Originally a human sorcerer, Dormammu was a man of power, but he turned his body into a completely flamed master, becoming the master of the dark dimension, and his own existence transcended time (unfortunately he encountered the Infinity Stones).

Dormammu's ambition is to contaminate all dimensions into their own dark dimension and rule the entire universe, so many decent wizards have fought against Dormammu, such as the Ancient One, Doctor Strange, and later Voodoo.

Although Dormammu and Strange are mortal enemies, Strange later marries Dormammu's niece, which makes Dormammu's face ugly.
