Chapter 43: The Door

The baron decided to try a ritual, he liked the announcement, and of course it took a little effort to memorize the lines, but the feeling of doing something important was pleasant.

During last night's discussion, Professor Granger's idea of a sacrifice convinced Arthur and the Baron that, in the tradition of the Druids, he devised a ritual whereby the thorns would give way if the sacrifice was successful.

Arthur and Professor Granger placed a ring in front of the baron with stones, each with a rune inscription carved into it, a leaf plucked from a bush, and then a weed was lit and placed in the middle of the ring.

The baron stood in front of the stones, facing the thorny forest, stretched out a hand and began to pray silently.

This is an exciting moment of time, and if the ritual is successful, the jungle will open.

Then the weeds burned out.

The thorns are still the same.

Nothing has changed.

"Failed?"

Professor Granger didn't feel the fluctuations in the magic, but he waited patiently for a while, and the result was still disappointing.

"It's almost a success. ”

Magellan's blindfolded left eye saw something that no one else had noticed, and although he didn't succeed in getting the thorns to recede, the runi script on the stone did make up a broken magic.

It was the first time in a long time that the Esyadian had lost their traditions and that the magical power of the Runi script had been reclaimed.

"That's a failure. ”

Professor Granger shook his head regretfully, he didn't pay much attention to it, after all, he didn't have much hope in the first place.

"It's close. ”

Wearing an eye patch, Magellan carefully walked on the border between the imaginary and real worlds, coming to the ring of stones.

Harnessing the power of the Runi script, this line of thinking is correct. ”

"Is that the letter was chosen wrong?

Arthur looked down at the brand-new magic that Professor Granger had carefully prepared, like looking at a fresh toy.

"This jungle borrows the magic of the druids, but it is essentially the magic of the ancient Esyadians, and it is not the druid's sacrifices that matter, but the rituals of the Esyadians. ”

Magellan had already seen the light of the Rune script in another world, a text on a stone block, with many confusing and complex meanings, mainly representing passage and travel.

This is the key to unlocking the thorns, surprisingly simple, but yet a matter of course.

It's just that carving it into the stone is not enough to open the gate.

Magellan crouched down and brushed the moss off the stones.

"I need a little blood, Baron, to draw a rune here. ”

The baron removed his badge and pricked his finger with the tip of a needle.

Indifferent to the pain, he drew the words representing the pathway on the rocky ground that Magellan pointed.

"yes! I should have thought of it. ”

Professor Granger exclaimed excitedly.

This is the traditional ritual of the Esyad people, whether it is runi script or blood.

"But nothing happened. ”

Arthur stood in front of the thorns and looked at the fence that no one could cross, and although the baron had completed his magic, the wall remained unchanged.

"Look. ”

Magellan smiled and looked at the thorns.

Then in that dense forest, the tangled vines bloomed.

It was a gorgeous pure white rose, with a huge flower graceful and luxurious, and the floral fragrance was high and long.

The bloom seemed to drain all the life force of the vine, and beneath the flower, the knotted vine began to wither at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Then the shrubs under the flowers also bloomed small red flowers, as bright as fire, and like blood.

The flower bloomed at an alarming rate, then withered, and then the flowering shrub withered.

"Really...... Beautiful ......"

When it was all over, the four of them saw an arch of vines, dotted with pure white roses, and on the other side of the door, a dreamlike scene.

There was darkness in the forest, but there were still sporadic rays of light falling, illuminating the shadows and revealing the figure of a pure white castle.

It is a castle that only appears in fairy tales, with a blue roof on top of pure white walls, and a spire towering into the sky, like the embodiment of a dream.

"This is Swan Castle. ”

The baron unconsciously walked through the arch and walked towards the castle not far away.

His mind was full of chaotic thoughts, the silent grandfather of his childhood, and the dazzling glory of his family's past, all of which were as confusing as dragging everything in his dream into reality.

"This is your castle, your family domain, and as you just saw, this door is open for you. ”

The baron sighed silently, "What's in there?"

Professor Granger laughed, "Just go in and see." ”

They walked along the boulder-paved paths, through the pillars of light falling overhead, to the pure white castle gates.

It was a tower with a heavy wooden gate that opened open to give a glimpse of the castle behind the garden.

The garden is full of green grass, flowers, and pure white lilies like pure white marble sculptures.

Everything seems to have been stuck in some moment in the distant past, and everything in this castle is as if there are still people living in it, clean and organized.

"That's the Lily of the Dragon Country!"

Arthur almost jumped to his feet, and he looked at the pure white flowers blooming in the courtyard as if he saw countless gold coins.

"It's beautiful. ”

The baron looked at the lily, completely unable to understand Arthur's excitement, in his eyes, it was the inheritance of his ancestors, a beautiful castle, everything seemed to represent that he should be excited, but in fact he was at peace inside.

The only ripple is just confusion.

"This is the main hall. ”

Magellan put his hand on the hilt of his sword, and the door to the main hall in front of him was sealed by a pair of beautiful crimson wooden doors, and no one knew what would be behind it.

Arthur stepped forward, stretched out a hand with Magellan, and slowly pushed the door open.

The expected danger did not appear, and the four of them saw a hall as beautiful and dreamy as the whole castle, with a floor paved with unknown rocks as bright as mirrors, thin columns reaching up to the roof, and an ornate spiral staircase twisted into handrails with thin wire like a blooming rose.

In Magellan's memory, only the summer palace of the king of the world had a hall comparable to that of this one.

"Are we walking in a fairy tale?"

Professor Granger smiled and walked into the hall, letting down his guard, soaking in the magnificence of the sight.

Magellan and Arthur followed into the hall, stepping on the smooth floor and looking around.

"What's that?"

At the back of the hall, there was a figure. It's in hand, please wait a while, after the content is updated, you need to refresh the page again to get the latest update!
