Chapter 115: The Spiritual Realm (Part II)

There is no language in the spiritual realm, just as there is no form in it that can be truly recognized. All communication in the spiritual realm is subjective, in other words, communication in the spiritual realm is based on each person's conscious experience, which means that the two individuals here do not communicate more accurately when exchanging information, but are extremely difficult to communicate. This is because each individual's life experience is different, and so is the conscious experience that is constituted by it. For example, in the concept of fish, one of the individuals gave the answer that the trout in the river would look like when it was cut open and put on a plate, because that was his first impression of the fish. Another instance thinks of a fish and constructs a hammerhead shark swimming. Can they understand each other? It's difficult, I'm afraid. This is the dilemma of communication in the spiritual realm, where there is no such thing as words, and there is no convenient instrumental concept.

In that case, communication in the spiritual realm seems to be impossible, isn't it? It's just that experts who often have to go in and out of the spiritual realm and even study it still find some possibility in this impossibility, and that is a technique called entanglement. Entanglement, as the name suggests, refers to the fact that the two sides of the communication touch each other and wrap and entangle each other like vines. In this case, the perception of things can reach a certain degree of unity, and the information conveyed can be understood. Of course, there is a great danger in this technique, and the interaction of the spirit body is likely to lead to the confusion of consciousness, and then produce a series of consequences such as hallucinations and insanity.

Cheese knew all of these risks, but honestly they were nothing compared to what he was about to face, and in the face of the kindness shown by the other two spirits, Cheese did not hesitate to reach out his hands, or something like them. The other two spirits immediately understood what he meant, and each stretched out a part of themselves to entangle with the mage.

As long as the two spirit bodies begin to entangle, the speed of information interaction between them can infinitely approach no process, and the moment the entanglement begins is the moment when the entanglement is completed. And some of the things that Cheese expected were that these two beings, who would be called gods in the grassland, did not give him informational help as he thought, and what they gave was more direct, that is, a part of their own spirit body. This action is basically equivalent to cutting a piece of meat from the body with a knife and feeding it to the cheese's mouth. The huge energy and abundant emotions were like a hot current surging in the mage's spirit, and all his negative emotions disintegrated in this pure and vast energy, and for a moment, Cheese even felt that his existence had broken through the limitations of the individual, and expanded to an infinite and huge level to be equal to everything. But just as he was indulging in this, in his already infinitely expanding individuality, he saw a core. It was a hard, stubborn seed that exuded an aura that did not belong to this world.

The imagination that had just been great collapsed in an instant, and Cheese looked curiously at what he had found. But he didn't have to look closely, and that kind of child disappeared from his perception, as if it had never existed. What he didn't know was that if it weren't for this seed, he would probably have a problem at this time. It is true that being one with heaven and earth and with all things is a very subtle and profound state. But this state cannot be attained by external force, and the power assigned to him by the spirits is like an overdose of stimulant, and when he begins to take it, he feels that he can do anything, but then he finds that he can do nothing but continue to take it. Fortunately, before he could feel the wonderfulness, his attention was pulled away.

Cheese wanted to continue communicating with the two gods, but where were they still in the spiritual realm? To be honest, the mage didn't regret it, and it was not a pleasant thing for him to show his whole presence in front of two unknown beings. Moreover, the herdsmen regard the spirits as everything, but it is not clear what the spirits think of them, and how they view other races that are not steppe people. Especially after experiencing the huge energy of the other party's spirit body, Cheese didn't think he would have any leeway.

That's fine, you give me strength, and I'll help you. Simple, direct, no contracts, no suspicions, this couldn't be better. With this in mind, Cheese continued his way through the desert-like spiritual realm, and finally, he found his purpose. And that target is not like the two spirit bodies that just appeared, it is a gap. A gap in the spiritual realm, like a hole in the curtain, a dark spot in the bright night sky that cannot be seen. For most people, it was a trap from which they could never recover, but for the mage at this time, that was the purpose of his trip, that was the door to the worm spirit world.

Heartbeat, body. The process of getting through the gap was much smoother than Si had imagined, and he arrived at his destination at once without any difficulties. This is no longer the spiritual realm, the consciousness naturally mimics the body to simulate the five senses, and the mage's form has also changed into a human appearance in a gray robe. Before his eyes, a desolate ridge appeared, a ridge, more like the highest point of the sand dune shaped by the wind, and to the left and right of the mage, the ground quickly sunken downward, sliding into the distant darkness that could not be seen. It was darkness, but Cheese was not sure why he could not see the end below, for the whole ridge on which he stood and the substance that made it up were also black, and the only thing that could be called an embellishment on these black substances was the sparse knots stuck in them. It's just that the knots inserted here are less consistent than the knots that Cheese had ever seen, and their material was no longer limited to grass stems and sticks, but all sorts of materials he knew and didn't recognize, which had obviously gone through a long time, and that ancient feeling could not be forged or imitated. Just looking at them, the mind unconsciously has a humble thought, wanting to succumb to the long years that these knots have passed.

This is the consciousness of the worm. Or rather, this is the outermost layer of the worm's consciousness, and what Cheese sees now is just what the worm wants to show him. But it doesn't matter, if you go any further, sooner or later he will find what he wants.
