Chapter 210: Awakening from a Dream
Ignoring everyone's stunned eyes, Rodrith walked over to his brother, who was clutching his bleeding arm.
"I'll take care of him. Rodrith said to Scarlet Moon as he held his brother with his black-robed hand.
"No, you can't. Calamon was taken aback. "You're not strong enough—" He immediately shut up when he felt his brother's arm supporting him.
"I'm strong enough now, Calamon. Rodlis said calmly, and this attitude sent a chill down the warrior's shoulder. "Lean on me, dear brother. ”
Rodrith's words are not wrong, his physique is now several times stronger than before, it is not that his body has become healthier, but because he has surrendered to the unknown and mysterious dark magic, and his soul has been sold to Nightmares.
For the first time in his life, Calamon was weak enough to need Rodlis's support because of fear and pain. The mage helped him, and the two walked side by side through the horrible forest.
"What the hell is going on, little brother?" Calamon asked intermittently, "why did you change into a black robe? and your voice—"
"Let's save some energy, brother. Rodlis suggested softly.
The two of them walked deeper into the forest, and the undead elven warriors watched them from the trees.
They could feel the intense hatred that sustained the dead bodies, and they could clearly see a glimmer of green in the hollow eye frames.
But no one dared to attack the black-robed mage. Calamon felt his warm blood gushing from between his fingers, dripping onto the slime-covered fallen leaves on the ground.
His body grew weaker and weaker, and he began to hallucinate that his shadow was getting stronger and stronger, and that he was moving towards death step by step.
Robert ran through the woods, searching for Stone. He found himself wrestling with a group of elven warriors who were unpredictable.
"It's a dream!" Robert shouted at the rider who was slashing at the undead.
Every time the knight slashes an enemy, it only causes them to disappear for a moment, and then immediately reappears. The half-elf drew his sword and rushed forward to fight alongside Stone.
"Uh!" an arrow shot into the knight's arm, and he whispered. Because the chain mail protected his arm, the wound was not deep, but the blood kept spurting out.
"Could this be a dream?" said Stone as he pulled out a cluster of blood-purifying arrows and gritted his teeth.
Robert leaps in front of the knight to keep the enemy from approaching until Stone is able to stop the bleeding from his wounds.
"Rodrith tells us—" Robert just spoke.
"Rodrith! look at the robe he's wearing, Robert!"
"But here you are! in Sivanasti!" Robert, bewildered, protested.
He had a strange feeling of arguing with himself. "Arhanna says you're in the ice wall!"
The knight shrugged. "Maybe someone sent me to help you. ”
All right. It was a dream, Robert told himself, I was going to wake up, but nothing had changed around me, the elves were still in front of me, still attacking.
Stone must be right, Rodrith lied. It's the same thing he lied about before he went into the forest. But for what? Is there any ulterior reason?
Then Robert suddenly woke up: Dragon Ball!
"We need to get to the tower before Rodrith!" Robert shouted to Stone. "I know the purpose of the mage!"
The knight could only nod. From then on, Robert only remembered that he was fighting inch by inch to move forward. Time and time again, two warriors fought off the undead elven warriors, only to be attacked by more enemies.
Time passed slowly, but they had no idea of time at all.
A few minutes ago, the sun was shining on this strange green, and soon the night was like a dragon's wings covering the whole land.
Just as night came, Stone and Robert saw the tower. The tower, built of marble, reflects a white sheen.
It towered over a clearing, like a skeletal finger sticking out of a grave.
As soon as they saw the tower, both of them immediately ran wildly. Although exhausted, neither man wanted to stay in the forest after sunset.
The elven warrior saw that his prey was about to escape, and began to scream angrily, following in close pursuit.
Robert kept running, feeling like his lungs were about to explode. Stone ran ahead of him, slashing at the elven warriors who appeared in front of them.
Just as Robert was about to reach the tower, he felt a tree root grab his foot. He fell headfirst to the ground.
Robert nervously tried to break free, but the roots clung tighter and tighter.
As Robert struggled, an undead elf, with a twisted look on his face, raised a spear aloft to carve through his body.
Suddenly, the elf's eyes widened, the spear was out of his hand, and a sword slashed through his transparent body. The elf screamed and vanished.
Robert looked up to see who had saved his life. He saw a strange warrior, strange but familiar.
The warrior took off his helmet, and Robert saw her brown eyes!
"Ella!" he gasped in surprise. "You're here!
Why?"
"I've heard you need help. She said her teasing smile was more attractive than ever. "Looks like I'm right. ”
She held out her hand.
He took the outstretched hand and was pulled up in confusion. It felt very real to her.
"Who's up there? Stone? Great! Just like we were back then! Shall we go into the tower?" she asked with a laugh on Robert's face as she saw the look of consternation on his face.
River Breeze is alone, fighting the elven warriors who keep appearing.
He knew he didn't have much to last. Then he heard a clear shout. He looked up and saw the people of Quisu!, he shouted excitedly.
But, unexpectedly, he saw them pointing arrows at him.
"No!" he cried out in Quisus, "don't you recognize me? I—" The warrior of Quisu answered him with arrows. River Wind felt the arrows stick into him one after another.
"You brought the blue crystal staff!" they shouted. "It's your fault! It's your fault that our village was destroyed!"
"I didn't mean to," he whispered as he fell to the ground. "I don't know, please forgive me. ”
Lena kept slashing at the elven warriors who stood in her way, only to see that they were all turned into nasty dragonmen all at once! Their reptilian eyes were blood-red, and their long tongues licked their swords.
Fear sent chills down the waitress at this bar. She stumbled into Stone, and the knight angrily turned around and told her to get out of the way.
She stumbled over Hubble, and the dwarf pushed her away impatiently.
Lena's eyes welled up with tears, and she watched in fear as the dragonmen's muscles grew from their bones and rejoined the battle.
She then lost control, slashing frantically at every moving object.
It wasn't until she saw Rodrith appear in front of her in a black robe that she regained her senses.
Without saying a word, the mage pointed forward, following his fingers—she saw Hubble dead at her feet, hacked to death by her wildly swung sword.
I'm the one who brought them, Hubble thought. It's my responsibility, I'm the oldest, and I'm going to get them out of here.
The dwarf unloaded his battle axe and roared and rushed towards the elven battlefield. But they just kept laughing at him. Hubble angrily stepped forward, only to find himself in a hurry. His joints began to swell and ach excruciatingly.
His fingers, which were full of age, trembled, made the tomahawk leap to the ground.
His breathing grew quicker and faster, and he understood why the elves weren't attacking him. They intended to let old age end his life.
Even though he knew about it, Hubble felt his consciousness begin to blur and his vision began to blur. He patted the pocket of his vest, unable to remember where he had put his reading glasses.
A figure appeared in front of him, a familiar figure. Is it Lena?
He couldn't see clearly without his glasses—Scarlet Moon was running through the twisted, distorted trees. She felt lonely, lost, and desperately searching for her friend.
She heard her name being called out from far away by the river wind in the sound of iron and gold clashing. Then she heard a cry, and her voice was cut off by a cry of pain.
She desperately pushed aside the branches and rushed forward, her whole body cut and scarred.
At last she found the river breeze, and the warrior was lying on the ground, covered in clusters of arrows—arrows she knew!
She ran to him and knelt beside him. "Heal him, Michay. She prayed as usual.
But nothing happened. The river breeze was gray on his cheeks, and the sun was not bloody.
His eyes remained unmoved, staring fixedly at the green-dyed sky.
"Why don't you answer!, heal him!" Crimson Moon cried to the gods. Then she knew.
"Don't!" she screamed. "Punish me! It is I who doubts you! It is I who shake my faith in you!
I watched Tarsis burned, and the children died in pain and wailing! How can you tolerate this? I try to believe you, but when I see that terrible situation, I can't help but waver.
Don't punish him......" She sobbed and lay on her husband's corpse, unresponsive to the approaching elven warrior.
Fascinated by the horror in front of him, Wade left the trail again, this time discovering that, somehow, his friends had gotten rid of him. The undead ignored him. These forms, which live on fear, do not feel any fear in their little bodies.
Finally, after wandering around for almost a full day, the Kanders finally reached the gates of the Tower of the Stars. Here his happy journey comes to an end, because he has found friends: at least one of them.
Leaning against the closed door, Lena was battling an ugly and unimaginable horde of enemies. Wade knew that if she could hide in the tower, she would be able to escape.
He galloped forward, his small body easily through the fight, ran to the door, and began to carefully check the lock of the gate.
Lina swung her sword frantically to stop the elves.
"Hurry up, Wade!" she was suffocating with fear.
It was a very simple lock, protected by a simple mechanism, and Wade was surprised why the elves bothered to do so.
"I can open this lock in a few seconds. He announced. Just as he was about to make a move, someone hit him in the back, causing his hand to slip.
"Hey!" he turned, exasperated and shouted to Lena. "Be careful—" He swallowed back the words he spoke. Lena lay at his feet, red hair stained with blood.
"No, Lena don't!" Wade whispered. Maybe she's just a little wounded! Maybe if he can get him into the tower, someone will be able to save her.
Tears blurred his vision, and his hands began to tremble. I've got to hurry, Wade thought nervously.
Why didn't the door open?
The lock snapped open, and he felt a slight pricking of his fingers. The door to the inside of the tower slowly opened. But Wade just stared at the small red dot on his finger.
He turned his head to look at the lock, which had a golden gold on it, and the tiny needle reflected the light.
A simple lock, a simple mechanism. He could have easily solved it.
When the toxicity began to kick in, he felt a fever all over his body, and when he looked down, he saw that it was too late.
Lena, the cute girl at the bar is dead.
Rodrith and his brother passed through the forest unscathed. Calamon watched in amazement as Rodrith used powerful magic to drive away his enemies, and at other times simply with words, he repelled the influx of monsters.
Rodlis is very considerate and attentive to others. Karamon has to rest non-stop throughout the day. In the evening, Calamon could only drag his feet forward, and even leaned on his brother.
Calamon grew weaker and weaker, and Rodlis grew stronger.
Finally, as night fell, bringing a terrifying day to a close, the twins finally arrived at the Tower of the Stars.
They stopped here, and Calamon was hot and in unbearable pain.
"I need to take a break, little brother. He gasped. "Put me down. ”
"Of course, brother. Rodrith said softly, leaning Calamon against the pink and white wall, and looked at his brother with calm eyes.
"Goodbye, Calamon. He said.
Calamon looked at his twin brother in disbelief. The warrior could see that in the shadows of the woods, there were still monsters that would not give up, watching him hesitantly.
When they knew that the mage who had the ability to expel them was leaving, they began to approach slowly, step by step.
"Little brother. Calamon said slowly. "You can't just leave me here!
I can't resist them. I can't fight anymore, I need you!"
"Perhaps, but you can see it, dear brother. I don't need you anymore.
I have gained your power. Now, I have finally escaped the cruel arrangement of nature, and I am a whole person again. “
Calamon looked at him incomprehensibly, and Rodrith began to turn away.
"Xiao Lei, tell me, why did it become like this?"
Calamon's desperate wails halted him.
Rodlis turned his head to his twin brother with a blank expression, his golden pupils exposed under the black hood, showing a different look.
