" or "Western", and the dragon country based on ancient China is different, everyone can see it.

Then I started writing, and it was like riding a roller coaster, going downhill and not stopping.

Until the death of the emperor, I was in a state that was comparable to that of the second volume, and although I didn't close my eyes every night and start dreaming, repeating the plot over and over again, as soon as I started writing, I knew exactly what I wanted, what I was doing, everything was under control, and then later, I completely lost my sense of speech in the middle of the day.

I don't know if the second half counts as a passing grade, but I'm not satisfied with it myself.

Anticlimactic, this is one of the most disgusting failures in the world.

But this volume was an unexpected surprise after all, and I am grateful to the readers who have supported me until now.

Before I started this book, I knew that if I want to maintain my pen strength, or even go further, insisting on writing is the easiest and most effective way, and I dare say that this is definitely not the easiest way, but fortunately, there are readers, I persevered.

I had conceived the structure and background of the plot long before the volume began, and even the white boy and the climactic passage, and everything went incredibly well, and I knew that it came from my obsession with martial arts for a long time in the past.

I would never write about martial arts.

In essence, it seems to me that a group of non-ordinary people who have the ability to enforce justice but have no ability to help develop the productive forces is a joke.

Yes, I'm a die-hard Marxist, of course, in essence I should be called a money junkie, or better sound, an economic determinist.

I can't accept that people with more abilities than ordinary people don't do what really matters, don't think of ways to make everyone's lives better, and if I write martial arts, the protagonist will definitely get involved in politics, or become a cynical murderer.

But in an ethereal fantasy world, I barely had any trouble.

Of course, the protagonist does seem cynical and has also become a murderer, eh......

I've conceived countless martial arts plots, and now they all seem ridiculous, because it wasn't until I started writing this book that many of my ideas matured.

That lot of ideas eventually evolved, merged, and became this volume.

The overall story structure of this volume is an idea that I have been thinking about for a long time, but has just matured: the protagonist is caught in a huge conspiracy, and accidentally becomes the core of the whirlpool, so in the midst of the danger of multiple parties, the protagonist struggles to move forward, and finally the conspiracy is revealed, the big event is solved, and the protagonist also draws an end to everything after an epic showdown.

Perfect.

A really good structure is one that has a geometric aesthetic, like the symmetrical structure of Infernal Affairs, one of my favorite movies.

This volume, at least before and after the emperor's death, conforms to the structure that was previously preconceived.

- Of course, I don't dare to say whether it collapsed or not, anyway, I don't have confidence myself.

In fact, in order to maintain the realism and structural stability of a completely fictional world, I almost shamelessly copied history, which is also the reason why the protagonist's whole tone became colder, and in that historical period, ancient China was not good.

Of course, the existence of the hundred schools of thought is completely fictional, I don't like Confucianism at all, and I don't like science, it doesn't matter if there is history or not, I don't allow them to appear, and if they do, they are also villains.

In this volume, there are far more characters than in any other volume, and I honestly admit that it was simply the Chinese name that cured my naming weakness. Foreigner names are so hard to come up with, it's almost like death, compared to Chinese names, Chinese names are not too simple, and I can even play a little game of multiple words per person.

The character of Bai Gongzi is the female character I have always wanted, strictly speaking, she is even the predecessor of Countess Helen, which is why the countess does not appear at all in this volume.

I've always wanted an independent, mature female character who lives in the world of martial arts, and of course, in the shadow of the overall background, Bai Gongzi seems depressed, so in the end I made her a character like the emperor in Warhammer 40k.

In my opinion, Mo Yi's portrayal was a failure, I originally hoped that he would become a manly man like Xiao Feng, but he turned out to be a loser who did nothing in the tide of history.

Xiang Wu is a surprise, and so is Wang Baobao, the two of them do not have historical prototypes, but they have a relatively complete image.

Of course, there are many other history-related memes, strictly speaking, there are many complaints, as many loopholes as a sieve, and the readers can just laugh it off.

The existence of Nuwa is quite weak, because strictly speaking, China has no gods, the worshiped three emperors and five emperors Fuxi Nuwa are actually the ancestors of civilization, Chinese respect the ancestors of heaven and law, I don't recognize foreign devils Chinese have no faith anyway, for thousands of years, China has talked about "national affairs, only worship and Rong".

The relationship between Nuwa and the maelstrom is a sudden idea, which is more graphic for me.

The next volume, which will be the last one before the final volume, is starting to come to an end, so I hope I can stick to it......
