Chapter II: Counter-Killing

"Gregory, my friend. You've got at least two things wrong. Morris stopped his body from trembling, he lifted his neck with difficulty, looked at the bearded strong man of Olus in front of him, and said astringently.

There was a boo, but Morris kept himself from thinking about it, and only stared at Gregory in front of himโ€”the Olus man with a surprised face, obviously not expecting him to calm down.

"First," he continued, "I treat my friendship with you with sincerity. I'm not a street performer you take prisoners of merchant ships to perform chest crushing boulders or devouring fire. I made an application to you to board the ship, and you formally invited me to board the ship, have you forgotten?"

Swallowing, Morris continued, "And I, by my life and honor, have never betrayed you. Therefore, your assault and attempted murder on me are completely unfounded and disrespectful. โ€

These are the words of Morris. Hell, he didn't know why he was involved in this, and he couldn't understand why this seemingly rough man was so angry.

"But the point of being taken prisoner is excluded. You did board the ship as a street performer, didn't you?" said Gregory, speaking in the non-standard Chinese language, "An oath won't prove anything, spy of the kingdom." I will make you pay for your cunning!"

Gregory laughed fiercely, and the knuckles of his dagger turned white, as if he was about to stab at Morris in the next second.

Spy? Why a spy? Morris's mind was racing.

"Don't interrupt me, you brainless Olus," Morris spat out a mouthful of bloody phlegm, and he looked at the twenty or thirty smiling pirates around him, and was even more sure that he was involved in a fatal misunderstanding, "I'm not done yet." โ€

"You don't have to provoke me to get the death you want. As you have succeeded in deceiving me to glory, I give you this right. Gregory's face was gloomy from his humiliation, but he remained unmoved.

"Well, second. "I don't think you've ever seen hanging, or that your barren thinking isn't enough to support your understanding of the harm this punishment has done to the human body, do you know why?"

"Why?" asked Gregory, grim as the people around him seemed to want to make a noise, but the pirate leader's eyes were like lightning, and no one dared to say anything under his glance.

"Because, the hanging of the kingdom is a sudden fall that causes the cervical vertebrae to be torn apart, not suffocation, and those are two different things......" Morris said slowly, and everyone around him, including Gregory, looked at him thoughtfully. He quietly held the hand of the reverse scissors on the hemp rope hanging from him. "You only get one chance. He thought.

He already had a plan and a decision. His magic is ready to kick in.

So at this time, Morris took a deep breath and calmed his pounding heart again. He shouted violently:

"So there's simply no time to kick your boots stupidly, you idiot!!"

The counterattack took place in an instant, but it took too long to brew. The magic of this world is not as convenient as imagined, and when the casting materials are lost, the mage's power is almost weakened to the limit. It took Morris more time begging for a miracle in his mind and injecting it into the clenched rope, and a small "snake transformation" was barely completed.

If you go back to the roots, it makes sense that this magic is called a trick. It itself was created by chance by some gifted, part-time snake charmer. In other words, the "snake changer" is both clumsy and crude, and its only effect is to give a short life to the long strips of fibrous material. Such as rope, wool, and even hair. The snake charmer who created it put the hemp rope in a bamboo basket and played the flute to beg for a miracle, and the hemp rope staggered up and danced like a snake. For the rest of his life, the gifted snake charmer made a lot of money from this street show.

However, it is not lethal at all.

Gregory was frightened by a shout from Morris, so he subconsciously wanted to stab the dagger in his hand, and if he was solid, Morris would definitely be blood-spattered on the spot. However, Morris had been prepared, and before he could finish speaking, he raised his head and looked fiercely at the dagger in front of him!

Then, he bit Gregory's right hand with a hard bite!

This time it was so ruthless that you could almost hear the sound of bones being bitten. Gregory screamed in pain, and the dagger fell to the deck, and he only had time to withdraw his right hand and swing his left fist in a single blow, which sent the bell and cymbal in Morris's head. It was only at this time that Morris's "snake transformation technique" was completed, and he saw that the hemp rope that tied him was like being awakened from hibernation, and "whoosh!" scattered at once, and after letting go of Morris, he fell to the ground and coiled into a ball, raising his head, but there was no faith to vomit.

All of this happened in a matter of seconds, and Gregory knew that his right hand was wounded, but the pirates around him had not yet come to his senses. At this point, Morris finally freed his hands, and he fell to the ground so hard that he almost vomited his lungs. However, he grabbed the dagger from the deck and lunged at Gregory.

He needs hostages!

Gregory retreated, he was tall and athletic, but Murris's incredible escape and the extreme distance between the two made him lose the opportunity, not to mention that the dagger was still in Murphy's hands.

So Morris won. By the time he came to his senses, his dagger had been plunged into Gregory's thigh, accompanied by a scream.

Blood splattered!

It was only then that the surrounding pirates reacted, and they all drew their weapons and were about to rush forward. Morris struggled to recall in his mind the hostage-taking scene in the police movie he had seen in his previous life, and grabbed Gregory by the neck, pulled him over, and put the dagger around his neck. The offensive and defensive situation was finally reversed.

"Don't move, you idiots!" roared Morris, gasping for breath. The blood on his forehead was gushing down, his eyes were red, and twenty or thirty figures were babbling but throwing rats. I don't know which idiot fired the shot. "Bang!" a loud thud burst from the muzzle of the gun with white smoke, swept across Morris's cheek and whistled into the sea.

This scared Morris into a cold sweat, and his body shrank behind the controlled Gregory. Luckily, this bullet was supposed to be the misfire of some unresponsive pirate, and the other pirates were still hesitant, but they drew their swords and raised their muskets, and gradually gathered around.
