Chapter 264: Hunter
Lynch still just stood by the carriage, observing the beast - with his own eyes. Pen % fun % Pavilion www.biquge.info
There was a smell of blood that spread here, and it was the beast that came from it.
It was fast enough to at least keep up with Lily, who was still tugging at the little kid in the carriage but had calmed down, and it was quick enough that its natural beastly instincts always allowed it to hide itself as much as possible through the dense bushes around it during frequent movements.
It was now completely night, and it was still relatively dark, and the beast seemed to be at home in water, moving quickly and frequently, letting out a low growl and snoring, trying to intimidate the prey still standing on the road, while avoiding the detection of the senses in the carriage.
After missing the first round of sneak attacks, it didn't choose to leave.
The night was very dark due to the lack of stars and moon lighting, but this did not stop Lynch's vision, even though the monster was moving and dodging frequently, Lynch still captured the monster's form, flashing between the plants.
Its size is not large, the black fur is tightly attached to its explosive and strong streamlined muscles, it gives Lynch the feeling of a black panther, but the face is a little long, due to the angle, Lynch did not see clearly.
"What's that...... What a beast!" Polysius in the carriage once again leaned against the window, and his voice was a little small and muffled under the obstruction of the window: "This is a rare specialty of the Welsh Collar! The meat is delicious! Lynch killed it and we will eat it!"
As if the beast of the jungle had seized its chance, a dark, cloudy liquid shot at the window of Pericius again.
The spear turned into a sword again.
Lynch still blocked it with his long sword.
With the crisp sound of "ding" sounded again, the horse was a little restless, but still honestly motionless, although sweat was oozing from his back, and his body was trembling slightly. One look at it tells you that you have been trained for a long time.
Lynch shook off the black turbid liquid on the sword, and the splashed liquid stained the grass, immediately emitting green smoke and corroding the verdant green around him.
"This bodily fluid is poisonous...... Lynch looked at the ground and sighed, "Can you eat this thing?" β
As he spoke, he tapped the window to signal that Perisius was not outcropping, and as soon as he kicked his foot on the ground, the whole man rushed towards the beast's position at great speed.
He had changed his mind, he had thought that he would only use a throwing spear to shoot, or that he might or might not be able to kill his prey, but now he was going to kill the beast with certainty.
The beast let out a scream and faced Lynchβthis time Lynch finally saw the creature's face, slender and sharp, with six eyes spread out on either side of the slender cheeks, and arranged irregularly. There was a small hole at the sharp tip of its elongated head, which Lynch thought might be where it fired its "bullets".
It fired several disgusting bullets at Lynch, and its body ran in the opposite direction for Lynch.
The monster was fleeing backwards, but it was too slow compared to Lynch.
Maybe it's because this beast has no natural predators, it knows how to hide its body and how to hunt, and it also knows how to pick the weak, but it doesn't know how to seek advantages and avoid harm. Lynch thought to himself as he tugged at the brim of his hood with one hand, shielding the thin branches around him from the thin branches around him.
In an instant, Lynch caught up with his prey, without the flicker of a dagger, and then stabbed his sword into the throat of his prey before the beast could turn around.
It screamed, but its body had lost its strength for a moment, and the inertia of turning and lunging at Lynch continued, but that was about it.
The monster fell to the ground, twitching, its four hooves still fluttering, blood gurgling down its throat, but there was only a hollow there.
Lynch looked around for a moment, then walked towards the carriage with the carcass of the prey. Half a man tall, it doesn't look too big, but it's quite heavy.
This is actually a rather novel experience - it refers to moving corpses, and Lynch should be the first time to see a corpse that does not gradually evaporate into a black mist after death.
The carriage door opened, and Lily came out of it, one hand brushing her somewhat disheveled black hair, and in perception she had seen Lynch kill the beast.
The trail of blood stretched all the way down Lynch's drag, but by the time Lynch got to the carriage, there was not much left, and Perlicius cheered and ran in Lynch's direction, looking at the prey in Lynch's hand.
"Go back the way you came?" Lynch said to Lily as he watched as Perrisius carefully stroked the monster's corpse, "hang it in the back of the carriage, and we'll talk about the rest in the morning." β
Lily shook her head, "There's someone coming from there in the forest, heading this way. β
"How many?"
"One, the aura is about the level of Kenwo, is a mage. β
While Lynch was talking to Lily, a figure appeared on the road on the other side of the forest and walked towards Lynch, apparently with a clear purpose.
Lynch motioned for Polysius to return to the carriage while throwing the beast's body on the ground, waiting for the other to arrive.
This is a middle-aged man with a stubble on his face. He was dressed in thick clothes that were tightly bound and tightly wrapped around his body, with a hat on his head, a short knife in one hand, and a bow and arrow and a short bow on his back.
Mages can wear it like that, too.
The middle-aged man didn't choose to talk directly, he first stopped at the edge of Lynch and the others close enough but still a safe distance, looked at the beast on the ground, and then looked at Lily who was standing next to Lynch, until finally, he set his eyes on Lynch.
"I don't have anything more to ask," he said, pointing to the prey at Lynch's feet, "You killed it, damn it, I chased it for three days, and I caused the wound at the tip of its mouth." β
Perhaps this was the first smell of blood.
"Are you a hunter?" asked Lynch.
"For now, I make a living from it. As he spoke, he put away the short blade in his hand, walked over to Lynch, and held out his hand, "York." β
"Lynch. Lynch shook the other party's hand, the calluses on it were very thick, and the smell on the other party's body was not very good: "So what do you want to do with this thing?"
"It's yours. York said, returning his gaze to the dead beast, and crouched down, surveying its corpse, "Kill with one blow...... This thing's vitality is very tenacious, and even if it penetrates its throat, it should still be able to resist. Is it runic ability? Looks like you're pretty strong. β
Lynch shrugged.
The hunter gave up his search, and he looked back at the carriage, and noticed Perisius grimacing at him inside: "Why did you drive here?"
"We're on the wrong track. Lynch explained, "We're heading to Kate's precinct. β
"Oh......" The hunter nodded slowly and stood up, "That's right." β
"Actually, you don't have to go back the way you came," he said, "and the forest is difficult to walk, but I know of a way that leads directly to Kate's territory, and the carriage can barely pass through it." β
