If you can return to your heart and correct your qi, you are not a god or a bad.

The ancestor said: "I am cold, and those who are not quiet cannot bear it." Cheng Daoyan said: "The disciple has studied the Taoist scriptures for a long time, although he is not proficient in it, he also knows its reason: there is no sharpening of the sword, and it is difficult to avoid the bitter cold and have the fragrance of plums." The disciple is determined to be like iron, please ask the ancestor to learn clearly. The ancestor said: "I am withering, and those who are not strong cannot defend in vain." Cheng Daoyan said: "The disciple was once in the mortal world, looking at the cold and suffering of the world, and regarded himself as a desire to help the common people. If you can't endure suffering, you don't dare to come to worship your ancestors. The ancestor said: "I am in a small place, and there are many disciples, if you come with a pious heart, you can only receive registered disciples." I just don't know if you can accept it?" The ancestor frowned, and said, "Does the Jade Emperor have a send?" The disciple said: "The Jade Emperor has sent Li Jing, the Heavenly King of Tota, and the third prince of Nezha, the great god of the Three Altars of the Sea Society, to capture him in the lower realm. The ancestor said, "Keep coming." "When the people came, the ancestor asked the altar to open the altar to preach the scriptures, and Teen ordered Li Chengdao to observe.

Enlightenment was overjoyed, three steps and two steps into the scripture banquet hall, seeing that the disciples were sitting majestically, no one paid attention to him, and Chengdao chose a place by the door and sat on the ground. After a moment, I saw the ancestor walking out slowly, and all the disciples bowed down. The ancestor ordered his disciples to wait for the rest of his body, and said: "After completing the cultivation in the immeasurable eons, you will become enlightened under the Bodhi tree." For the sake of all sentient beings, they will appear like clouds filling the future. All sentient beings have doubts and are judged, the vast number of letters and understandings are ordered, boundless suffering is eliminated, and all Buddhas are happy and salty. How can the clouds observe the realm of the Buddha? The blessings of the Buddha are boundless, may this decree be pure! The clouds are the places where the Buddhas act, and they can be understood with wisdom? The Buddha's power is pure and boundless, and should be taught to all the bodhisattvas! The clouds are vast and all the samadhis? The clouds are pure and not afraid of the Dharma? The power of the gods is immeasurable, and I am willing to say it with the pleasure of all sentient beings! The Buddhas and Dharma kings are like the lords of the world, and they are free and incapable of doing things, and all the remaining vast Dharmas should be performed for the sake of profit! Like the sea of all sentient beings, all the sea of Anli in the Dharma realm, and the sea of Buddhas are also boundless, I am willing to open up for the Buddha! The ancestor said: "Li Chengdao, you have been here for fifteen years, have you understood and understood any mental methods?"

Cheng Daoyan said: "The apprentice carefully follows the master's teachings every day, concentrates on practice, carries water during the day and grinds at night, and now he has learned the trick of carrying water and the method of grinding." The brothers laughed when they heard this. The ancestor couldn't help laughing: "In the past fifteen years, I have ordered you to carry water and grind, day and night, but to let you grind away your anger, and also taste the hardships of the world. If you can't answer, I'm afraid you and I don't have the fate of master and apprentice, so you can go down the mountain as soon as possible and worship the famous teacher!" ”

The ancestor said: "Let me ask you, what is the biggest and what is the smallest in the world? What is the heaviest and lightest thing in the human heart? What is the most expensive and what is the cheapest in the red dust?"

Cheng Daoyan said: "Returning to the master, under the whole world, the heart is the greatest and the mind is the smallest. Therefore, humanity is bold and small-bellied, and the heart of man has the heaviest good thoughts and the lightest piety. Good thoughts are the heaviest, heavier than the bottom of the heart, so they are not easy to see, piety is the lightest, floating in the heart, so they are often on the lips; the center of the red dust is the most expensive, and the words are the cheapest. Tranquility is the most expensive, even if it is a prince and a general, a rich and wealthy gentry, all pursue my way in order to seek peace of mind. Words are the lightest, and most of the world's battles and seizures are due to the scourge of words, but the world does not know this solution, so there is a lot of noise and noise in the red dust all day long. ”

Old Ancestor said: "Although you are well versed in the world, you are too murderous and resentful, so it is difficult to become a big tool." For the sake of the teacher, I will remember you as a disciple and accept you as a disciple. The joy of enlightenment, without waiting for the ancestor to finish speaking, hurriedly knelt down: "Disciple knock and thank the teacher!" The ancestor said: "Although you are working hard in my place, you still have to follow the weekly etiquette and take the pot of wine as a courtesy before you can enter my door." Cheng Dao said happily: "Disciple remember, go and do it immediately." While he was talking, he saw a yellow-clothed disciple running in and secretly playing to the ancestor: "Then Sun Wukong returned to heaven, Li Tianwang went to get him, but he defeated the giant spirit god and injured the third prince, Li Tianwang had no plan, so he had to return to the court." The Jade Emperor wanted him to capture him, but the Tai Bai Xing played for him again, and persuaded the Jade Emperor to issue an order to recruit him and give him an empty title. The Jade Emperor ordered the Tai Platinum Star Nether to recruit An. I heard that Sun Wukong has gone to the sky with Venus. The ancestor frowned again, and said: "Today's feast, the right is here." Let's go down and cultivate. The people sang the promise and scattered themselves.

Na Chengdao didn't dare to slack off, and hurriedly prepared fine wine and dried meat, and then went to the ancestor's bedroom, but was told by the forbidden disciple that the ancestor was not in the palace. For more than a month, he still couldn't see his ancestor. Enlightenment had the heart to leave the mountain, but he thought that if he went at this time, his fifteen years of patience would be completely wasted. Another month, the forbidden disciple either said that the ancestor was in retreat, or that the ancestor was lying high, in short, it was difficult to see. Enlightenment thought about it repeatedly, and finally didn't know where to see the sin in the ancestor, and this matter was cared about, and it was often difficult to sleep and eat. Enlightenment is boring here, and I can't bear it, and I think that if I don't see the ancestor again, I will go back down the mountain and go to another way. I made up my mind to go to the dormitory the next day, and I didn't ask, knelt in front of the door, and waited for the ancestor to enter. Some disciples went to pass the ceremony, but there was no reply. There are also those who are generous with enlightenment, persuading: "The ancestor is redundant, how can he be free from time to time, it is difficult to see today, and he will come again tomorrow, why bother so hard, not only delaying the time, but also making the ancestor have a bad reputation." Chengdao didn't speak, and after kneeling for twelve hours, the forbidden disciples preached: "The ancestor has a will, and orders Li Chengdao to enter the palace to meet him." At this time, Enlightenment was not surprised, happy, angry, or resentful, stood up and staggered in. When I saw the ancestor, I knelt down and bowed again.

The ancestor said: "Li Chengdao, do you know why the teacher doesn't see you anymore?" Old Ancestor said: "I see you murderous, if you pass on some of your skills, it is difficult to ensure that you are not evil in the Three Realms." Now that the teacher intends to hone with you, I hope that you can calm down the murderous spirit and not lose the noble body of the immortal family. "Enlightenment is calm, offering the gift of worshipping the teacher, and then offering tea to the teacher. The ancestor said: "Today you have worshiped me as a teacher, and I will teach you some ways in the flow of words, I hope you will concentrate on learning and calming your mind." After attaining enlightenment, he thanked him again and asked, "The disciple has become a disciple of the teacher, and I also ask the teacher to give him the Dharma name." The ancestor said: "I made a vow for the teacher, only 8,400 mortal disciples are accepted, and there are 12 characters in the door: Guang, Da, Zhi, Hui, Zhen, Ru, Xing, Hai, Ying, Wu, Yuan, and Jue, and now the number of 8,400 is full, and you are a disciple after that, and you will no longer be named." Your name, although the word 'Cheng' is fierce, but the word 'Dao' is very auspicious, and it also has the meaning of achieving my Dao, so it is better to use this name. "I have been thanked, and since then, I have practiced the law of the hundred schools of thought and the three teachings of Taoism at the ancestor.

Unconsciously more than 300 years later, one day, another disciple secretly said: "After Sun Wukong was named the Monkey King, he had nothing to do, disturbing the order of the heavenly court, and the Jade Emperor listened to the advice and ordered him to guard the peach orchard, not wanting him to steal the peach, and steal the imperial wine, grab the countless elixirs of Laojun, and spoil the peach event." The Jade Emperor couldn't bear it anymore, so he sent the four heavenly kings to cooperate with Li Tianwang, and a total of 100,000 heavenly soldiers such as the third prince of Nezha, the twenty-eight su, the nine yao star officials, and the twelve yuanchen, and laid down an eighteen heavenly nets to capture him. When the ancestor heard this, he was also surprised, and ordered someone to preach the disciples. When all the disciples arrived, the ancestor said: "The mountains and fields here are withered, and there is no way to make ends meet, so the teacher intends to send the disciples down the mountain to preach the scriptures, but I don't know which disciples are willing to go." "Those disciples have their own thoughts, they have been learning in this mountain for a hundred years, thinking about some spells, if they go down the mountain, they will inevitably be worshiped by people, become ancestors and become ancestors, and then the glory and wealth will naturally be inexhaustible, but Taoism pays attention to inaction and calmness, so no one says. Old Ancestor said: "Li Chengdao, you have been practicing here for many years, and now you also know the righteousness and the essence well, and the teacher wants to send you down the mountain, are you willing." Li Chengdao said: "Back to the teacher, the disciple is only shallow in learning, not enough to take on this great task, and is willing to serve under the guidance of the teacher, in order to do the work of dogs and horses." "Under the leadership of the ancestors, they are all senior brothers who have attained enlightenment, with both talents and names, and high morality, and some people say: "The life of the teacher is to be willing to achieve all the disciples of my generation and spread the Tao in my door. Seeing this, all the disciples said that they were willing to go. Seeing this, the ancestor also sent many disciples down the mountain to preach. Therefore, after the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the culture was opened up and a hundred schools of thought contended, which is a later story.

Soon, news came that Sun Wukong defeated all the heavenly soldiers, and fortunately Guanyin Bodhisattva recommended the god of King Erlang of Chicheng and made a draw with that Wukong. The Bodhisattva wanted to hit Wukong with a jade bottle, but Lao Jun was afraid that the golden hoop stick would destroy the Bodhisattva's magic weapon, so he knocked over Wukong with a diamond bracelet and was escorted to heaven. Now, Lao Jun has cast Sun Wukong into the gossip furnace for exercise. When the ancestor heard this, he was very surprised, and hurriedly summoned Cheng Dao, and asked: "Li Cheng Dao, in the past hundreds of years, have you ever understood the essence of a hundred schools?" Cheng Dao said: "The disciple obeys the master's orders, and studies hard every day, although he does not dare to say that he has realized the essence, he also knows a thing or two. The ancestor asked: "What is 'benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and faith'?" Enlightenment thought that the ancestor did not like long talks, so he had to take some shortcuts, so he said: "Back to the teacher, the disciple is superficial and vain: great goodness is benevolence, reciprocity is righteousness, respect is courtesy, practice is faith, and knowledge is wisdom. The ancestor said: "In ancient times, Gonggong and Zhurong two gods competed, Gonggong was defeated, and the anger touched the Zhou Mountain, resulting in the heavenly pillar broken, the earth was extinct, but there are five pillars and nine dimensions in this heaven and earth, one pillar and one dimension, which is not enough to cause the heaven and earth to fall apart, and then the sky is tilted to the northwest and the earth is sunk to the southeast, why not?" Cheng Dao said: "When the heaven and the earth are not opened, there are two things in the chaos that are the strangest, one is extremely light and agile, and can go to the sky, called 'lustful gall', and the other thing is extremely heavy, can fall to the ground and sink into the abyss, and the name is 'greed'." Emperor Pangu was afraid that the two things would harm the heavens and the earth, so he and subdued them and suppressed them in the northwest Tianzhu and the southeast earth dimension respectively. Later, Gonggong and Zhurong fought, and Gonggong was defeated, so he touched Zhou Mountain with his head in anger. I don't want the pillar of heaven to be broken and the earth to be destroyed, so I release 'lust gall' and 'greed'. 'Lust' breaks the sky, and 'greed' destroys the earth, so the sky tilts to the northwest and the earth sinks to the southeast. The ancestor said: "Walking towards the sun, the shadow is behind you, walking with the sun back, the shadow is in front of you, why not?" Cheng Daoyan said: "Yang is the thing that helps people grow, and Yin is the thing that destroys people and dies. However, the light is still like the sun, like reputation and profit, and to it makes people help, and naturally throws away the dishonorable and unfavorable things; and the shadow is still yin, like destruction and damage, and cannot be defeated by reputation and profit, so it is avoided because everyone in the hearts of the world tends to be famous and profitable. The ancestor said: "The world has one after another, taking people as the primate, equality and non-deception, and concentric goodness, so the four seas are leveled, and the new reckless usurper Han is in the past, and the ancestral system is changed without permission, and all industries are withering, and the people's grievances are boiling." If the teacher sends you down the mountain, what should you do?" Cheng Dao said: "The Son of Heaven is a virtuous person, although Wang Mang does usurpation, he is also a virtuous person, humble and courteous to people, and praises the high name of the government and the public. Han ancestor Liu Bang, the snake uprising, is in the abdomen, the white emperor has already said in advance, to disconnect the surname Liu Jiangshan, this is the will of heaven. When Wang Mang was young, he was able to keep pure, simple and filial piety, and he was able to make friends with wise men, fight righteousness and squander wealth, and he was really a virtuous person. The decline of the Han Dynasty and the withering of the people's livelihood are not born of recklessness, but the legacy of the Han Dynasty. Recklessness can move at the right time and turn the tide, which is not only in line with the will of God, but also in line with the will of the people. It's just that after ascending the throne, the act of patronizing the people's livelihood and Wang Tian's private life violated the interests of the nobles, so he violated the Shangyang and did not practice good governance, which caused the people to be very resentful. The people only oppose corrupt officials, not the court, but they are tempted by traitors to risk their lives. If the disciples go down the mountain, they will definitely persuade the master to slaughter corrupt officials, eradicate traitors, return land to the people, return slaves to the family, treat officials harshly, and govern people in judo. ”

When the ancestor saw that it was unconventional, and looked at its aura, he had a little love. Now that he is using the murderous aura of enlightenment to restrain Wukong, it is good to avoid a lot of trouble in the Three Realms. So he said to Li Lang: "I have thirty-six changes in heaven and seventy-two changes in the earth, I don't know what you want to learn?" But I don't know what it means to 'change in thirty-six ways and change in seventy-two ways'?" Old Ancestor said: "These two skills are the secrets that Taoism does not pass on, and the art of transformation and formation. Li Lang said: "The disciple heard that the senior brother Sun Wukong had the honor of learning seventy-two changes, and the disciple did not dare to covet it, but asked the master to pass on the thirty-six changes to me." The ancestor was surprised when he heard this, and thought to himself that in the end, man is better than the spirit, and the monkey only knows a lot, how can he know the mystery of this? The thirty-six changes are the art of the great changes of Tiangang, so they are placed in the front, and the seventy-two changes are small changes in the earth, and they have to become images, but they cannot understand the mind and master the skills, so they let it go. In this way, it seems that God really wants this enlightenment to restrain Wukong. So he harvested the Tao as a disciple in the house, and passed on the thirty-six great changes. Thinking that the Bodhi ancestor is the culmination of the three schools of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, and the changes of heaven and earth are the stunts of life, how can they be easily taught? It's just that Sun Wukong acted recklessly, and only then did he pass on the changes of enlightenment Tiangang, and he intended to restrain Wukong.

A year has passed, and the enlightenment has already learned the art of mastering Tiangang. Old Ancestor said: "Now you are familiar with this trick, and you can change freely, but although this Tiangang change is powerful, it is the norm that disturbs the Three Realms. The teacher has made a vow, but whoever learns this art must not transfigurate more than three times, otherwise heaven and earth will not bless him, and he will invite endless disasters. Although you are outside the Five Elements, you cannot escape the Three Realms. I hope you will be cautious. "Enlightenment and goodbye. Old Ancestor said: "Your senior brother Sun Wukong is different after all, he is against the sky, stirring up the restlessness of the Three Realms, and the heavenly court cannot correct it. For the sake of the teacher and the reputation of my family, I will send you down the mountain and surrender to him. For the teacher, I will teach you a handle of Guanghua blade and a collar of Zhu Yi and crane. This Guanghua blade is three feet six inches long, two inches and four minutes wide, divided into black and white, the first sacrifice can break the real instrument, and then the sacrifice can punish the original god, can kill all kinds of gods and ghosts in the three worlds. It can only show its power when the sun and the moon shine, although it cannot see the blade, but it is as far as the eye can see, and the iron is like clay. But it can only be attacked, not false. The Monkey King's copper head and iron bones, this thing is specially refined for him. Now he is still exercising in the gossip furnace, if he escapes in the future, it is the right time to do it, and then the teacher will naturally let you go down the mountain and achieve fame, so that you can have a purple waist and become a road. Cheng Dao said: "The disciple obeys the order." The ancestor replied: "Sun Wukong came out of his own door, although no one can control it, but it is difficult to escape the palm of the teacher." If you do anything wrong in the future, kill lightly and fight well, and the teacher has his own way to control you, I hope you will conform to the will of heaven and do not violate the rules, so that you can do it yourself. That vermilion-clothed crane is a treasure, if it is not for the urgency of heaven, you must not wear it without permission. "Enlightenment and bowing again:" The disciple remembers the order of the teacher and will never dare to do anything wrong. ”

It is said that the Monkey King was led by Lao Jun, thrown into the gossip furnace, and exercised for 7749 days with civil and military fire, but the Wukong hid in the position of Xun Palace in the furnace, so he had to live. When the furnace was opened to take the Dan, he came out, knocked down the gossip furnace, knocked down the old gentleman, and went straight to the Tongming Palace. The Jade Emperor saw that the heavens would not be able to descend the monkeys, so he hurriedly sent an order to You Yiling Guan and Yi Sheng Zhenjun to the West Heaven to move to invite the Buddha to come and surrender.

When the ancestor learned about it, he said: "You have now learned the arts, but you are just irritable, and the teacher wants you to retreat and cultivate in order to hone your nature." If you have a stable mind and a good chance, you will definitely be able to support the Three Realms and achieve immortal achievements. "Enlightenment heard that the words were wrong, but the teacher's orders were difficult to do, even if he was unwilling, he had to obey the order. The ancestor ordered Chengdao to close his eyes, only to hear the whirring wind in his ears, and soon there was silence and no sound. After a long time, Cheng said: "Teacher, can the disciple open his eyes?" There was no response, and he asked three times in a row, but there was only an echo, and no one answered. Chengdao opened his eyes, but saw that the narrow place here was surrounded by smooth walls, like a bronze mirror around his body, reflecting countless figures. The copper wall is shining, dazzling, there is no bottom below, no top is above, and enlightenment hangs in the middle. Enlightenment is not knowing where this is, and wants to transform and cast spells, but he can't. Enlightenment was shocked, and he shouted for his teacher, but the echo was lingering, and no one came. This is exactly what it is: I only see people in front of me, but who knows the hard work behind them.
