Chapter Twenty-Three: The Headbreaker

Dying in battle is indeed the highest glory of a knight. But that being said. It's always in human nature to be afraid. The bodies of several people in the front row holding shields trembled.

Yorkton clenched the glowing knight's greatsword, his gaze like a torch. He's the kind of guy who lives for the battlefield. Whenever there is a fight, his most obvious feeling is excitement rather than fear.

In particular, the more difficult the battle, the more exciting it is for him. He shouted and leaped into the air, swinging his greatsword with all his might. With his roar, a half-moon-shaped light quickly swept out.

The light slammed into two pieces cleanly.

As if they hadn't seen it at all, the remaining three werewolves continued to charge at the knights' defensive formation. It was not easy for three berserk werewolves to kill these powerful knights.

But they didn't need to kill the knights in the first place, they just had to let the knights hurt.

The four shield-wielding knights did not fail to fulfill their mission to block the simultaneous onslaught of the three werewolves, and entangled with the werewolves. At this time, Yorkton and Heilman each swung their weapons vigorously, and the remaining three werewolves were eliminated with a click.

Since they have understood the attack methods and characteristics of these werewolves, this wave of five berserk werewolves' attacks, the knights almost perfectly defended!

Of course, it wasn't perfect enough, because the great knight Heilman's right arm had spurted a lot of blood. His wound was obviously very large.

A few seconds later, Heilman fell to the ground with a thud. He couldn't get up again, he couldn't swing his hammer anymore.

Yorkton watched as Heilman, who had fought alongside him, collapsed in front of him.

Heilman's blood, of course, was also consumed by the werewolves. This time, however, the furious werewolf did not charge alone. This time all the werewolves acted collectively, and dozens of werewolves attacked at the same time!

Yorkton crouched beside his comrade-in-arms Heilman and whispered, "Go, my brother." Rest in peace...... I'll come ...... then."

After he said this, the werewolf had already launched a charge. Yorkton once again drew his sword in hand and prepared to fight.

On the other side, Canakas took off several times to search, and finally found a werewolf crouching on a tree at the top of the mountain. The werewolf was very hidden in the dense foliage.

Canakas was able to spot him because of the red glow in his eyes.

As soon as the werewolf was spotted, Canakas attacked. He was in the air, his hands parted together. Then he threw his hands forward and whispered in his mouth: "Bee sting......"

With a whisper from Canakas, countless thin, short lines were wrapped in white light and poured down towards the werewolf hiding in the tree!

In an instant, the werewolf and the tree were completely torn apart. Even the ground there has been affected. The "bee sting" of Canakas is really powerful!

And just after Karnacas killed the werewolf. On the other side, several of the werewolves besieging Yorkton suddenly fell to the ground!

The battle-hardened Yorkton immediately understood that it must be because of Canakas's success.

So Yorkton shouted, "Canakas has slain the leader of the werewolves." Knights, aren't these dozens of werewolves just our appetizers?"

As Yorkton shouted, the knights were cheered. They all shouted and rushed towards the werewolf.

Jones watched as the knights of the royal guard were in a bitter battle. He also drew his sword and joined the warband.

Jones, who possessed great talent, caught Yorkton's attention as soon as he entered the battle. The lad's performance really surprised Yorkton. He began to like this young man in his heart.

But happy is happy, like like. After all, the battle was not as easy as Yorkton said. What kind of appetizers and stuff are just to boost morale.

Being besieged by dozens of werewolves is not so easy. Soon a knight was killed. Others were also injured. Although Yorkton wielded his great sword and slashed the werewolves, he could not ensure the safety of the royal cadets and knights.

A bloody scuffle continued.

After another moment, except for Jones, the other royal cadets were all killed or injured. Because the circular protective formation formed by the knights has been broken up by the werewolves.

And these royals now regret coming to the demon hunting training camp to "gild", it is too late.

Only Jones, who had no intention of participating in the power struggle and came purely to learn magic hunting, survived with his own ability.

However, Yorkton's men were also dead. Now there are only two people left who still maintain high combat effectiveness, Yorkton and Jones. And there are still a dozen werewolves left!

Canakas is torn between a rock and a hard place. He wanted to kill the red-eyed werewolf and then go back to help. But he felt that the werewolf's death was too simple. It is likely that it is not really "behind the scenes".

But he had already heard the screams from below, so he was worried that those people needed his help. Although he was entangled, he did not stop searching. After two more searches at high altitude, Kanakas decided to go back and help.

By the time he rushed back, the scene was already miserable. Except for Yorkton and Jones back-to-back support. The others are dead. The ground was littered with corpses and blood.

Some "anxious" werewolves have begun to gnaw on the corpses of the dead!

Canakas rushed back from the air, he had intended to use a bee sting. But the werewolves were centering Jones and Yorkton. If he makes a move now, he will inevitably hurt those two.

He had no choice but to attack a single werewolf alone. However, such an attack could not save the two people below.

Jones and Yorkton kept wielding the sword. You can be injured or even killed at any time.

When Canakas landed, he put away his string and pulled out a thick coil of rope.

Then he jumped to the center of the werewolf encirclement, and with a shake of his hands, he wrapped Jones and Yorkton around the waist with a thick rope.

Then he roared and used his pure divine power to shake a circle of werewolves away.

The werewolves were immediately shaken out and fell to the ground. And Jones and Yorkton, who were tied up by Karnacas, were of course fine.

Although this move is powerful, it is only a stopgap measure. Because it can only temporarily repel the werewolves, but it cannot effectively kill the werewolves.

But now Karnacas was free to attack. He flicked his hands, and the bee sting was already activated. Five or six werewolves were killed in an instant.

Having a chance to breathe, Yorkton also used his Crescent Moon Slash again, directly cutting off the three werewolves.

Jones didn't have any means of attacking from a distance, so he could only watch Kanakas go on a killing spree. And the crescent moon chop used by Yorkton made Jones even more envious.

The dashing movements, the mighty power, and the sharp white sword waves all fascinated Jones.

But the battle continued. Soon the werewolves who were still alive rushed again.

And Jones accidentally kicked the dead Heilmann's warhammer. He hesitated for half a second, then threw away the sword in his hand and picked up the huge war hammer.

And what he didn't know was that this warhammer also had its own name. That's the "Head Crusher".
