Chapter 40: Anthony

"Huh?" Luna pauses in her footsteps and turns sharply to look at the male cub in the lead, her eyes inquiring.

"Your Highness, don't go any further!" Liya stopped Luna with a brisk walk, tensing up a little nervously, and whispered.

She has known since she was a child that these cubs who wander on the streets all the year round are very fierce because of their difficult lives, and even adult orcs may suffer some small losses against some of the bad ones, and if Luna really turns back, I am afraid that if one of them is not good, she will be injured.

Luna tilted her head a little unwillingly when she heard this, and wanted to look at the little orc who bared her teeth again, but was quickly stopped by Liya.

When she raised her head helplessly and wanted to order Liya to get out of the way, it was Liya's uneasy, but unusually determined eyes.

This is the first time Luna has seen such a Lea.

Thinking of the timidity of this little rabbit on weekdays, Luna opened her mouth, but she didn't want to embarrass Liya, who was rarely brave, for the sake of a strange wandering little orc, so she didn't force it anymore.

"What's wrong?" asked Gout as Luna walked over as she looked at Lea and turned around, but her eyes were on Leah.

Hearing this, Liya immediately staggered and stood up, shaking her head a little awkwardly.

Luna looked at Riya, then at Gotte, rubbing her swollen head, and when the paw was raised, she realized that her hand had already become a claw, so she had to take it back again, looked at Gote and asked:

"Teacher, can you tell what race of orcs those two little orcs who have been transformed?"

"Can't tell. Even the little hedgehog, if it weren't for the fact that he hadn't been transformed, would have been hard for me to distinguish by smell alone. "Gotte is telling the truth, those three little ones are too dirty, and the smell is so messy and pungent, where is so easy to tell.

Luna was silent and looked back at the gap, only to find that the figures of the three orcs had disappeared at some point.

Although she knew that when she was threatened or displeased, the orcs who could bare their teeth were not just wolf beasts, but she inexplicably felt that the little orc's teeth were very familiar to her, just like the way the young guards in the castle fought with each other on weekdays.

"Gee, my little Luna is so kind. Don't pity those three, there is a nursing home in the city, and they don't want to live in it, so they have to run out into the streets, who is to blame?"

Hearing the three words of the nursing home, Liya's brows frowned slightly, but she didn't speak, after all, there were some things she had only heard and had never seen with her own eyes.

"If you're worried about those three little ones, you can ask your uncle to send them to a nursing home. Gotte thought for a moment and looked at Luna and suggested.

Luna was stunned when she heard this, although it was the first time she had heard of the nursing home, it was not difficult to understand, but the question was, if that place was really good, would those three children run out on the street like this?

If you don't eat or drink, and you are hungry and have a full meal, will it be better to live a better life than someone who controls you, but you can barely sustain three meals and have a tile to cover your body?

Luna doesn't think so, which only means that the nursing home is not a good place to go.

Thinking of this, she looked at Gotte, then at Samuel, and then at the three little orcs just now, then shook her head and said, "Teacher, let's get out of the city quickly!

"It's fine. Then let Liya go back, and we will meet at the city gate. Gotte didn't say anything more about Luna's decision, nodded, looked at the box of malt that was tied with a rope by Liya and carried in her hand with a little regret, and took the lead in the direction of the outside of the city again.

After the group walked away, three small heads poked out of the gap again.

"What is Brother Anton looking at?" asked the only little female, the only of the three, looking up at the eldest male, as she brought a small piece of bread to Anthony's mouth.

"Eat, I'm not hungry. The cub just now, and the male who didn't get close, were all wolf beasts. Anthony stared at the group walking away, as if talking to himself.

"Brother, don't look at it, it's very dangerous, if they find out, you will be beaten again. The little hedgehog instinctively felt that the wolf beast was dangerous, and couldn't help but shrink his neck and said.

"Brother eats. The wolf beasts are all nobles and very fierce, don't go any further, please......"

The little female looked at the little male who had been protecting them recently, still stubbornly holding the small piece of bread to his lips, looking at Anthony's eyes full of apprehension and anxiety, but there were no tears, and the difficult life had long made her understand the uselessness of tears.

She had recently found out more than once that Brother Anton wanted to enter the rich area, but every time he sneaked over and walked not too far, he would be discovered by the governors who patrolled the city, beaten and thrown into the stinky ditch.

She hadn't seen Anthony's beast form, and she couldn't tell what kind of orc Anthony was.

But her instinct told her that if Anthony managed to enter the rich area one day, she was afraid that she would never come back.

For the first time in her life, she was terrified by the possibility of a person leaving.

Anthony pressed the little female's hand holding the bread, pursed his lips, and looked at the orcs who were getting away, but his eyes flashed with deep unwillingness.

He wanted to find that person so much, and ask all the infatuation and unwillingness of his mother before she died.

It doesn't matter if that person doesn't recognize him as an illegitimate child at all, he just wants to tell that person how much suffering and how much sin his mother suffered when she gave birth to him alone.

He wants to tell his mother's resentment, his mother's love and hatred, all to that person, and the group that goes far away is his best opportunity.

But......

Turning his head to two pairs of eyes that flashed with deep concern, Anthony hesitated again.

He knew that such an opportunity was fleeting, since he was a child, he had seen too many or indifferent, or disgusted faces, and there were too few rich people who could personally send food to wandering cubs like them, but he didn't dare to really leave the two little friends around him, and the scene of the first meeting of the three of them made him ruthless?

"Are you willing to take another risk with me? I know that's a bit too much. But I also have to do things. Anthony's eyes flashed with struggle, he knew that once the danger of these two happened, he was afraid that it would be a problem to escape, but with such a good opportunity, how could he be willing, how could he be worthy of his dead mother?

"Brother, I, I'm afraid of ......" Looking at Anthony's solemn appearance, the little hedgehog instinctively shrunk his round body, as if he could be gathered into a thorn ball at any time.

The little female looked at Anthony for a moment of silence, then looked at Luna and her party, who were about to disappear in the crowd, and finally gritted her teeth and said, "Okay, let's go with my brother, but Brother Anton also has to promise that if it doesn't work this time, let's leave the royal city and go to the place you said, okay?"

Seeing the fear flashing in the little female's eyes, Anthony looked back in the direction of the rich area, pursed his lips and nodded vigorously, secretly ruthless in his heart, this time he had successfully attracted the attention of the little cub, no matter what, he must succeed, otherwise, I am afraid that he will never encounter such an opportunity again.
