Chapter 123: The Wound of the Wind (I)
The basement of the Prime Minister's Mansion, the Forest of Eternal Night.
Rodrith was deeply shocked by the scene in front of him, his vision was obscured by the thick branches, and he could only faintly hear the painful whine of the wolf cub below.
Rhodelis had just used his psychic power to successfully occupy the body of the Dryad, but his original body was now an empty shell because he had no soul.
The wolf cub thought that the magician had bled to death, and let out a miserable howl. The magician recalled the previous scene, and if he hadn't used his spiritual power to enter the body of the tree spirit, he was afraid that his body would have been squeezed into meat sauce by the spiky vines.
"But where did the soul of the dryant go?" Rodrith realized that he had taken possession of the dryad's body, but the dryad's soul had not entered the human body, and was now just an empty shell without a soul.
"Boom-" Rodrith began to manipulate the dryad's body, the massive trunk moving awkwardly.
Seeing the vines gradually shrink back into his body under his control, he gently placed the young wolf and its original body on the ground, and then looked at the surrounding scene.
"Huh?!" exclaimed the magician, as he was surprised to find that there were several tree spirits like himself standing around!
However, these clumsy creatures didn't seem to notice anything unusual about their companions, they just stared blankly at the wolf cubs on the ground, their green eyes glowing eerily in the darkness.
As soon as the little one landed, he immediately ran to the body, licking the mage's cheek, which was gradually losing its temperature.
Several dryads beside him began to move, they obviously wouldn't let go of the young wolf so easily, one of the dryads stretched out its thick palm, and the huge shadow quickly moved to the top of the young wolf's head.
"Hiss ......" suddenly exploded on the ground, and it turned out that at the moment when the branch fell, Rodlis used his body to block the attack of the tree spirit, and it was dusty for a while. Now his whole body was lying on the ground, forming a protective umbrella to protect the wolf cub and the empty shell.
Several tree spirits reacted immediately, although they didn't know why their companions stopped them, but with their simple brains, they couldn't think so much, and clearing the obstacles in front of them was the unchanging law.
Rodrith couldn't help but secretly complain, because he had to protect his body and the Wind Demon Wolf, he was completely zombie and could only withstand the heavy blows of his "companions" again and again.
The wolf cub screamed in terror, and he bit the mage's sleeve to drag him to safety, but the wolf cub's own strength was so small that he finally gave up and ran out of the area covered by the shadow of the dryads.
A tree spirit noticed the young wolf's figure, and immediately released three thorny vines, rushing straight to the little one's location!
Although the Wind Demon Wolf is weak, it still has an advantage in speed, and it can clearly see its surroundings in the dark.
"Bang, bang!" both vines swooped into the air, digging deep into the fluffy ground, and Rodrith couldn't move his body, only anxiously watching the young wolf galloping around.
After a few seconds, a black shadow flashed, and the young wolf finally failed to dodge the third vine, and the spikes sank into the flesh fiercely, and the little one let out a terrible howl in severe pain.
"Damn!" Seeing this, Rodrith hurriedly released three vines, which wrapped around the dryad's body in an instant. However, as the other two dryads turned around and kept attacking him, Rodrith had no way to get out and could only silently suffer the damage.
"Die, you traitor!!" A deafening roar suddenly rang out around him, and Rodrith couldn't believe his ears.
However, he quickly calmed down, perhaps because his soul had entered the body of the dryad, so he could understand the language of the dryad.
"Boom-boom!! The remaining two dryads began to attack Rodrith frantically, their thick fists slamming into his shattering body. Originally, the Dryad possessed by Rhodelis was the strongest one, but now it was almost falling apart.
"Have you reached your limit......" Rodrith felt his consciousness begin to drift and the green glow in his eyes dimmed. He vaguely saw the wolf cub struggling among the vines not far away, but now it was numb and unable to move.
He stared down at the mage's body, and with the last of his strength he chanted a magic incantation, only to see a burst of intense white light burst out from the dryad's head, instantly illuminating the entire surrounding area!
The dryads were stunned by the dazzling light, and stopped moving for a moment. The wolf cub took the opportunity to break free from the vines and leap back to the ground.
A chill came from nowhere, and the magician lying on the ground suddenly shook violently. Rodrith's eyes opened suddenly, and his mental power returned to his original body! However, he was horrified to find that the huge figure of the tree spirit was standing in front of him.
"Ouch, you two don't stop yet!Damn, I'm going to kill this bastard!" Rodrith said with an explosion in his ears, and the hapless dryad was now back to its original state, cursing incessantly.
The two dryads immediately stopped, and Rodrith tried to stand up, but he forgot that he was covered in wounds all over his body, and he was horribly devastated by the dryads.
"What should I do?" Rodrith looked at the viper-like vines in despair, completely out of shelter at the moment, and there was nowhere to escape!
The magician wanted to stand up again, but drowsiness suddenly came over him, and his eyelids were as heavy as lead.
The moment he closed his eyes, Rodrith felt something in front of him, and in the haze, the bloody body of the Wind Demon Wolf stood in front of him!
"Little one...... You—" The magician finally couldn't hold it anymore and slowly closed his eyes.
I don't know how long it was, and it seemed that it was only a few seconds, and the gloomy aura in the Eternal Night Forest was a little thicker than before, and the three tree spirits obviously sensed that something was wrong, and actually stopped their body movements.
"Don't be suspicious, it's still early before dawn! Finish this bastard!" the dryad that Rodrith had possessed before seemed to be their leader, and now erupted in a terrifying roar.
As soon as he finished speaking, the tree spirit's huge palm swung down at Rodrith, and he was about to smash his body into pulp!
"Whew~!" A small hurricane suddenly rolled around the young wolf's body, and the fine air kept churning and surging.
I saw that its originally thin body was suddenly magnified several times, and the soft hair on its body stood upside down like spikes, as if it had pulled a mysterious force.
