Chapter XXXVI One-year period
Away from the tower, Gordon followed behind Wizard Asuna.
After passing through a variety of buildings, it finally stopped in front of a small gray-white minaret.
Without saying anything to the two, Wizard Asuna just waved open the tower door and walked in, and Gordon and the others hurriedly followed.
Inside the minaret, the smooth stone walls are similar to those Gordon had seen before when he was receiving supplies for newcomers.
However, the bright and cold light in the tower was much better than the cold and dim environment of the previous spire, but the small space still made Gordon feel very depressed.
Gordon walked up the circular staircase upstairs and went up to the second floor, only to find that there was only the second floor inside the spire.
But Gordon noticed that the staircase behind him was still extending upwards, but the end of the staircase extension seemed to be the stone wall inside the tower.
I don't know if it was deliberately made in this architectural style, or if there is something hidden at the end of the staircase.
However, Gordon didn't think much of it, and saw that Wizard Asuna had already walked in, and immediately followed with Bella Hall.
It was only when he entered the only room in the spire that Gordon realized that the space in this room was somewhat unexpected.
The reason for this is probably that Gordon probably knows, or it is that the building materials dealer mixed with some precious magical materials for the witchcraft space when building this small spire.
Either this spire is arranged with a wizarding circle of no less than a low level, or the spaciousness of this room is definitely not as large as the situation that Gordon sees now.
The room was bright, but Gordon had only seen a small window that had this effect, apparently with some small trick of sorcery applied to the window.
Looking inside, Gordon saw a huge bookshelf full of books.
Books are large and small, the big ones are about the same height and size as half an adult, and the small ones are just notepads the size of the palm of the average person's hand.
At this time, these books are neatly arranged on the tall bookshelves not far from the inner door.
In front of the bookshelf is a nondescript high table, on which a thick book is placed, and behind the table is a bench.
Inside the room is a large experimental research table, which is filled with experimental utensils of various styles.
In the past, there seemed to be a breeding area for some creatures behind the test table, and Gordon noticed that there were some strange-looking small creatures there, which were now being kept in small cages in the breeding area, constantly scurrying.
The room was very neat and not messy, a bit unlike the average wizard's accommodation.
Gordon had seen many wizards' quarters before, but most of them were messy and crowded, with books and materials piled on top of each other, as if there were not enough rooms for them.
But these wizards are always able to find things and materials from corners exactly when they need them.
That's probably why wizards don't have to spend time keeping their rooms tidy!
......
Gordon immediately withdrew his gaze as he watched Wizard Asuna skillfully sit on the bench behind the high table.
"Gordon Christian... Bella Hall, right?"
Wizard Asuna sat down at the high table, her fingers tapped her head, as if thinking about their names, and then asked in a cold voice.
"Yes, sir!"
"That's right... My lord!"
The two replied.
"Then from now on, you two will be my students!"
"This is also my first time accepting students, so you two are my first batch of students!"
"Neither of you has bad qualifications, but for some reason, I only have one year left in the academy. ”
"So, I hope you both can do your best to improve yourself, and I will also give you preferential treatment under my greatest authority!"
......
Hearing this, Gordon immediately felt that the wizard Asuna in front of him was really interesting.
"Just give the two of you a year?"
"What can a formal wizard do in a year, an ordinary experimental study, a simple extended exploration of an advanced academic topic, a basic mastery of an advanced witchcraft model, this is all that can be done!"
"One year is not enough for even a full-fledged wizard-level adventure. ”
Again, a year is just as short a time for an apprentice wizard.
For a rookie apprentice, one year, if everything goes well, is enough for the other party to be promoted from a meditation beginner to a first-level wizard apprentice.
But if due to lack of effort or some other reason, it is not surprising that one year is not enough time and it takes longer to enter the first level wizard apprenticeship.
But even if you are promoted to a first-level apprentice, it can only be regarded as a real entry in the wizarding world, and the wizard's path has just begun.
"Only teach the two of them for a year!"
"This new mentor of mine is really a bit cruel!"
Thinking of this, Gordon couldn't help but glance at the blonde girl beside him.
Gordon naturally didn't care, and even had some joy.
Because Gordon has enough experience and big enough secrets, he naturally doesn't need a mentor who he is always on guard.
To be honest, Gordon really doesn't want to deal with these official wizards at all, even the new mentor in front of him, Asuna.
Because the official wizard has enough vision and strength to detect Gordon's abnormality to a certain extent, if the other party has paid special attention to Gordon.
So in the face of these official wizards, Gordon's plan was to hide far away.
And now Mentor Asuna's decision to leave in a year is exactly what Gordon wants.
But for Bella Hall, Mentor Asuna's departure was not a good thing, or even a bad thing.
Even if Bella Hall successfully promoted to the rank 1 wizard apprentice a year later, for a beginner wizard apprentice, the role of a mentor is irreplaceable.
The loss of her mentor will not only affect the major subjects that Bella Hall received for free from her mentor.
It will also affect other aspects of Bella's academic problems, bottlenecks, and the promotion of meditation.
The most important thing is that it will affect the magic stone, because there is a real need for magic stones in the wizarding world.
Whether it's the model construction that wizard apprentices need to practice witchcraft and the need to buy magic stones, or some popular subjects that wizard apprentices must take.
Almost all of the most popular compulsory subjects like 'Paleologuistics' and 'Elementary Biology' also require magic stones to buy, as well as many other things.
A large part of these can be purchased from your own tutor, and the price of these things from the tutor is exactly the same as if you could buy them elsewhere in the college.
And without a mentor, this has a great impact on the already embarrassed Magic Stone finances in the early stage of most wizard apprentices.
Therefore, the departure of Mentor Asuna after a year had the most fatal impact on Bella Hall.
