Chapter 5 It's Getting Dark
Just outside the small town of Bath, on a lush hill, on a leafy forest trail.
Gordon was carrying a large package on his back, and he was walking down the path with difficulty.
It's summer, and because of the abundant sunshine and rain all year round, not only the trees are lush here, but also all kinds of wild grasses and thorns.
Gordon, who was walking in it at this time, drew a lot of bright red marks on his bare arms, and blood was faintly overflowing.
"Damn, this road in the memory of the original owner is not like this!"
Gordon paused, picked up a half-man-tall weed, and saw the tall paulownia trees in the distance that seemed to be independent chickens, and realized that it should be summer.
In the memory of the original owner, the paulownia tree on the top of the hill is bare, and there are no branches and leaves now.
Seeing that the route was correct, Gordon did not rush to leave, but threw aside the wooden stick in his hand to explore the way.
After pulling out the short knife pinned to his waist and cleaning the weeds and thorns around him a little, he sat down on the ground and opened the cloth package, took out the water and white bread he had bought at the grocery store, and ate it.
Although this body is very thin and weak, and the identity environment is so bad that it is sold as a male pet, and now it is facing being hunted down, which can be said to have made Gordon decline to the extreme at the beginning!
But there was one good thing that pleased Gordon, and even compared to this benefit, everything else seemed insignificant.
That is, this body is sensitive to the reaction of elemental energy particles in the air, which is the only effect that can be achieved by wizards with good qualifications.
Looking at the white bread in front of him, Gordon actually felt ** coming out of his mouth, which was an urgent reaction to wanting to eat something.
It was then that Gordon noticed that after his mother died of illness, the original owner had been doing odd jobs at the Bath docks and picking up some things at the garbage disposal place in the aristocratic district east of Bath Town.
Although the days are very hard, they are still self-sufficient in terms of food and clothing, but the food is very poor, and almost all the time, Gordon's morning and evening meals are cheap and easy to fill black bread.
This was the reason why he was able to save those silver coins, and it was also the natural reaction of Gordon's body when he saw the white bread.
Seeing this, Gordon couldn't help but feel a trace of sympathy for the original owner.
The predecessor, as a high-level life that no longer needed to consume these caloric foods as supplements, could not understand the urgent emotions of the original owner.
However, that didn't affect Gordon's current empathy for that feeling.
Swallowing the last bite of white bread in his hand, he took another sip of water and felt his strength regained.
Gordon didn't delay, maybe the guys in those castles had already found themselves gone, and it wasn't certain that they were already looking for themselves in the small town of Bath.
It's also fortunate that I just put on my own clothes when I was buying bread and water, otherwise it would only be more noticeable along the way.
......
When Gordon stood under the towering tree, the two light clusters in the sky were already a little westward.
The light on the horizon gradually turned red, and it was no longer so hot on Gordon.
At this time, there is a cliff, and the tall paulownia trees are straight down the cliff not far ahead, and under the cliff is the organ sea.
Standing under the paulownia tree, Gordon could easily smell the fishy smell in the sea breeze.
Of course, Gordon didn't go to great lengths to find this place to blow the sea breeze, and walked along the towering paulownia trees.
It wasn't long before a hole hidden next to a boulder and overgrown with weeds and vines appeared in front of Gordon.
This is a long time ago, when the original owner's predecessor mother was still alive, the original owner and two friends came here to play, and that time the hide and seek made the original owner roll in through this hole.
Fortunately, it should have been autumn at that time, and there were a lot of yellow fallen leaves and weeds in the cave, so the original owner was not hurt much.
This is also one of the few times that the original owner played in the company of his mother in his childhood, so it made the original owner remember it deeply.
Picking up the weeds, Gordon used a wooden stick to continue to explore the way, in order to better hide the effect, Gordon did not remove the weeds at the entrance of the cave, but just observed the situation in the cave more carefully.
During this season, snakes and some other creatures are very fond of hiding in such caves.
As luck would have it, when Gordon was standing inside the cave, he didn't find a single larger cave owner, except for two palm-sized spiders that Gordon had knocked to death with sticks.
After only a little observation, Gordon realized that this was a man-made rock cave, except for the passage at the entrance, which seemed to be a natural formation, and the back passages clearly showed signs of being excavated.
The cavern beneath his feet was a little dark and damp, and Gordon followed the passage towards the light source in the distance.
It's just that as he walked, Gordon found that this artificially hewn rock cave was really not small, and the height of this passage was at least about two meters, and Gordon didn't need to bow his head at all when he walked in it.
There is also a width of the passage that can accommodate two adults in parallel, and there are small spaces next to the passage, which are large enough to accommodate an adult's resting place.
He walked on until he saw something around the corner of the passage, and Gordon stopped.
It was a mess of white bones, just a few white thigh bones and two broken skulls telling the others that they were human skeletons.
Seeing this, Gordon turned his head to look at the four dark passages, and seemed to understand that there might be something else in this passage.
As a great wizard who has dabbled in a lot of necromancy, there is still a great possibility of breeding some low-level ghosts in this environment.
"That's fine, it's even harder for Baron Broad's subordinates to find themselves!"
"However, in this way, the biggest problem I am facing now is probably not human!"
Looking down in deep thought, Gordon continued to walk towards the light source.
"It's obviously too late to quit now and find another place to hide, in that case!"
Thinking of this, Gordon's eyes narrowed slightly, and then he said softly: "Then try it!"
After saying that, he raised his feet and walked forward.
After turning another hole, a stone gate appeared in front of Gordon, which was circular in shape and supported by a fulcrum in the middle, which could be pushed from left to right.
However, at this time, the stone gate layer is ajar, and the light source is transmitted from behind the stone gate.
Gordon stepped forward and pushed the stone door hard, and found that the stone door was extremely heavy, and with his current strength, there was nothing he could do with this stone door.
Perhaps because this place has been abandoned for too long, the pillar in the middle of the stone gate has long been broken.
Fortunately, the gap in the half-open stone door was just enough for Gordon to pass through.
After stepping through the stone gate, Gordon realized that the passage actually led straight to the sea.
Gordon took a few steps further, and found that the exit of this passage was actually halfway up the cliff before, and watched the waves of the Organ Sea below the entrance of the cave constantly wash over the stone wall below the cliff, stirring up layers of waves.
Gordon felt that this place was good, at least the view of the sea from here was magnificent and quiet.
But with just a little sigh, Gordon was immediately busy.
Because it's getting dark.
