Chapter 280: Detachment
Like a comet striking the Earth, the giant tree that stood motionless on the ground finally had to move, waving its massive branches to prevent Lynch from striking its main pole.
The comet didn't pause, the huge but superficial branches didn't do the slightest damage to Lynch's armor, and Lynch rushed towards the huge branches that were whistling and waving at his side, like a sharp hilt cutting butter, and he went straight through the treeman's arm, cutting a wide passage through its branches.
Green juice gushes out of the channel, like blood that comes out of a person when they are injured.
The giant Treant was enraged, and it clearly felt the threat of a fly buzzing around its head, though the small wound was insignificant to it.
Not only that, but in the midst of Lynch's constant harassment, the search for the Sun-Chasers standing on it was interrupted by the trembling of its massive branches, and everyone turned their attention back to themselves, alert for possible attacks from above.
This was fatal for the search, and everyone knew that they would not be able to find Perisius again, and even if they did, they would surely have completed the ripening of the perfect body.
Soon, the earth began to tremble, and the huge tree man let out a silent roar, supporting the ground with both hands, giving up the search for Perrisius and pulling itself back from the ground.
Lynch hovered in the air, looking at the hollow eyes of the huge tree man facing him, looking at the legs that supported its main torso, which had been entangled in roots and connected to the earth, and the tangled roots were like dense snakes entangled, it was hard to imagine that they could support such a huge body.
The ground for miles had collapsed, and the trees around it had collapsed, and it was only then that Lynch saw the full extent of what was now underground—all the slowly wriggling roots piled together, and the huge treemen had turned the area into its territory, and the innocent trees were crushed in the tangled roots.
It stared at Lynch with its hollow eyes, its branches thrust into the tangled roots, and then the area shook violently again, and Lynch watched as the Treant pulled a massive metal hilt from the tangled roots beneath the ground.
Lynch looked at the hilt of the sword, and the tree man wrapped around the hilt seemed to be struggling, and an ominous warning immediately flashed in his heart.
His talent tells him to either stop the Treant from pulling out his weapon, or run away and leave before he can pull it out.
Lynch looked at the treeman's hysterical appearance, and probably knew in his heart that his harassment plan should be considered a success, or that Perrisius had completed ripening.
Either way, the final step was easier than Lynch expected.
He calculated how long his lightning armor could last, and the corners of his mouth once again split a mocking arc towards the treeman, and then without hesitation, he picked a random direction and flew away.
"No!" Finally, a loud voice came into his head, with anger and hysteria, vibrating Lynch's conscious consciousness, making his head feel as if he had been hit hard: "You damn worm!"
Lynch shook his head and continued to run away, now that he had made his home here, he didn't want to use his mind about the outside world anymore.
The Hikari dragged his thunderbolt-like tail and soon disappeared from the treeman's field of vision, eventually merging into the distant sky.
It was only then that the tree pulled out its greatsword from the ground, a long sword that looked like it was made of old wood, half the length of its body.
The young man named El clung tightly to the treeman's body, looking desperately at the treeman's weapon in front of him, the huge dark green sword.
He looked at his skin, which had begun to dry out under the influence of the sword, and the color was getting darker and darker, like the bark of a tree, and he set his gaze back on his hands that were clutching the treeman's body.
Now he didn't have to worry that he would accidentally let go of his hand and fall, and the emerald green shoots grew from between his fingernails, clinging to the bark and thriving, and it had become a part of his body.
Soon it will be all.
The helpless innocent couldn't even let out a wail at this time, just watched as the Treant pointed his greatsword at the sky, obscured the sky and the sun, and then swung it down.
......
Lynch flew at full speed until his lightning armor exhausted his abilities and could no longer sustain it.
To Lynch's surprise, the moment the lightning armor disappeared, the endless fatigue directly invaded, relying on inertia, Lynch fell from the sky, and there was still an endless forest under him and in sight.
The momentum of his whereabouts was not small, but it frightened the animals in the vicinity, which had become frightened birds by the events in the distance, and at least the birds flew away again.
Lynch crushed the branches along the way, and then fell to the soft, leafy ground.
The trees here are not as dense as before, and they are no longer the tall trees of the rainforest that they used to be. He could feel the light from the sky spilling over his face through the gaps in the foliage, and then a faint smell of water entering his keen sense of smell.
There is probably a lake not far away.
Lynch's consciousness was still quite clear, he resisted his desire to retch, and did not rush to get up, he first summoned a dagger, and took out a hidden blade in the other hand, and hid directly on the spot, preventing any pursuers from chasing him here and finding him directly.
Then he turned his attention to the area, and bared his teeth and whispered slowly.
The feeling of extreme fatigue was still invading him.
Before, he thought that the end of the Lightning Armor would only consume his Lightning Series ability, but now it seems that almost all of his physical strength has been consumed.
Lynch let go of his senses and carefully probed his surroundings.
There didn't seem to be anything threatening in the vicinity, except for a small group of roe deer-like animals not far away that remained in the lake and river, only occasionally glancing vigilantly in the direction of Lynch's sound.
These are really big animals, Lynch relaxed slightly, and couldn't help but close his eyes. I don't know how these weak little creatures survived in such a place, their vigilance is too poor.
Lynch thought so, when suddenly he heard a faint singing voice coming from the other side of the lake, and it was clearly reaching his ears.
He narrowed his eyes.
Not to mention how strange it is for the singing voice to appear in such a place, the distance between the lake and here is not close, and it is really suspicious that this singing voice can reach his ears through such a long distance.
Lynch's perception did not see anything from the surface of the lake, and the roe deer remained cautiously drinking from the lake as if they had heard nothing.
